The stark reality is that as a
human being living on planet earth, your life is micro managed.
This will come as a great shock to
most people, but it is absolutely true.
We have a choice to make.
It is this.
Who is going to micro manage our
life?
Is it going to be Christ or
Satan?
We have been clearly told to
choose life.
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day
against you,
that I have set before you life and death, blessing
and cursing: therefore choose life,
that both thou and thy seed may live:
It was exactly the same in the
Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had a choice,
and they were commanded what to
choose.
We need to understand that the
purpose, and goals of Christ or Satan are very different indeed.
Satan’s goal is our destruction.
It is very clear.
The means are very subtle but
the objective is straightforward.
He wants to control and manipulate
us in order to kill us.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Christ also micro manages our
life, but with a very different purpose.
This is the reality of the life
of one whom Christ is calling, and a Christian.
We have to realise that the
micro management of a true believer goes back
a very long time.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
unto good works, which God hath before ordained
(Weymouth Translation says
predestined), that we should walk in them.
We are told that before we
appeared on the earth as human beings, the events which are taking
place now were pre-ordained. It
is quite staggering to understand that the fact that I am writing
this message ,and what it says,
was ordained even before I was born.
This micro management is not to
control and manipulate us by whim, but rather to utterly transform us.
We are being changed from simple
stones of clay into precious stones.
Is this just a nice intellectual
concept?
No, it is not.
We are told:
Matthew 10: 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and
one of them shall not fall
on the ground without your Father.
30 But the
very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye
not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
I would say that if each of the hairs on our heads has
its own individual number,
we can surely say that is micro management of the
highest order,
but it goes much, much deeper than that.
When someone is sick, say with cancer, and the Eternal
God miraculously heals them,
it is each individual cancerous cell which is
destroyed.
We do not tend to think things through.
Literally every single cell in the body has to do
precisely what the Eternal God tells it to do.
In fact even Satan cannot do a single thing beyond
what he is permitted to do.
To see this, read the first two chapters of Job and the
story about the wicked prophet Balaam in Numbers 22.
Now the reality in the life of a Christian is this.
Absolutely nothing at all happens in the
life of a Christian, without the express permission
of the Eternal God. Even if it is an
attack by Satan in any guise whatsoever.
Permission had to be sought.
It is a gross error to reason that God would not let
us suffer.
Which diamond was made without intense heat and
pressure?
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in
me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good
cheer; I have overcome the world.
Here is an example that tribulation results in
patience.
Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in
tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
The little itch, the severe headache, the confrontation
with a miserable person,
the selfish thoughtless words and deeds of your
partner, have all passed before
the throne of God. Can you believe this?
There is the marvelous purpose of transformation which
is being worked out in our lives.
The fact that we have to endure pain, and that we do
not understand what is taking place
is quite immaterial.
Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all
things, and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain
of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Christ suffered and died willingly for us, we have to
be prepared to be rejected and to suffer.
Luke 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many
things, and be rejected of the elders and
chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised
the third day.
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The
servant is not greater than his lord.
If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute
you; if they have kept my saying,
they will keep yours also.
Suffering produces perfection.
I am certainly not saying that it is easy to endure
pain and suffering, far from it.
It most definitely is not.
We need to pray for Christ to be our strength to
endure whatever befalls us.
What I am saying is when you understand what is
happening it makes it easier to deal with it.
Thus we are told,
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together
for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his
purpose.
Our glorious potter knows exactly, and precisely what
He is doing with His clay.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father;
we are the clay, and thou our potter;
and we all are the work of thy
hand.
If you have the opportunity to visit a pottery and you
see the beautifully glazed finished articles,
then you go through the pottery, you will see that not
a single thing was left to chance.
Absolutely everything was by design, from the
pummeling to mix the clay thoroughly and get the air
out, to the firings, the painting, and the glazing.
Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest
against God? Shall the thing formed say
to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me
thus?
21 Hath
not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto
honour,
and another unto dishonour?
22 What
if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known,
endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath
fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of
his glory on the vessels of mercy,
which he had afore prepared unto glory,
One consequence of this is that we need to be very
careful that our ‘good works’, do not negate
what the Eternal is trying to do in the life of a
person.
Think very carefully about this statement.
Finally on a personal level we need to accept that
everything that happens to us has been ordained
for our good and rather than complain as we are prone
to do, give thanks, even when we are suffering.
One day we will understand what happened to us and
why. Again I repeat this is not easy,
we have to pray for the strength.
Even now we can see that events can humble us, cause
us to be patient, force us to persevere,
and ultimately to trust the Eternal God in a way we
would never have done if our life
was all plain sailing.
Sometimes we might be directly confronted by our
adversary through our partners, children or associates.
Do not blow out on the family, and friends.
Pray for discernment and rebuke the real culprit,
Satan.
The Eternal wants is to confront the enemy, not in our
strength but in His strength.
We have to be doing this now because as we rush
headlong further into the tribulation,
we will be having to face evil spirit beings and
exceedingly wicked people which we have never done
previously.
We have to fight and to endure.
Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my
name’s sake:
but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
What an honour to be micro managed by the Eternal God,
knowing with absolute certainty
that that if we endure to the end we will have Eternal
life.
The Eternal God is training His warriors for what lies
ahead, and ultimately to receive our inheritance.
Let us therefore cooperate with, and be thankful for what
the Eternal God is doing for us,
and be careful not to drift into the camp of our
adversary, who is a loser, who has already lost.
The only way out of our dilemmas is Jesus Christ.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come
soon Lord Jesus.
Amen.
