If  This Verse Is Not In Your Bible, Your Bible Is Corrupt.

Throw It Away.

You Have Been Deceived Into Serving Satan, the god of this world.

Sincerity Is Not The Issue. You can be sincere, and still be wrong.

                           SPEAKING IN TONGUES

Many Christians believe that if you cannot speak in, what they refer to as ‘tongues’,

you have not been ‘Baptized in the Holy Spirit’, and further they state that

you cannot be a genuine Christian. This has been my experience.

Once again Satan uses this lie to promote division amongst ‘Christians’.

If you watch many of the Tele-evangelists you will see them ‘speaking in tongues’

several times during their sermons. Often their congregations are then assured

that their minister is being inspired by the Holy Spirit.

‘Speaking in tongues’ is taken as a badge of spiritual power and righteousness.

It might well be a badge of spiritual power, but certainly not of righteousness.

If it is a badge of spiritual power, we have to ask who is the source of this spiritual power?

The question is what has the Holy Spirit to do with speaking in tongues as is taught

by the millions of Pentecostal and other Christians?

The answer is absolutely nothing.

But those who practice speaking in tongues can claim that it makes them feel good,

and they get an emotional high, therefore it must be right and good.

Since when does emotional feelings determine our spirituality?

The answer is it never does.

When the bible speaks about tongues, which it does from Genesis to Revelation,

you will see that it is referring simply to language.

It has no spiritual connotation whatsoever.

The word tongues can be replaced with the word languages, and all the problems

will immediately disappear.

In the beginning, right up to the time of the tower of Babel, all the people on the earth spoke a single language. At that time the Eternal God spoke to His created people in the language which He had created,

and they spoke to Him in the same language or tongue.

At that time there was no demand to speak in a special language in order to be heard, and the situation is the very same today.

We can speak to the Eternal God in our normal language.

He created language and knows them all.

Furthermore, He knows even what is in our hearts, and thoughts, therefore He can often bless us before we utter a single word. No tongues speaking needed.

Matthew 6:8  Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Right up to the flood at the time of Noah, the whole earth spoke a single language.

Genesis 11:1    And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

When Christ sets up His kingdom, we can be sure that in His kingdom a clean pure language will be spoken by everyone, as He originally intended.

We see in Genesis 11:6-8 that because the people decided to build a tower to reach into the heavens the Eternal God decided to scatter the people across the earth, and additionally He gave the various families different languages.

So the people were separated by location, and language.

Genesis 11:6  And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one,

and they have all one language;

and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them,

which they have imagined to do.

Genesis 11:7  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language,

that they may not understand one another’s speech.

Genesis 11:8  So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face

of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Genesis 11:9  Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD

did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD

scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

In Genesis 10, we see the main family and national divisions, which are linked

to Noah’s three sons, with each group having their own tongues

or languages.

Japheth’s descendants:

Genesis 10:5  By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands;

every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

Genesis 10:6  And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

Ham’s descendants:

Genesis 10:20  These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues,

in their countries, and in their nations.

Shem’s descendants:

Genesis 10:31  These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues,

in their lands, after their nations.

In Revelation we see that this division of people by location and language will still exist, right through these last days.

Revelation 14:6  And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven,

having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth,

and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

This angel speaking in Revelation 14, to all the different nations, each with their own language is identical to what happened on the day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other

tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:5   And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men,

out of every nation under heaven.

Acts 2:6  Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

This was indeed a wonderful miracle.

Like the angel speaking in Revelation 14, the miracle was that the people heard,

and were able to understand what was being said to them.

This was not the utterance of gibberish under the guise of ‘tongues’.

But a clear and precise warning.

Daniel an important and loyal servant of the Most High God, was of the tribe of Judah. When he and his three friends were selected to serve Nebuchadnezzar they had to learn the language of the Chaldeans.

Daniel 1:4  Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

The ability and aptitude of speaking, hearing, writing, and understanding languages

are all gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are all related but different skills.

