                          Charity V Love

By Peter James from:   www.peterjamesx.com

Some short time ago, I wrote a document, where I explained that

it was wrong to call people ‘good people’.

Like the rest of the world, it had become an intrinsic part of my being,

and sometimes it still tries to sneak through, and succeeds.

Bad habits are hard to break.

The reason for my document, was that Christ said that ‘good’,

was a title of the Eternal God, Himself, and not of any human being.

This matter of Charity, and Love, is even bigger, and considerably harder

to deal with, than using the word ‘good’,  as you will see.

This is what the apostle: Paul says:

1 Corinthians 13: says:

1 Corinthians 13:1   Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,

and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass,

or a tinkling cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy,

and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;

and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,

and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:3  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,

and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity,

it profiteth me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not;

charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 13:5  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own,

is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1 Corinthians 13:6  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1 Corinthians 13:7  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things,

endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:8  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies,

they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease;

whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

In many modern, and supposedly easy to understand bibles,

the word charity is changed to the word Love.

This is very wrong.

Charity and love are not synonyms.

They are completely different.

Therefore they cannot be used interchangeably.

Love, is a title of the Eternal God.

Charity is not a title of the Eternal God.

It is rather an act or condition of human beings.

This is the vast difference between the two words.

Love is of the Eternal God.

Charity is of man.

1 John 4:8  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4:16  And we have known and believed the love that God

hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God,

and God in him.

It follows that the only way that we can have or use the word ‘Love’,

is if we have Christ as the Holy Spirit dwelling in us,

as then the love, which we have is not our own,

just as real patience, faith, wisdom, understanding, long suffering,

and any of the characteristics of God, which He forms, and develops

in us, and which we enable Him to grow and mature,

is of the Eternal God and not of ourselves.

Sadly, today the word ‘Love’, has been grossly debased,

even to the point of blasphemy.

We say that people who are committing fornication and adultery

have been making love.

The Eternal God has nothing whatsoever to do with sin,

but the reality is that, although we do not realise it,

this is what these words imply.

It is said that homosexuals, lesbians, and participants in group sex

or even paedophile activity are making love.

No they are not.

This activity had nothing whatsoever to do with the Eternal God.

They were indulging in sinful sex, period,

and we should declare it to be sex, or sleeping together,

or anything else, that we might chose to call it,

but absolutely cannot say making  love.

I find it interesting that even countless people,

who are in love, can find it difficult to say ‘I love you’.

It is probably a built in part of our being,

which says that this is not something, that you should be saying.

A normal human being without knowing the Eternal God,

has certain value systems built into him,

so that he knows some deeds are wrong.

Of course in time, we can try to snuff out, what some call our concience,

but never the less, deep down, we know that it is wrong.

We can use other words, such as affection,

but I do not see any other words replacing the word love,

in its countless very extensive uses anytime soon, or even ever.

Advertising is absolutely full of words telling us,

that we love any physical thing that we can imagine,

from coffee to cars and everything else inbetween.

Of course most of people, do not even believe that the Eternal God exists,

therefore, the chance that they would understand the Love of God, is zero.

Looking at another but related facet, which also promotes confusion is

godliness and contentment.

1 Timothy 6:6  But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Does it mean that we should have two qualities,

one which is called godliness, and the other is called contentment?

It cannot mean such a thing.

Godliness by definition is also a quality of the Eternal God.

There is nothing, no types of works, that we could do,

which would somehow make us Godly.

If you think about it for a moment,

you would see that in fact it is absurd concept.

As I have stated, the Eternal God is in an entirely different dimension,

and furthermore He is trillions of levels higher than any being or thing,

in the entire creation, in which He has made everything.

The Love of God is not a feeling nor an emotion,

it is the Eternal God Himself.

It is not the happy feeling when demons are emotionally and sexually

exciting you, even in church meetings.

Just as Love, Godliness enters a person,

when Christ as the Holy Spirit resides in the person.

Then the actual character of the person is transformed.

Therefore we are told ‘Be ye transformed’.

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be

ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,

and perfect, will of God.

