                   Lebanon escalates Christian condemnation      

 

        Leviticus 26:17 

     And I will set my face against you,          and ye shall be slain before your enemies:

     they that hate you shall reign over you;  and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

     Ezekiel 20:26 ……

     that I might make them desolate, to the end

     that they might know that I am the LORD.

 

 

         Sometime ago we had some Rhema, which said that Christians were responsible

            for the state of the world today. It went further, and said that we were

            murderers because we are responsible for the delaying of Christ’s return.

            The reason was that we had not made ourselves ready,

            as we were commanded to do.

            Revelation 19.

            We were quite comfortable in our complacency, while people were suffering

            and dying, because of the delay, and we did not really care.

 

            Some of my friends stopped speaking to me as they said that

            I had called them murderers.

           

            I have to tell you that the situation has worsened considerably since that time.

            We have been moved from being happy with our physical condition and possessions,

            to one where now millions  of ‘Christians’ are not only actively supporting the war

            in Lebanon, but also pushing for the war to escalate to Syria and Iran,

            under the delusion that this will somehow speed up Christ’s return, when the truth

            is that if the believers had made themselves ready,

            Christ would have already returned.

 

            We have moved from laziness, and passive acceptance of whatever is taking place

            in the world, to being active war-mongers.

            This is a dramatic shift in the position of Christians.

 

            If ‘Christians’ were judged as being responsible before they got involved in active

            war-mongering, isn’t our position a thousand times worse, and will we not have

            to bear the consequences for being accomplices for vigorously pushing others to kill,

            when we are clearly told that we sin even if we get angry Matthew 5.

            In the New Testament, the magnification of the law means that we sin

            by accepting  the wrong thought, which far precedes the deed.

           Therefore the command ‘Thou shalt not kill’, is clearly broken in our minds.

Indeed the popular world famous Televangelists are truly leading the people astray,           

as they actively push for more wars.

            A genuine believer will be a man of Peace.

            He will exude Peace, he will speak Peace, his environment will be full of Peace,

            because the Prince of Peace dwells in him.

            It is clear that the Prince of Peace does not dwell in war-mongers regardless

            of their grandiose titles.

            The following scripture becomes clearer every day.

 

    Ezekiel 21:3  And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold,

I am against thee,

    and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath,

    and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.

 

    We can ask why would the righteous be destroyed?

    One answer could be that some might consider themselves righteous,

           and others looking at them might also conclude that they are righteous,

    but in reality they are sadly lacking, like the foolish virgins in Matthew 25.

 

    The position of the people in Lebanon and Israel is indeed dire.

    Unfortunately, it might turn out that our position is considerably worse

    than theirs,

    as we know better, but we have deceived ourselves, and failed to listen to,

    and to obey the Eternal God. We have become even more hypocritical Christians.

    The Eternal God said do not kill.

    We said don’t worry, we will encourage others to kill, so that your will can be done.

    Let our rebellion be acceptable in your sight, you know we mean well.

 

    May the LORD have mercy on us.