1 Corinthians 12:28  And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:10   To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy;

to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues:

We should notice that the word ‘tongues’ is in the plural.

The question we can ask is what would be the purpose for having a multitude

of spiritual languages?

All gifts from the Eternal God have a purpose.

The apostle Paul was a very educated man, who had studied under Gamaliel.

Acts 5:34  Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel,

a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people,

and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

Acts 22:3  I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia,

yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.

Paul made three missionary journeys throughout Asia, and then he finally went to Rome. Without the ability to speak to, and understand the people in all the countries, through which he passed, his trips would be unfruitful and unprofitable.

This was not a problem for Paul as he said that he spoke many languages.

Paul was not boasting that he knew a whole battery of spiritual languages.

He was saying that he could speak many languages, so that his audience could understand. It was absolutely necessary for him to carry out his ministry.

1 Corinthians 14:18  I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

He wished that others could be like him.

The obvious reason was that they would be able to minister to more people.

1 Corinthians 14:5…..  I would that ye all spake with tongues,

The Middle East was obviously a very cosmopolitan area.

Therefore the admonition to control the speaking in churches was important.

It would be pointless to have people speaking in meetings if no one could understand anything they said. Paul said that the number of speaking in a foreign language should be limited, and should always be interpreted.

1 Corinthians 14:27  If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two,

or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

1 Corinthians 14:28  But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

In my experience I have never seen anyone interpret what some one has spoken

in tongues. I am not saying that it does not happen.

I am certain that it has happened that when people speak a genuine language,

which the members in a congregation might not know, that someone gets up and translates it.

When I hear pastors in full flight mumble something in tongues, how do the people know what he is saying. He could really be saying that woman in the front row boy she is beautiful, she is doing my head in. How can I dare to say that, am I being cruel? Not really, because I am yet to hear what these pastors speak in tongues translated. That is not as outrageous as it sounds because the bible says that many are immoral.

Look up Pastors and Prophets in your bible and surprise yourself.

The Eternal God has left no stone unturned in trying to get His people to listen to Him. He said that He was going to use people who spoke other languages to try to get through to His people, but He knew that it would not work!

1 Corinthians 14:21  In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

Paul always wanted things to be done decently and in order.

This is mentioned in the very same chapter which speaks about tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:40  Let all things be done decently and in order.

Paul also pointed out the pointlessness and confusion, which would result

if several  were speaking in a different languages at the same time.

It would get so bad that onlookers could think that they were in a lunatic asylum.

In fact if you go to a meeting, and you hear people babbling different things

at the same time, while a minister is trying to give a message, the result is confusion. You can easily check that out at some of your local Pentecostal, and similar churches.

1 Corinthians 14:23  If therefore the whole church be come together into one place,

and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

We have shown that speaking in tongues is simply a matter of speaking

in other languages than that of your own country.

The teaching that muttering some gibberish as ‘tongues’, somehow shows

the presence and activity of the Holy Spirit is not supported by scripture.

The presence of the Holy Spirit has very precise characteristics.

‘Tongues’, speaking gibberish and ‘feeling good’, is not mentioned.

Galatians 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is

love,

joy,

peace,

longsuffering,

gentleness,

goodness,

faith,

Galatians 5:23  Meekness,

temperance:

against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Galatians 5:25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Can we say that it is a small and irrelevant issue, and that we do not need to worry about it?

No we cannot.

It is a very important issue.

Those who practice speaking in tongues see it as very important.

So what is actually taking place?

These people are actually opening themselves up to evil spirit activity.

Sometime ago I was visited by a lady who had been in the ‘Jesus Army’, which is based in Northampton. Tongues speaking is a normal practice in this organization.

She was speaking to me in my kitchen while I was cooking.

Suddenly what was just a normal conversation changed, and without reason she started to berate me. She told me that I was doing all sorts of things, but the fact was that as I do not speak in tongues, that meant that I did not have the Holy Spirit.

