The Holy Bible Is The Immutable Living Word Of The Eternal God.
The Only Bible we Recommend Is The King James /
A.V. Bible.
Here's the reason, shocking but enlightening truth: The Bible Is Used To Deceive
Leviticus
26:17
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies:
they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye
shall flee when none pursueth you.
Ezekiel
20:26 ……
that I might make them
desolate, to the end
that they might know that I am the LORD.
A Message From Peter James
The
Spirit In Man Part 2
Our original document The
Spirit in Man was updated in
October 2006.
This document supplies
additional information on what is a very big and important subject.
Job
32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them
understanding.
Whatever else we might like
to believe there is the very plain statement that there
is a spirit in man. This is
not an immortal soul.
Is this a small matter or
rather something that even the Eternal God regards as a great
thing?
I would say that it is a
great thing.
The prophet Zechariah when
referring to the LORD said this:
Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD,
which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth,
and formeth the spirit of man within him.
In the very same sentence that stretching forth the heavens, and laying
the foundation of the earth, which are truly awesome events are mentioned,
we are also told that the LORD formed the spirit of man within him.
I take this to mean that
these are comparable events in the eyes of the Eternal God.
This is not simply breath
as the breath of men, animals, birds and fish.
The apostle Paul makes it
clear that we have a body, soul, and spirit.
1
Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I
pray God
your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless
unto the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
As I repeatedly state ‘and’
is a conjunction.
It means the adding of more
than one thing to another.
Therefore, spirit + soul + body = man
According to
Genesis a body + spirit
= soul
Genesis
2:7 And the LORD God
formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became
a living soul.
Here we see that out of the
ground the LORD made a body, but it was a lifeless body,
a corpse. In fact just like
we all have been dead in sins.
In Genesis 2:7, the original
Hebrew says ‘the breath of lives’ and not ‘the breath of
life’.
This shows that more than
one thing happened.
The physical breath was
breathed into the man,
and also at the same time
the spirit in man.
Ephesians
2:1
And you hath he quickened, who were
dead in trespasses and sins;
Ephesians
2:5
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)
In Genesis 2:7 we see that the
lifeless body became a living soul.
The breath of lives was
breathed into man and gave him life.
This breath of lives is
closely tied to the spirit in man.
There is the tangible
physical breath, and also the ‘spirit in man’,
mentioned above in Job 32:8 and Zechariah 12:1
We are told
what we all know the flesh can and does perish.
We need to
consider the following.
Man was made
in the image of the Eternal God.
He was not
made nor did he evolve from any kind of animal.
Genesis
1:27 So God created man
in his own image, in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he
them.
The Glory of
the Eternal God shines forth from Him.
We see a
similar pattern of this at what is called the transfiguration of Christ.
Matthew
17:1 ¶ And after six days
Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother,
and bringeth them up into
an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his
face did shine as the sun, and his raiment
was white as the light.
Sinless Adam and Eve had no
clothing, and yet they were not ashamed.
There is more to this than
simple nakedness, after all they were alone and they
were husband and wife.
Their pristine ‘spirit in
man’ let the glory of the spirit in man shine forth from them
like a garment. When they
sinned the glory went out and they were now looking very
different and even pathetic
indeed. Therefore they sought to make a covering for
themselves to replace that
which they had lost with fig leaves.
It seems almost absurd.
Today freemasons use symbolic aprons from the waist to cover
themselves.
The Mormons also have a
very similar apron.
The reason for both to have
the same type of origin shows that they are closely linked
together, as they are from
the same stable.
The picture
that Satan gives to us is that those who it wants the world
to consider as
being holy are shown with a halo around their head.
Surely this
halo represents the sun.
The covering
from the bodies of Adam and Eve came from within, it was not an
appendage
stuck on from the outside like clothes, aprons and such like.
It was a
glorious covering that enhanced their appearance.
It is only
because of our fallen state that the glorious shining forth of the spirit
in man has as
it were been turned off.
Please do not
be confused.
I am not
speaking about the glory of the future resurrected persons who are given
spiritual
bodies, which is an entirely different matter and also on a much higher plane.
1
Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is
raised a spiritual body.
There is a natural body,
and there is a spiritual body.
In the
meantime we see that:
Job
34:15 All flesh shall
perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
In the
preceding verses we see that Job is referring to God.
