Breaking All Chains
Setting The Captives Free
Have You Bought Any Gold ?
Today
there is a great deal of advice that we should all buy gold,
in order
in order to survive the ever advancing financial collapse.
Therefore I ask the question have you bought any gold
as yet ?
In a recent document I asked ‘Are You Naked?’
Christ also advised us to buy gold.
Here are five related, must read
documents:
Repentance So You Are Born Again ? Are You Naked?
Do not make the mistake of applying these documents to others,
but rather to yourself.
Why would Christ tell us to buy gold, when He said,
that we cannot serve God, and Wealth at the same time.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one,
and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise
the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
This is the admonition to buy Gold.
Revelation 3:4 ¶ And unto
the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;
These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness,
the beginning of the creation of God;
Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou
art neither cold nor hot:
I would thou wert cold or hot.
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art
lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am
rich, and increased with goods,
and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched,
and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire,
that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be
clothed,
and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear;
and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke
and chasten:
be zealous therefore,
and repent.
We are clearly told that this gold has a price.
It is not free, we have to buy it.
Have we really done what we were told to do,
that is count the cost?
Luke 14:28 For which of you,
intending to build a tower,
sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost,
whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Part of this cost can be that we lose, even temporarily,
many of the things which we thought were dear to us.
Many of us may have mentally made the decision that
we have been prepared to lose all these things,
especially if for example we did not have particularly good
relationships with those mentioned below.
In reality, most hope that they will never actually be confronted
with these choices.
The reality is that sooner or later, you will be confronted
by serious choices, and you will be forced to make the decision,
which deep down you hoped that you would never have to make.
Matthew 19:29 And every
one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren,
or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands,
for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold,
and shall inherit everlasting life.
Matthew 19:30 But many that
are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
However, here is a cost that we might have overlooked.
Having told us to buy Gold directly from Him, and not from any
middle man.
He then tells us to repent.
This sentence of repentance is not an ‘add on’.
It is clearly made in the context of what precedes it.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke
and chasten:
be zealous therefore, and repent.
This is the particular part of the cost that might really choke
us.
Repenting to Christ, and the person wronged,
as is clearly explained in the above document, ‘Repentance’,
is the cost that we must be prepared to pay.
Why were we told to buy gold, and not silver or anything else?
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the
Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God,
him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Genuine Holy Spirit filled believers are the Temple
of the Eternal God.
This means that the spiritual condition of the members
of the Temple, have to be without spot or blemish.
It is not optional.
It is a critical requirement.
Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a
glorious church,
not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing;
but that it should be holy and without blemish.
We have to aspire to perfection, which is of course a gift from
the Eternal God.
We cannot make ourselves perfect,
regardless of what the various churches tell us.
Gold is a material which was used quite profusely
in the first temple which Solomon built.
This is the template for us.
30,000 labourers were sent to Lebanon in shifts of 10,000
each month to assist the best wood working craftsmen in the world,
to produce the cedar for the walls, and cypress for the floors.
There were 80,000 professional stone cutters,
70,000 ordinary labourers and 3,600 foremen.
That is approximately 170,000 people were working to produce
this first temple.
The main building was small, but one which required intense work.
It was only 90 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 45 feet high.

metres 9.1 metres 13.7 metres
This small building, which had been so carefully,
and meticulously built by hand, was prepared away from the site.
This meant that when it was been assembled there were no sounds
from any metal tools whatsoever.
We are also being prepared away from the site.
Of course this is only true if we are allowing ourselves to be
cut and chiselled as required.
You can see how much intense, and terrific effort, went into the
effort
of building Solomon’s temple.
How much effort are you contributing to making yourself ready,
as the Temple of the Eternal God.
Sadly most people fail to understand what is required of them.
They take what they consider the easy road.
The Stone Cutters and the Woodworkers, had no easy way out.
The work was so hard that the Woodworkers who were sent to
Lebanon,
worked one month and then had two months rest.
For many of us, on a 3 month roster,
we don’t work for 3 months,
then we take three months off, every 3 months.
That way we will never ever be in a condition to buy gold tried in
the fire.
As the verses of Revelation quoted above, deep down we feel
that we have never had it so good, and we have no need of
anything.
The massive stones combined with the cedar to make a work of art.
However, when all of this was finished, the entire interior was
overlaid with gold, pure gold, so that neither the cedar nor the
stone,
was visible on the inside.
The Eternal God had designed, what was going to be his
representative
place on the earth, His Temple.
Is it therefore any wonder that He told us to buy gold from Him,
as we are His temple?
As I have explained many times on true conversion,
a tremendous miracle takes place.
Ezekiel 36:25 ¶ Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,
and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness,
and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within you:
and I will take away the
stony heart out of your flesh,
and I will give you an
heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you,
and cause you to walk in
my statutes,
and ye shall keep my
judgments, and do them.
Our rebellious heart of stone is a basic building block of our
being.
The Eternal God says that He takes it out,
when we buy ‘Gold from Him’.
He does not want to see our rotten heart at all, none of it.
In the Temple, massive stones were the most substantial part of
the
building, none the less, the Eternal God did not want them to be
visible
from the inside, therefore He had the entire interior covered with
gold.
Neither does He want to see the Pride, Arrogance, Ego, and
Rebellion
of our stony heart, therefore He will remove it completely.
It is entirely up to us to be humble, and to make sure that these
negative qualities never surface again in our lives.
Just as the Temple was lined with pure gold,
we, His living Temple, have to be lined on the inside,
where He dwells, with pure gold, which has been tried in the fire.
Our survival does depend on Gold.
The Gold of the Eternal God, which has been tried by the Fire.
Have you bought any gold yet ?
What are you going to do about it
before it is too late?