I was so surprised that I burnt my new stainless steel pan.

As suddenly as it started it stopped, and she started crying.

She said she did not know what came over her, and all I had done was help her,

and encourage her.

The key is that she did not know what had happened to her.

Something had come over her.

None of the fruit of the spirit mentioned above were in evidence in this person

who claimed they had the Holy Spirit, and certainly was not in control

of what had happened to her.

I have never spoken in tongues and it has never been a desire for me to do so.

As I have mentioned previously.

It is most unwise to say amen to anyone who is praying for you in ‘tongues’.

The reason is that you have no idea what they are saying, and instead

of blessing you, they could easily be cursing you.

You certainly do not want to say ‘Amen’, which means so let it be.

Speaking in tongues is a practice of witchcraft.

In Rebecca Brown’s ‘He came to set the captives free’,

Elaine, who was a witch explains it clearly.

She said that witches, who appear to be wonderful ‘Christians’, go to meetings,

and then promptly curse the congregations and the minister in ‘tongues’.

These curses are not a small matter, as curses work.

The effect is that you can go to what is a supposed Christian meeting, and come

out more cursed than when you arrived.

Satan uses our emotions a great deal to influence us.

Many say that if it feels good do it, as long as it is not hurting anyone else.

This is very foolish reasoning, even Satanic.

Obeying the Holy Spirit most times has no emotional feelings connected in my experience.

There is no great show, no great emotional drama.

The point is that people falling on the ground and going through various gyrations does not mean that the Holy Spirit is involved at all.

Often it is the very opposite.

The conclusion of the matter is that Speaking in Tongues is not of the Eternal God.

Speaking in Tongues is not a sign of righteousness and spirituality.

We can add that neither are the often related activities such as falling on the ground, twitching, and making various animal sounds of the LORD.

Do you think that the Majestic Eternal Creator God, would lower Himself to act

as one of the creatures which He made, a dog, that He declared to be unclean?

Think about it.

Does it make sense?

The gifts of the  Spirit are not things that others, or that we ourselves pray down or work up. The gifts from the Eternal God require absolutely no activity on our part,

except that we obey what we are commanded. This is the exact opposite of what is practiced under the guise of baptism of the Spirit.

I believe that if we are involved in any activity which involves evil spirits,

whether we know it or not, it  will affect our health.

I am now constantly hearing of people who are ill in many ways, and the doctors cannot find any cause for their illness. So much so that I now wait for people to tell me the whole story and when they are finished, I sometimes interject and say, and now you are going to tell me that the doctors cannot find any cause for your sickness, right?

They then say yes.

It is my belief that it is most likely that this is evil spirit activity,

and that is the reason that no physical cause can be found.

Of course generational curses and our own sins can also be involved.

I am certainly not saying that ‘Speaking in Tongues’ is the only cause, because I believe that there are many causes, but I believe that we should carefully consider if some of our activities are causing us physical distress, and we should seek the Eternal God for guidance on the matter.

It is up to the individual to act upon what they are shown or told.

We cannot treat being filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking tongues

as a spiritual fix, which we receive by attending some meeting or other,

just like a drug addict must have his fix.

It is not a matter that we or others are praying something into us,

to give us power, and to make us feel good.

Being spirit led is a way of life, and not a feeling of elation for a few minutes.

The way of the Eternal is not a life of quick fixes, but of Eternal Peace, and Joy.

The Peace and Joy which passes all understanding flows from us from the indwelling Christ.

These gifts not only fill us, but also our environment.

Praise the LORD for delivering us from the cruel deception of ‘Speaking in Tongues’.

What are you going to do about it before it is too late?

See The Video:  Obedience Is The Only Way Of Escape

Be Humble    Repent   Listen To The Eternal God   Obey Him

This is very easy to say, but I assure you that it is physically impossible,

without the empowerment of the Eternal God.

Just going up to some altar call, running to some church, or isolating

yourself in the hope that somehow it will all go away, will not do it.