Job
34:12 Yea, surely God
will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert
judgment.
In verse 14 we see that God gathers to Himself the spirit
of the man
and his
breath. There is that word “and” again
Here we see
the separate and distinct components which reside in the human body.
Job
34:14
If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself
his spirit and
his breath;
In the New Testament we are
told that the soul can be separated from its spirit.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This is an act of such intricacy that it takes the Eternal God to do it.
Can we tell the difference between thoughts and intents?
Consider this absolutely astounding evaluation of the nation of Assyria.
We are told that the Assyrian does not mean to do what he is going to do,
and that he does not even think that he will act in the way which he will act.
This is absolutely incredible.
Isaiah
10:5 ¶ O Assyrian, the rod
of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine
indignation.
6 I will send him
against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I
give him a charge, to take
the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the
mire of the streets.
7 Howbeit he
meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it
is in his heart to
destroy and cut off nations not a few.
Man also has no means whatsoever of preventing the spirit from leaving the body.
We can try to resuscitate a person by pumping air into them, but if their spirit has
actually left the body that person will remain quite dead, unless the Eternal God
intervenes and returns their spirit to them.
Ecclesiastes 8:8
There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit;
neither hath he power in the day of death:
and there is no discharge in that war;
neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
This miracle of restoring life can and does happen sometimes.
Luke 8: 54 And he (Christ) put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called,
saying,
Maid, arise.
55 And her spirit came again, and she arose
straightway: and he commanded to give her
meat.
Why is this subject important?
There are many reasons, and
not least is the fact that the synagogue of Satan teaches
that we have an immortal
soul.
This is a lie.
There are also many strange
teachings which have evolved from this immortal soul
doctrine. The modern
translations have been corrupted to allow for a purgatory and limbo.
If we are immortal we
already have eternal life, we then really do not need to worry.
We do not really need a
saviour.
All we have to do is really
love ourselves, others and mother earth who protects us
and that is it. This is
truly nonsense and idolatry and blasphemy of the highest calibre.
We are told that the soul
that sinneth and does not repent shall die.
Ezekiel
18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul
of the
son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Ezekiel
18:20
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the
father, neither shall the
father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the
righteous shall be upon
him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
This means that the money
spinning doctrine of purgatory is evil and utterly wrong.
Ezekiel 18:20 makes it crystal clear that each man is responsible for
his own sin.
No other person or no
amount of money can remove or lessen the sentence incurred by sin.
The word soul
in both of these verses is the very same word as in Genesis 2:7
which we
quoted earlier ‘Nephesh’.
Understandably
the word ‘Nephesh’ which occurs many hundreds
of times in the Old
Testament is
translated soul in the vast majority of cases, however, around 44 other
words are used
to translate the very same word in various places.
The situation
is the same in the New Testament where the equivalent word is ‘Pusche’.
This occurs
around 100 times and in just over half it is rendered ‘soul’ and the other
times
58 times it is
translated soul
40 times it is
translated life
3 times it is
translated heart
1 time heart,
heartily, us and you.
In the Old
Testament, the word for spirit is ‘Ruach’.
It appears almost 400 times and although in over
half
of the cases
it is translated spirit, there are also 22 additional different words which are
used to
translate it.
It is easy to see from the above that we have to
carefully consider all the contexts
and seek guidance to arrive at any conclusion.
We
should not assume that the translators have it absolutely right,
we are just as entitled to
carefully consider and to study all the scriptures as we have
been commanded to do.
There are times when even the King
James bible, though it is very good, has translation inaccuracies in it.
2
Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.
To study just to
acquire knowledge is to eat from the wrong tree.
It is sometimes possible that we
arrive at a different conclusion,
based on what has been revealed to
us.
We must not strive to be different
just to present something new and different.
We are obliged to state what we
ultimately believe to be true.
It is a simple
observable fact that people are dying around us all the time,
so we know
that they body can and does die.
Hebrews
9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once
to die, but after this the judgment:
The first
death does not destroy the spirit in man, however, the spirit in man can be
completely
destroyed, again proving the lie of the ‘immortality of the soul.
The false idea
that the Eternal God who created spirit cannot destroy it is nonsense.
The LORD can
give life to the dead and conversely give death to that which lives.
