We have been clearly told that it is because we are not ready that

the Eternal’s plan of intervention is held up.

It was made clear to me why this is happening, in spite of our good intentions.

In fact we are quite unable to cope, as we become busier and busier,

and also more and more frustrated.

For many the problem is as follows.

We have our thoughts our hopes, our plans and our desires.

All this is quite normal.

Then we try to have a relationship with the Eternal God as He calls and works with us.

In love He tells what He requires of us, and what He wants us to do.

But we already have a very busy schedule see: Thief Of Time

I am not suggesting for a moment that our schedule is a valid or sensible one.

Often it is not.

Where do hours spent watching TV soaps, sport etc., fit into the Eternal’s plan for us?

We then superimpose what the Eternal requires of us on to our self imposed

packed schedule.

Experience shows that it simply does not work.

It cannot be done.

It creates problems even catastrophic ones for us.

As a simple example.

It is Autumn, and it is a pleasant day and the weeds are overtaking the flower beds

as they do.

They annoy you greatly, and you have determined to pull them all out, today.

The Eternal tells you to sweep up the leaves.

You say ok, I will sweep up the leaves as soon as I have pulled out all of the weeds.

It seems reasonable enough.

Off you go diligently weeding to your heart’s content.

A couple of hours later the sky suddenly darkens and a torrential downpour follows.

Now the work of removing the leaves has suddenly become very difficult indeed.

The wind has blown the leaves all over the lawn and into the flower beds.

What would have been a simple easy job now takes many times longer.

You are angry and frustrated, but you have only yourself to blame no one else.

If you had swept up the leaves, they would not be in the flower beds,

where you have to take them out almost one at a time,

and on the path where they adhere as if stuck by glue.

You would not have had to rake and rake and sweep up the wet leaves which

if you have a big area you will know is not a great deal of fun,

and is a great time waster.

Additionally the rock hard ground which had made taking the weeds

out so much hard work had been greatly softened by the rain, making their extraction

much easier, even a doddle.

You can say that “well I did not know it was going to rain”.

But the one who told you to sweep up the leaves knew that.

The problem was that it did not fit into your plans, your will.

This principle applies in many areas.

It is up to us to see how it applies in our own situation.

Our foundation is no good it is built on sand.

Our thoughts and ways seem right and good but they are unacceptable filthy rags.

We all tend to hear from the Eternal, but we really do not want to have our own agenda

disturbed or altered in any way.

It is one thing to hear and an entirely different thing to obey.

From the beginning man heard.

Adam and Eve heard, they simply did not obey.

We in fact live a lie and most times we are quite happy with that.

We therefore pretend that we have not heard or that what we are involved

in is more important and we then decide to fit in what we are told to do

when we can manage to do so.

We are told what to do, but it does not lock into our perceived jigsaw of life puzzle.

To disobey what we are told is to guarantee failure and to be frustrated utterly in the process.

The Key is to humble yourself and obey the first time you are told.

You may be told directly or the Eternal might use someone to tell you.

It does not matter how this is done.

Obey.

Many of the problems which we encounter and blame on Satan might well vanish away

as our rebelliousness is the cause.

Let what the Eternal says in His Word, and to you directly be the foundation on which

everything else is built.

Do not try to superimpose His will over your plans and personal agenda.

It will never work.

We have been repeatedly told that there is no more time.

Let us hasten to obey and realise that it is the good which we do that can be our greatest

enemy. The works we should do are clearly defined.

Remember it is us who are blamed for the condition in the world.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,

which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are the ones who oppose ourselves.

2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Like Saul we are called to be kings, let us not throw away our calling.

1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity

and idolatry….

Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD,

he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Be Humble Repent Listen To The Eternal God Obey Him.

This is very easy to say, but I assure you that it is physically impossible without

the empowerment of the Eternal God.

Just going up to some altar call, running to some church, or isolating yourself

in the hope that somehow it will all go away, will not do it.
