The 2nd commandment (no graven images)
do you think this applies to toys shaped as animals etc?
Or strictly statues etc which are worshipped?

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the
water under the earth:
Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve
them:
for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers
upon the children unto the third and
fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love
me,
and keep my commandments.
The three verses together make up a
single sentence.
Therefore the entire context has to be
considered.
According to the context we should make
nothing whatsoever, to worship it.
If we do this we commit idolatry, and we
sin grievously.
When we sin it can affect down to the
third and fourth generation.
When we are blessed, this can affect
thousands of generations.
It should be noted that in the temple
there were images of two cherubs,
on the ark, but they were only seen by
the High Priest,
once a year on the day of Atonement.
1 Kings 6:27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house:
and they stretched forth the wings of
the cherubims,
so that the wing of the one touched the
one wall,
and the wing of the other cherub touched
the other wall;
and their wings touched one another in
the midst of the house.
Additionally we see other carvings
adorning the inside and the outside
of the temple.
1 Kings 6:28 And he
overlaid the cherubims with gold.
1 Kings 6:29 And he carved
all the walls of the house round about
with carved figures of cherubims and
palm trees and open flowers,
within and without.
1 Kings 6:30 And the
floor of the house he overlaid with gold,
within and without.
1 Kings 6:31 And for the
entering of the oracle he made doors
of olive tree: the lintel and side posts
were a fifth part of the wall.
1 Kings 6:32 The two doors
also were of olive tree; and he carved
upon them carvings of cherubims and palm
trees and open flowers,
and overlaid them with gold, and spread
gold upon the cherubims,
and upon the palm trees.
Not even the temple was to be worshipped,
much less the ornate figures
and carvings.
We must only worship the Eternal God.
Today in a materialistic society, we
worship, money, and things like cars.
They in fact become our idols.
The Roman Catholic Church claims that
they do not worship the images
in their churches and in their homes,
but they do.
They bow down to them.
We should not have images of fallen
angels which purport to be Christ,
Mary etc in our homes.
It is quite acceptable to have
tasteful images of people, animals or things,
however, the moment that any of these
things get elevated
to positions of worship, that is sin.

Be Humble Repent Listen To The Eternal God Obey Him.
This is very easy to say, but
I assure you that it is physically impossible,
without the empowerment of the
Eternal God.
Attending some Church,
going up to an altar call, or isolating yourself,
in the hope that
somehow it will all be alright, will not do it.
What are you going to do about
it before it is too late?
