The Holy Bible Is The Immutable Living Word Of The Eternal God.
The Only Bible we Recommend Is The King James / A.V. Bible.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Today the word truth is used by our adversary, Satan, to deceive countless millions.
All sort of ideas, doctrines, and various beliefs are peddled as Truth.
The deceived people accept most of what they hear and read as truth.
Often it is not related in any way whatsoever, to truth,
but usually it is the exact opposite of truth.
To suggest that what you see on CNN, Fox and other TV news
programs is really entertainment rather than news, much less truth,
and to suggest that almost all the media is controlled is to invite widespread scorn
There are many magazines with truth as part of the title.
Banner of Truth, Scripture Truth, Plain Truth, Gospel Truth, Present Truth,
and on and on it goes. Whether the contents actually agree with the Word of God,
and the Truth, is another matter entirely.
Our leaders political and religious, have mastered the art of lying,
while claiming to speak the truth.
Many writers accumulate facts, and claim that this is truth, and they believe that
knowing these facts, we will then be set free.
In one very recent argument one media spokesperson said that truth was subjective.
These comments are not accurate.
Truth is absolute.
Many people take the phrase ‘the truth shall make you free’ and write messages
and even books with this title.
Although the phrase does stand on its own, we need to be careful and look
at the context, and the biblical definition of Truth.
Verse 31 states that Christ was speaking to those Jews who believed on him.
This was a specific group of people, and not the general public.
They were believers.
We need to notice that we then have an important conditional phrase,
‘if you continue in my word’.
This means that Truth and continuing in the word are linked.
It also says that if we continue in the word we are Christ’s disciples.
We also know that Christ, is the Word.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
We also know that Christ is the Truth.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
We can see from these verses that it is Christ who sets us free,
and not a set of facts, although facts of course are important.
This is a very pertinent scripture.
We have to diligently seek for the Truth and only then will we find it.
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find; knock,
and it shall be opened unto you.
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me,
when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
It is critical to continue in the Word. This means we must listen to, and obey everything
that the Eternal says, as this is the reason for our existence.
Our works, which are then of Christ will be acceptable.
We will no longer be in bondage to Satan and his system.
As believers, the Truth, Christ would have really set us free.
The Second epistle of John puts it beautifully.
Truth is Christ, period.
2 John 1-3 ….. whom I love in the truth; and not I only,
but also all they that have known the truth;
2 For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Truth is not only with us, but will also be in us forever.
We must now urgently busy ourselves with seeking the Truth.
Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God,
thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
The only way out of our dilemmas is Jesus Christ.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come soon Lord Jesus.