This transformation of the mind is also an act of the Eternal God.

You can see the explanation of Ezekiel 36:25 – 28,

in one of the many places where this is explained here:

The Human Robot

Christ first of all cleans us up, and gives us a new human spirit,

and a new human heart. It is only then that we are in a position,

to have any type of real solid relationship with the Eternal God,

and this is after He dwells in us as the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:25   Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,

and ye shall be clean:

from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Ezekiel 36:26  A new heart also will I give you,

and a new spirit (human spirit) will I put within you:

and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh,

and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 36:27  And I will put my spirit (holy spirit) within you,

and cause you to walk in my statutes,

and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

We can no more transform ourselves into Godly, Holy people,

anymore than the clay can transform itself,

into to a beautiful piece of pottery.

We Are Called To Be A Vessel Of Honour

Are you beginning to see as I have often explained,

that our spiritual condition is a gift, and not a result of

anything that we do.

This is what the Eternal God told us in 2003.

If you have the ability to do so,

I think that you should print this out,

and keep this information very close to you,

even in your heart.

I give you the strength,

I give you the words,

My Son lives in you.

You do nothing

You are receptacles for the life of My Son

My Son is the initiator of the work

the One who speaks through you.

The One who enables you.

MY SON, In everything give Him praise.

Once we are called, then our sole purpose in life

is to listen and obey.

It is the paying attention to what the Eternal God tells us,

and the actual carrying out His instructions,

which enables our transformation.

Very few chose this route,

although they have been called, they prefer to stubbornly choose

to do what they would want and like to do,

as they get a kick out of it,

and even get an emotional thrill, of high from their rebellion,

because this is precisely what it is.

They do things because they enjoy doing them.

It does not matter in the slightest, if the Eternal God clearly

tells us that certain activities are abominations.

I know people, who are constantly sick, and they bluntly

refuse to accept that what they are eating is killing them.

As I have explained in great detail, the laws of the universe

are for all people, without exception, and religion,

race, sex, and age make no difference at all.

Actually, I find it quite amazing, that people are not even

prepared to try and obey in order to see, if what they are being

told is true. They will try anything else at all including letting

surgery chop them up and then let themselves be cooked like meat.

Unfortuntately, the reality is their beautiful fictitious road,

is a road to nowhere, with endless stress and strife,

which can quite easily destroy an individual.

Love is a complete package, which is Christ, the Eternal God.

Christ has countless Eternal attributes, which He would like

us to not only have, but they have to become an intrinsic part of our

very being.

I think that it is reasonable to say that godliness is the foundation

on which all the other attributes have to be added.

Here are the reasons why I say this.

Note in this first verse we see godliness and love linked

in this one sentence.

They are all facets of the very same coin.

1 Timothy 6:11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things;

and follow after righteousness,

godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Here are some more qualities linked to godliness.

 2 Peter 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience;

and to patience godliness;

Now the apostle Peter links godliness to charity,

via brotherly kindness.

Don’t you find all this absolutely astounding?

When this was all made clear to me in the early hours of the morning 28/4/16

I was quite blown away.

2 Peter 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness;

and to brotherly kindness charity.

Here we see the foundation godliness, which is Christ,

and added on to this foundation are two human related

qualities brotherly kindness, and believe it or not charity.

God is Love, period.

As we would say today, the Eternal God does not do charity,

and neither does He do any of these related things.

1 Corinthians 13:4 . . .

charity envieth not;

charity vaunteth not itself,

is not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 13:5

Doth not behave itself unseemly,

seeketh not her own,

is not easily provoked,

thinketh no evil;

We can clearly see that to change the word Charity in 1 Corinthians 13,

which I quoted at the start is very wrong indeed.

All of the things mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13, and the others,

which I have mentioned, are gifts from the Eternal God.

The fact is that even if we thought, that we did have some of these qualities,

on careful examination, we will find that our motives are wrong,

almost 100% of the time.

Even worse you will find that most believers,

are totally smothered in stubborness and rebellion.

For such people we are told.

