Why Communicate ?

The very first thing, which we need to carefully consider,

is that communication consists of two parts.

We have to listen, and we have to speak.

We should do one of these things at a time.

Pretty basic is it not?

Let me define listening.

Listening does not mean keeping quiet, and waiting for the

other person to shut up, so that you can pour forth,

what you wanted to say in the first place.

In my experience, sometimes the other person asks me,

to explain the very thing, that I had just explained

over many minutes, as soon as I had finished speaking.

They just had not listened.

They equated keeping quiet, with listening.

This is not only a problem with individuals.

It is also a national problem, for the leaders of most nations.

Our leaders just do not listen to, or consider what the leaders

of other nations are saying.

They foolishly believe, that they do not have to listen at all.

As they are exceptional, they can do exactly what they like,

and they can make up the rules as they go along.

This course of action will inevitably lead to tears,

and weeping and gnashing of teeth, without any doubt whatsoever.

In fact in the present condition of the world,

it can very easily lead to a world war!

I have worked with computers for over 40 years.

I have had to give advice to others, in order to resolve even simple problems.

The reality is that people just would not listen.

They often want to show me their intelligence.

The reality is that, I was minding my business,

and quite at peace, and enjoying what I was doing,

when they called. When I said how I would resolve their problems,

I was given a lecture, that they had tried that already, and it did not work.

I could waste an awful lot of time, trying to explain what I was going to do.

I would spend many hours trying to explain to customers,

why they should not attempt to do, whatever it was they wanted to do,

on their computers. The arrogance was amazing to behold.

So I installed software (Teamviewer to be precise), which enabled me to

take complete control of their computer, in any part of the world.

The resut was that I spent a fraction of the time,

which I used to waste.

I also realised, when I was in business,

that I was not being very wise, spending hours trying to stop people

making silly mistakes. Therefore I stopped doing that.

I would simply say once, what you would like to do, will not work,

but since you would like me to do it, I will do it anyway.

I would go away, and write the program, and turn up with it,

say a couple of weeks later.

At a board room meeting, with many people present,

I would start the program on the computer,

and ask the accountant, to please explain to us how it was going to work,

because I did not have any idea, how it would work.

I should add, that in arrogance, I had been told quite firmly,

that they would tell me precisely what they wanted,

and they were adamant,

that I was not to change anything at all.

This totally absurd conduct, enabled me to get contracts,

which kept me busy for years, as I replaced the work of computer

departments, by providing solutions working on my own,

which did work, and did what was needed, without the fuss,

and confusion of the computer department.

They were so accustomed to having disasters, which cost them money,

because of lack of communication that I would be invited to go and

visit one of their computer companies, and speak to them,

and return to the company who made the request to me,

and tell them in simple English what was going on.

Communication was zero.

I never did do that particular job although I would have been paid

very well. Instead, alone, I ended up writing a whole suite of programs,

for the company. They had brought in a graduate to write the specifications

for the programs, at great expense.

The end result was that I finished the assignment,

but the programs were never used, because the programs, which I had

written in the first place were much simpler and better, than the

programs which had been specified by the graduate.

The two lessons are first of all communicate,

and be content, with what you have.

I should also point out that the arrogance, with which I had to deal was

quite unbelievable. After these demonstration disasters, I would be asked

can it be fixed? As the whole concept was wrong, it could not be fixed.

Of course, I could rewrite the program, but they would have to pay me,

for my work on the nonsense specification, that they gave me,

and the rewritten program.

In two instances, I made quite a bit of money from companies,

where the management would not listen.

The lesson I learned, was that I could give advice,

but it was futile to try to make people listen, even for their own good.

I also learnt human beings only seem to understand pain,

and this can often be very costly.

Even today on my website, I do not argue with a single person.

Today I am much wiser, and I have explained in great detail,

that the problem is a heart problem, and not a mind problem.

I do not claim to be an expert in any field whatsoever.

In fact, I hated it, when company managers introduced me as a computer expert.

People need to humble themselves, and accept,

that it might just be possible, that another person, who has invested over 40 years

in the computer business, might just know a little bit about computers.

It is a saying of mine, that the Eternal God is not going to ask me,

how did Jack or Jill treat me?

but He is most assuredly going to ask me, how did you treat Jack or Jill?

The question, which I always ask myself,

is this, did I please the Eternal God or not?

Everything else is irrelevant.

If I please the Eternal God, ultimately all the people will be blessed,

whether they can see it or not at the beginning of the process.

For quite a long time, I have been encouraging everyone to communicate.

As I have said, I am also fully aware of how very busy everyone is.

It is my experience, that communication is critical on several levels.

It should not be a burden, and a chore, and I will explain precisely what I mean.

Many years ago, some felt that it is a pity that we do not live

near to one another, as it would make communication so much easier.

