Most believers,or students of the bible, believe that the very fact that they study the bible ensures

that they cannot be deceived.

Non-believers also believe that they cannot be deceived, like the believers whom they view as being deceived.

The reality is that absolutely every one can, and at some time has been deceived.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,

which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Those who are willing are in the process of being moved out of deception.

It requires that we humble ourselves, repent, listen to and obey the Eternal God.

We have to realise that most Roman Catholics are deceived as they do not read the bible in the first place.

If they do read the bible, they are immediately encouraged to destroy the King James bible which is probably

the best version available, and to read the distorted Roman Catholic bible.

In my experience, it is the bible readers who have the greatest difficulty accepting that it is possible for them

to be misled. They feel that as they are attending a church, and going to Bible Studies,

therefore deception is not possible.

The exact opposite is true, many who walk around with a bible have no idea what it says.

If they quote scripture at you, I always suggest that you challenge them and ask them what it means.

Often they have no idea.

In my experience I know how very easy it is to be deceived in almost all areas of life.

The great danger for us is that we simply do not understand the scriptures,

but we also do not understand the tactics of our adversary, Satan.

It is not without reason that we are told of Satan’s subtlety and ability.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.

And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce,

if it were possible, even the elect.

1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

The word seduce says it all.

You do not realize that it is happening.

There are movements today, which are actively discrediting certain books of the bible.

They are toe in the door movements.

We must realize that when one book of the bible is discredited,

then automatically others also have to be thrown out, as the bible is a composite whole.

It is far wiser to accept that one does not understand something,

rather than to start throwing books of the bible away.

There are over 400 versions of the bible and many of them are not worth

the paper on which they are written. The newer they are, the worse they tend to be.

Some are paraphrases, others leave chunks of scripture out.

Most are the handy work of our enemy.

We are simply being naïve if we believe that because it is called The Holy Bible,

and it has a clear and severe warning not to mess with it, that it has not been messed with it.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book,

If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,

God shall take away his part out of the book of life,

and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Many so called churches publish their own bibles, the Roman Catholics, the Mormons, The Jehovah Witnesses,

to name just three, and you can see the Freemason logo or other Satanic signs on many bibles.

The widely touted and popular New International Version, even goes as far as telling you how many consecutive

verses you can quote at a time. I believe that it is fifty.

They also seek royalties.

As you know we have nothing to sell on this website.

Here is some absolutely free advice.

Save yourself some time, effort and money and do not quote any verses at all from The New International.

You might even be fortunate enough to find out that the verses which you want to quote they have been omitted!

Don’t send it to the charity shop, just use it to keep you warm by putting it in your fireplace if you have one.

The New Message bible is also very popular.

It is not a translation but a paraphrase and a very bad one at that.

Although it is a very thick tome, it is normally found to consist of the New Testament only.

When you find a bible which just consists of the New Testament only, and maybe the Psalms,

the producers are making a very clear statement. They are saying that the Old Testament

is no longer applicable, as we are under the New Covenant.

That is absolute nonsense as many articles on our website makes clear.

Then there is the Living Bible, and on and on it goes.

Of course you can read them, but you cannot use them to study doctrine and understand what God is telling us.

I cannot go through all 400 hundred plus bibles.

Whether you read the Old or New Testament, you will see that every Word of God is important,

not every other word, or some words.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,

but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

We can see that the Word of the Lord is forever.

1 John 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning.

The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

The Word of the Lord sets us apart as Holy, and makes us a new creation.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

It does not say the New Testament, but all ‘Thy Word’.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God,

which liveth and abideth for ever.

Darby 2 Corinthians 5:17 So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away;

behold all things have become new:

If you only accept bits and pieces of the word, you can hardly claim to be dressed and ready for war.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

In fact we can say that you are very naked indeed, and in great trouble.

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;

and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

It is very important to understand that for most of us, our physical blessings,

which result in us being able to live comfortable lives, make up the biggest part of our deception.

Physically we have all the needs, and even more than the wants which we could desire.

We are very comfortable in our complacency.

We do not want our insulated cocoon tampered with in any way.

We have been deceived into believing that we have no need of God.

We are even prepared to accept draconian laws, which we erroneously believe will keep things as they are.

We do not see that any rights we give up are gone forever.

We do not realize that because of our rebellion we will at some time pay the inevitable price,

which all rebels must pay. See: The Preview

We do not see that laws which are enacted, will be implemented. That is their purpose.

We will awaken to suddenly find ourselves in one vast prison,

from which escape is impossible without the intervention of the Eternal. See: The Prison

Such is our deception.

Those of us who accept the Word of God are hated, and rejected by the World which calls itself Christian.

John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world,

even as I am not of the world.

Most who argue about the Old and New Covenants do not realize exactly who the Word of God is .

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,

the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We have to be careful, even with the King James version, though I consider it the best.

Some of the added headings and added words in Italics are certainly not inspired,

and I believe them to be in error as they can give the verse the opposite meaning

which is intended in the original.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce,

if it were possible, even the elect.

Note it were is Italics, therefore it has been added.

How would genuine believers who have all the basic doctrines and obey the commandments be deceived ?

1) Our adversary would attempt to convince us that we are not who we are.

You are not a born again believer with the indwelling Holy Spirit.

You are a nothing.

If you think that he would not do that, think again.

Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God,

command that these stones be made bread.

Matthew 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written,

He shall give his angels charge concerning

thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Satan saved his very best to throw at Christ and twice out of the three temptations mentioned,

he tried to convince Christ that He was not who He was.

If he did it to Christ then he most assuredly will do it to you and I.

2) Our adversary would try to make genuine servants of the Eternal God believe that they are not up to the task

for which they have been directly called.

The objective is to frustrate them and make them want to give up.

I am not speaking of those who set themselves up in various positions.

They would tend to think that they are equal to anything.

Those whom regard as the greatest prophets were harassed in this manner.

Elijah said:

1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree:

and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now,

O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

God sent Jonah to Nineveh.

Jonah promptly went in the opposite direction, then made the same request as Elijah.

Jonah 1:1 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

12 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

13 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa;

and he found a ship going to

Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

Jonah 4:3 Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.

3) Our adversary tries and often succeeds to get churches and individuals to teach that either,

that he does not exist or that it is he who is running their church, or that he has to be directly confronted

actively day in day out.

We are told:

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;

and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Matthew 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God,

and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Here we see Christ actively confronting the enemy and our adversary.

He did exactly what James 4:7 quoted above said.

He fled.

We need to seriously consider what happened here.

This Satanic assault was destroyed because Christ quoted the powerful Word of God to Satan.

Satan has no answer to this.

Isaiah 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb;

from the bowels of my

mother hath he made mention of my name.

2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft;

in his quiver hath he hid me;

Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:

and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

However, if we have had it drummed into our heads, and believe that the Word of God is irrelevant,

then what is the tool that we have to confront our enemy?

Often we have indeed become fools, while we profess to be wise.

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

The Word of God has to become an intrinsic part of our very existence, and not just something we read in a book

for a few minutes every day.

The job which genuine believers is doing is not pointless and useless.

If we are carrying out the Word of the Eternal, which on this site we call ‘Rhema’,

you can be assured that you are not wasting your time.

Do not accept Satan’s lie.

This is what the Eternal God says:

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void,

but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Of course if you are doing your own thing, however, well meaning, you are wasting your time.

You can see how critical it is to know who we are,

what our calling is,

and the tools at our disposal.

If we lack in any of these areas we will surely suffer loss.

The only way out of our dilemmas is Jesus Christ.

He is the only way of escape.

Praise the Lord.
