Galatians 2:

 

Galatians 2:1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas,

and took Titus with me also.

Galatians 2:2  And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which

I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation,

lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

Galatians 2:3  But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:

 

Note Paul is now discussing the subject of circumcision as pointing to “our liberty,

which we have in Christ Jesus”. This is a new aspect of law keeping, in relation to “circumcision”,

which I show him to reveal to his brethren.

 

Galatians 2:4  And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily

to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

 

By suggesting circumcision, these “spies”, by that suggestion, were attempting to interfere

with this now established liberty in My Son. They were referring directly

to new Gentile converts. This was interfering with the truth of the Gospel set in My Son.

 

Galatians 2:5  To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour;

that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

Galatians 2:6  But of these who seemed to be somewhat,

(whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:)

for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

Galatians 2:7  But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision

was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

Galatians 2:8  (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision,

the same was mighty in me, Paul (toward the Gentiles:)

 

Through Paul, I explain that there is one Gospel in My Son, but this one Gospel

is to be applied in a different manner, if it becomes a problem to the Jews,

they can continue to circumcise the flesh provided they have accepted My Son.

However the Gentiles simply need to accept my Son without circumcision.

 

This is done so that  “non-circumcision” must not be a stumbling block

to the Jews or “Circumcision” to the Gentiles. For either group, whether

Jews or Gentile, My Son, is the “Circumcision of the heart” and the main issue,

there is no need for either group to be circumcised physically.

 

However, so that physical or spiritual circumcision does not present a stumbling block

for either group, I allow Jews to continue to be circumcised if they wan to do so,,

although this is not necessary,y and Gentiles do not need to be circumcised.

My People can do what they like on this issue, provided, they understand it is only

by My Son that Salvation comes. In this way “circumcision does not become a divisive

 issue and acceptance of My Son is the focus.

 

However, in Galatians 5:5 Paul points out, that those sticking to the old circumcision

are “debtors to do the whole law”. Because they now put themselves under the whole law,

they place themselves under the old burden of keeping the whole law.

What is that burden? If one law is broken, they are cursed, for they have broken

the whole law. However, IN Christ, when they repent of their sin

they are cleansed, and forgiven.

 

To stand alone IN Christ is what fulfils the whole law. This is what Paul is advising here,

because disputes arose in the church, with the new Jewish coverts, about this matter.

 

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath

made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

 

Galatians 5:2  Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised,

Christ shall profit you nothing.

 

Galatians 5:3  For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that

he is a debtor to do the whole law.

 

Galatians 5:6  For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing,

nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

 

Galatians 5:11  And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet

suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

 

Galatians 6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing,

nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

 

So you might ask am I saying that circumcision is done away with?

Answer No.

So what am I saying it is?

It is a circumcision of the heart and not of the flesh.

This is on a far higher plane, just like to commit adultery,

no longer consists of an act but a thought in the mind.

 

Ephesians 2:15  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments

contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

 

But I also say:

 

Matthew 5:18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle

 shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

 

So this is how I kept My Word both to Jew and Gentile. Note I never compromised with

pagans as My church does by accepting their customs.

 

Exodus 12:14  And this day( Passover) shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep

it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast

by an ordinance for ever.

 

This command was given by Me to the Israelites under Moses, not just to Judah (Jews).

Those, the world over, who accept My Son through obedience to the Holy Spirit are now

Israel, whether Jew or Gentile. My Holy Spirit never breaks any of My laws,

which I have established eternally, nor condones those who do.

If this happened I would be a liar.

 

Romans 2:25  For circumcision verily

 profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law,

thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

Romans 2:26  Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law,

shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

 

Galatians 2:9  And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived

the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship;

that we should go unto the heathen(Gentiles), and they unto the circumcision (Jews).

Galatians 2:10  Only they would that we should remember the poor;

the same which I also was forward to do.

 

This is an important aspect of the My Gospel – remembering the poor,

for My Son spoke much about he poor in Matthew 26. one of the first talks

He gave setting out His ministry.

 

Galatians 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face,

because he was to be blamed.

Galatians 2:12  For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles:

but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself,

fearing them which were of the circumcision.

Galatians 2:13  And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas

also was carried away with their dissimulation.

Galatians 2:14  But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth

of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner

of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

Galatians 2:15  We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

Galatians 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith

of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified

by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law

shall no flesh be justified.

 

Although, My Law, except the parts which have been fulfilled by My Son,

is to be kept forever, it cannot save a single person.

Only faith and obedience to Jesus Christ can achieve this Salvation.

That is why the Jews while keeping My Laws, MUST accept My Son.

 

Galatians 2:17  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found

sinners (ie breaking the law, for “sin is the transgression of the law” 1 John 3:4)  

is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Galatians 2:18  For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Galatians 2:19  For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Galatians 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I,

but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh

I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law,

then Christ is dead in vain.

 

If My Law is broken, then sin is in the camp (1John 3:4), and My Son’s redeeming life

is halted till repentance is requested and granted. My Son’s Sacrifice does not cover wilful

sin if continued, however much the depth of pleading.

 

Heartfelt Repentance and reliance totally on My Son, must come first.

 

There are many who bear the fruits of sin but refuse to repent and CHANGE,

 and then wonder why they are still suffering. I want to give them good health,

but I can have nothing to do with unrepented sin.

 

There are some, however, who through mercy I heal to show MY Power.

 

John 9:2  And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents,

that he was born blind?

John 9:3  Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents:

but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

              

.                           The only way out of this dilemma is Jesus Christ.

                                                                    He is the only way of escape.

                               We have to be under His Care and Protection.          

                                                    Salvation by any other name or means,

                                                                    Simply does not exist.

                                                          Complete Obedience is required