Matthew
25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Malachi
4:3 And ye shall tread
down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles
of your feet in the day
that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
As we have stated in our
document which explains how “The Bible Is Used To Deceive “,
we have to be exceedingly careful
how we use the explanations given by Strong and the
various commentaries. Many
did not believe in the inspiration of the bible and some even
use pagan sources to foist
their ideas on to us. Wescott And Hort on whom most modern
translations rely were
Satanists.
When people die their body
goes into the grave in some way, but their spirit returns to
God.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as
it was: and the spirit shall
return unto God who gave it.
It is the fact that the
spirit which holds the entire blue print of the body including
memories, emotions and
feelings, still exists because it has returned to God that a person
can be resurrected, and
they will be identical in appearance to how they originally
appeared, with all their
memories completely intact.
There is no point in
resurrecting someone who has already
died just for their
body to be destroyed again.
The fact is that the spirit has to be dealt with.
This means that the
incorrigible wicked, those that utterly refuse to accept Christ
as Saviour and to be
subject to him, have to be utterly destroyed, not only their body
but also their spirit. Of
course this does not mean that if you are not part of the first
resurrection you are
doomed. As I said complete destruction is only for those who
completely reject Christ,
and prefer to follow our adversary Satan, the devil.
Follow him is certainly
what they will do, and that is right into the Lake of fire.
Revelation
20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the
book of life was
cast into
the lake of fire.
In the following verse we
see that Christ makes a distinction between being able to kill
the body and killing the
soul.
As we have explained the
soul includes the spirit, therefore we can say do not fear
those who kill the body but
cannot kill the spirit. Rather fear Him who can kill the body
and the spirit, which
together comprise the soul.
Even in common usage in the
English Language it used to be quite
common to say
that a ship sank with so
many ‘souls’ on it.
Technically this was
correct.
Matthew
10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the
soul:
but rather fear him which
is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
When speaking to His Church
Christ specifically said that overcomers will not be subject
to the second death.
Revelation
2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches;
He that overcometh shall
not be hurt of the second death.
Revelation
20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath
part in the first resurrection: on such
the second death
hath no power, but they shall be priests of
God and of Christ,
and shall reign with him a
thousand years.
Believers are encouragingly
told that if you take part in the first resurrection, the second
death will not affect you.
This simply means that it is possible for the second death
to eliminate you so that it
would be as if you never existed in the first place.
There is no way to pray a
‘spirit’ out of purgatory or any such non-existing place
See our original document The
Spirit in Man, where further detail is
given
regarding Lazarus and the
Rich Man.
The doctrine
of immortality of the soul crosses many religions and secret societies.
The most
prominent advocate of this erroneous teaching is the Roman Catholic Church,
Babylon the
Great.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Holy
Ghost
The word used
to translate spirit appears in the New Testament 234 times.
This includes
Holy Spirit, spirit, spirit, and evil spirit.
Sometimes it
is translated Holy Spirit and other times Holy Ghost.
The word used
to translate ghost appears in the New Testament 97 times.
The remainder
of the grand total of 350 times includes words such as spirits.
The point is
this why change the word spirit to ghost?
In the Old
Testament the word Ghost is used 11 times.
Each time it
refers to dying, someone giving up the ghost.
The single
word which appears 348 times is translated spirit, breath,
Spirit, mind,
wind etc.
It is
therefore clear that in both the Old and New Testament that the context
is very
important in determining the best translation of the word.
Though I am
neither a theologian nor a translator my view has always been that the use
of the word ‘Ghost’ just confuses things, and makes the Eternal
God somewhat ‘spooky’.
Personally I
feel that the word ‘spirit’ fits much better
when considered with the bible
as a whole. We
have been told there is a spirit in Man, and we can add the various
scriptures in
the Psalms etc. This understanding certainly makes the spirit world,
which is
something which we only see through a glass darkly, just little clearer.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Without the
spirit in man we would be unable to communicate with the Eternal God.
1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man
knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so
the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned.
It does not say that we need either a soul or an immortal soul in order to communicate
with the Eternal God.
The spirit in man is an exceedingly important matter as that is the dwelling place
of the Holy Spirit, which makes us the Temple of the Living God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you.
The only way out of our dilemmas is Jesus Christ.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come soon Lord Jesus.
Amen.