This is what the apostle Paul said.

1 Corinthians 10:12

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

This is what Christ said in His letters to the churches,

which is pertinent to our end times.

Revelation 3:17  Because thou sayest,

(1) I am rich, and

(2) increased with goods, and

(3) have need of nothing; and

(4) knowest not that thou art wretched, and

(5) miserable, and

(6) poor, and

(7) blind, and

(8) naked:

So whilst the majority of believers think that they are godly,

and contented from the mass of their physical things,

this is not the case at all.

The rich want more riches.

Those with several sexual partners, want more sexual partners.

This is nothing new.

If it existed, the wisest man that lived ‘Solomon’,

tried it. He spent longer building his abtolutely luxurious own house,

than he spent building the temple of the Eternal God.

He imported luxuries from across the globe.

700 wives were not enough, he also had 300 concubines.

Not only was he not contented, but his lifestyle turned him

against the Eternal God.

If King Solomon was not contented, can you see how any one on planet

earth could be contented, with a fraction of Solomon’s wealth,

possessions and wives.

Everything that he had and the crowning disaster, which turned him

from the Eternal God were his many wives and concubines, 1,000 women.

14 Kings 10:14  Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year

was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,

14 Kings 10:15  Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the

spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors

of the country.

14 Kings 10:16  And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold:

six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

14 Kings 10:17  And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold;

three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them

in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

14 Kings 10:18  Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory,

and overlaid it with the best gold.

14 Kings 10:19  The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was

round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat,

and two lions stood beside the stays.

14 Kings 10:20  And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other

upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

14 Kings 10:21  And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold,

and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were

of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted

of in the days of Solomon.

14 Kings 10:22  For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram:

once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold,

and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

14 Kings 10:23  So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches

and for wisdom.

14 Kings 10:24  And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom,

which God had put in his heart.

14 Kings 10:25  And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver,

and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices,

horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

14 Kings 10:26  And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen:

and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand

horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots,

and with the king at Jerusalem.

14 Kings 10:27  And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones,

and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale,

for abundance.

14 Kings 10:28  And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn:

the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

14 Kings 10:29  And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred

shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty:

and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria,

did they bring them out by their means.

As I have often said maybe our busyness is going to be our undoing.

As I say, I have seen many dogs chasing their tails,

I have not actually seen one catch it, but if it does will it bite its own tail ?

This is what most of us are doing today.

We have to separate ourselves from sinners and the wicked.

We do not have to make any excuses.

It is incredibly simple.

People are either a blessing or a curse to others.

There is no other choice.

1 Timothy 6:5  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds,

and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:

from such withdraw thyself.

2 Timothy 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:

from such turn away.

Today I was explaining something, and it is also related to these verses.

There are churches. who claim that leaven,

(and this is being written during the Feast of Unleavened Bread 2016)

can singnify two things.

One, is that it can signify sin.

Secondly, it can signify righteousness.

In the first case, where it is sin, we have to remove it from our lives.

In the second case it is stated that the righteousness of the righteous

would permeate the whole luke warm or even fallen church.

The above verses clearly shows the lie to this idea,

and that is all that this is.

If the righteousness of a righteous man can cause the unrighteous

to change, then the Eternal God would never have told us,

to turn away from, and even to disassociate ourselves,

from those who are godless. He would have told us to stay

and persevere to make a difference.

The message in the Old and New Testament is the same.

Be ye separate.

2 Corinthians 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them,

and be ye separate, saith the Lord,

and touch not the unclean thing;

and I will receive you,

Once again the word thing, which is in Italics,

means that it was an additions, which was meant to clarify the meaning

of the verse. I repeat often it has the opposite effect.

It it not just things that are unclean, but even more importantly people

are unclean, and we have to avoid the unclean people as well as things,

if we are going to be acceptable to the Eternal God.

All aspects of charity, can be applied to words, and deeds of men.

From the instant you start speaking of Love,

you are speaking about the Eternal God.

In the book of Enoch, the Eternal God is referred to as the Lord of the Spirits.