In fact this is not true at all.

I have people who live near to me, who do not communicate,

but at the very same time, I can communicate with people thousands of miles

away, with absolutely negligible effort.

I should add, that we have all been put into the strategic places,

for His assigned purposes, which will in time become clear to us.

In the meantime, we should not grumble and belly ache.

The Eternal God responded to this feeling, of many wanting of us, all to be neighbours,

by telling us, that He had provided the means, for us to communicate with each other.

In essence, this is what He told us.

He had given us home phones, mobile phones, computers, and letters,

so we had no excuse, therefore we should get on with communicating,

and stop complaining.

In essence, we did not, and even now know very little about

the exact plans for each of us, at this time.

I think, that the Eternal God is quite aware, of how very busy we are,

however, He told us to communicate.

He would not have told us to do so, if it was not important to do so.

Why would He tell us to do so?

I have said this many times.

Most people believe, that the purpose of their lives is to enjoy

their lives to the maximum.

This is not the case at all.

The primary, and whole purpose of our existence,

is to give pleasure to the Eternal God.

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:

for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The blessings, which we crave, comes by obedience ,

and so does joy, pleasure and success,

in absolutely all areas of our lives,

and in everything that we set our hands to do.

Deuteronomy chapter 28 verses 1 to 13 gives the incredible detail.

Read all of it for yourself and see.

The system is in place for each one of us to be blessed.

So this means, that all the fussing, worrying, and frustration,

is quite unnecessary. Does it not?

Deuteronomy 28:1 ¶ And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently

unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments

which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high

above all nations of the earth:

Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee,

and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Here are the direct benefits of communication.

How can you get counsel if you do not communicate?

The simple answer is you cannot.

Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: (perish) but in the multitude

of counsellors there is safety.

This applies to physical and spiritual warfare.

Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war:

and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Notice the apostles came together to share their thoughts on the situation.

Acts 15:6 ¶ And the apostles and elders came together for to consider

of this matter.

The Eternal God said that He considers communication a sacrifice,

which pleases Him.

Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not:

for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We know, that we are accountable for our every thought, word and deed,

I have written about this in detail.

I am often saying that we have mouths, and this means,

that we can say absolutely anything at all.

It does not have to be true.

However, the reality is that we will give account, of all of our thoughts,

words and deeds. We do not have a choice in this.

It is an immutable law.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;

and the books were opened: and another book was opened,

which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out

of those things (our thoughts, words, and deeds)

which were written in the books, according

to their works. (our thoughts, words, and deeds)

Here is a big surprise for everyone.

Above we are told, that the books were opened.

So there are several books,

and we are then told, that another book was opened.

It seems that one of these books is called ‘The Book Of Remembrance’.

What is this book of Remembrance?

We are told, that this is what happened to those who feared the LORD.

The LORD listened and heard what they said,

and uur words are being recorded in ‘The Book of Remembrance’.

I believe that this is saying, that our speaking often one to another

is being recorded, in this Book of Remembrance.

The Eternal God is not having this book written for His benefit.

It will be a teaching tool, just as the bible is a teaching tool for us today.

People will be able to study, what has been said and done,

by the people of God. Hopefully we will be positive examples.

If you are a person, who has been called by the Eternal God,

you will feature there.

You and I, will be exposed warts and all.

The impact that you have had on the Body of Christ,

and how you coped with everything, which was thrown at you,

will be there for all to see, and hopefully learn from it.

I have explained, that there are three books in the New Testament,

which are incomplete, the book of James, the third epistle of John,

and the Acts of the Apostles. None of these books finish with Amen,

which signifies their completion.

Therefore, it is most likely, that it is this book of Remembrance,

which will be used to update the book of Acts, for the period of time,

which has passed, and will pass, until Christ returns,

and even up to the end of the millenium.

Note that this book of Remembrance is not for the world at large.

It is specifically for those that.

(1) feared the LORD, and

(2) thought upon His name

(3) spake often one to another

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another:

and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was

written before him for them that feared the LORD,

and that thought upon his name.

The above people are not just ‘believers’.

They are in a very special category.

The LORD of hosts said

(1) They are mine

(2) They are My jewels

(3) They will be spared as His faithful son, from disaster.

Malachi 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts,

in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them,

as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

You might well have to change your priorities,

in order to do as we have been commanded.

You do not have to spend hours on the phone.

Short communications will suffice.

These discussions should include matters of substance, when possible,

and not just trivia.

We have to understand, that our whole lives, are a body matter.

Whatever we do, will affect the whole body, whether it is positive or negative.

We are affecting even the body members, that you do not know

on the other side of the world.

Just think of your own physical body.

If one part of your body is hurting,

your whole body will be under the weather.

Do you still think that communicating is not an important thing?

I suggest that you carefully think again?