It does appear, that this is much more profound that it might at first appear.

First the word spirits is with a capital S, therefore it is not speaking about

normal spirits, such as angelic spirits, or human spirits.

I believe that the word Spirits is refering to all the Spirits,

which make up the Eternal God.

In other words they are an intrinsic part of His very being.

Love is just one of the attributes of the Eternal God,

here are some others.

These are the Spirits of the Eternal God, mainly called the Lord of Spirits

in the Book of Enoch.

3. And in him (Christ) dwells

the spirit of wisdom, And

the spirit which gives insight, And

the spirit of understanding and of might,

(the spirit of might)

10. On that day shall raise one voice, and bless and glorify and exalt in

the spirit of faith, and in

the spirit of wisdom, and in

the spirit of patience, and in

the spirit of mercy, and in

the spirit of judgement and of peace, and in

(the spirit of peace)

the spirit of goodness,

and shall all say with one voice: “Blessed is He, and may the name of

the Lord of Spirits be blessed for ever and ever.”

11. the spirit of power

62:2 And the Lord of Spirits seated him on the throne of His glory, And
the spirit of righteousness was poured out upon him,

Other spiritual characteristics of the LORD are found in the bible are:

the spirit of God the Creator.

the spirit of God the life Giver.

Job 33:4  The Spirit of God hath made me,

and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

The spirit of burning (for judgment)

Isaiah 11:2  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,

the spirit of wisdom and understanding,

the spirit of counsel and might,

the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Zechariah 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David,

and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,

the spirit of grace and of supplications:

and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,

and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son,

and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

John 14:17

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,

because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;

for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Romans 1:4  And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to

the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Romans 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,

if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not

the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear;

but ye have received

the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

1 Corinthians 4:21  What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love,

and in the spirit of meekness?

2 Corinthians 3:17  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is liberty.

The spirit of the Lord is the spirit of Liberty, not lawlessness.

2 Corinthians 4:13  We having

the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed,

and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Ephesians 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,

may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Listen and listen carefully.

Grace is not license to do our own thing as most do.

You cannot be in rebellion, and have the spirit of Grace,

regardless of what you might like to believe.

Hebrews 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye,

shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,

and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified,

an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto

the Spirit of grace?

1 Peter 4:14  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for

the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:

on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

Understanding the word of God requires the spirit of prophecy,

this is not just the matter of foretelling the future.

Revelation 19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me,

See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have

the testimony of Jesus: worship God:

for the testimony of Jesus

is the spirit of prophecy.

All the countless people who are exceedingly busy doing their own thing,

carefully consider this section dealing with the spirit of God.

Ask yourself, how do I measure up against what the Eternal God requires?

You might be very surprised indeed to find that the Eternal God has

very little indeed to do with your life.

This is a major warning.

Ignore what I am telling you at your own peril.

As I have stated many times as the end times rapidly advance,

the trials and difficulties are going to increase dramatically,

as the Eternal God tries very hard to get our attention.

1 Corinthians 10:12

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

I repeat.

Grace is not a license to sin, but it is an intrinsic quality of the Eternal God.

Regardless of what many say, as I have already clearly explained the laws of God

are immutable and cannot be changed in the slightest.

Regarding the Eternal God,and His laws,

man has neither access nor authority to change anything at all.

You have seen love explained,

and all the other spiritual characteristics of the Eternal God.

This is not pie in the sky.

When Christ comes into our lives as the Holy Spirit, it is not only Love,

but every one of the spiritual characteristics mentioned,

and I repeat that there might be possibly more,

that we do not know.

At conversion we just have an earnest,

which is a deposit of all of the above,

but they should be allowed to grow and develop,

as Christ directs.

All of these will be found in our new human heart.

2 Corinthians 1:22  Who hath also sealed us,

and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

2 Corinthians 5:5  Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God,

who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

The way to Eternal Life is all spiritual.

Christ said this very thing.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way,

I am the truth, and

I am the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

To focus on the physical is a great error.

Rather focus on Life.

It is a choice, which we all have to make.
