The
Holy Bible Is The Immutable Living Word Of
The Eternal God.
What Is Rhema? What Must I Do Now ?
Over 1 billion people today are
trapped by the false doctrine of confessing sins to a priest.
According to Strongs, to confess
means,
to profess,
to openly acknowledge and
joyfully.
Of course verses from the bible
are used to support this false doctrine.
Let us look at the facts.
Catholic Canon law 870 and 888 state that a priest has power to forgive sins,
and confession to a priest at least once a year is necessary unto salvation.
This is an outright lie.
If you do not confess to a priest
at least once a year you are literally doomed they say.
All confession of sin is to the
Eternal God alone.
Christ told us precisely what to
do.
Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say,
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, as in heaven,
so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive
us our sins;
for we also forgive every one
that is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
I wonder which of these words
these educated priests do not understand.
Father forgive us our sins.
The problem with sin is that
when you sin you have to generate more sins
to cover those you already have.
They might say but we are called
father, so how can you say what you are saying?
We can say it simply because we
should not be calling any man ‘father’ as office,
a power of authority. It is
right for children to call their male parent Father or Dad.
Matthew 23:9 And call
no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father,
which is in heaven.
We could terminate this document
right here, but as this is central to the controlling
and manipulating Catholic church
we will do a thorough examination of the subject.
Nowhere in the Bible will you
find that we are told to confess anything at all to a priest.
"What exactly is confession?
" the Catholic catechism replies, "Con-fession is telling our sins to an authorised priest
(of the Roman Church) for the purpose of obtaining "forgiveness".
To the question: "What sins are we bound to confess?"
the Catechism of the Church of Rome answers:
"All our mortal sins", and requires its adherents
to tell the number of times they have committed them.
In addition, all venial (less serious sins) are to be
confessed and
"it is well to mention some mortal (serious) sin in our past life, even though already confessed".
Failure to confess to a priest
carries (1) the penalty of hell for mortal sin; and (2) the penalty of purgatory for venial sin.
Can you believe that we are being told to confess sins again that we have apparently already
repented off and received absolution?
What was the point of the original confession if we would have to do it all over again?
Do they not realise the awesome power of the blood of Christ.
It is not like an inadequate soap powder.
When we are forgiven by Christ our sins are forgotten.
When you tell him your sin again, He will want to know what you are speaking about,
as it no longer exists.
Jeremiah 33:8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity,
whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities,
whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
The Eternal did not say that He was going to leave a little bit there until
the next time. He is perfect. His forgiveness is perfect.
Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am
he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine
own sake,
and will not remember thy sins.
That is the
absolute Truth, whatever else is taught about confessing the same sin again.
Always
remember that it is Satan who is a liar. He is promoting the idea that your
sins
are not
really completely forgiven.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the
devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in
the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a
lie, he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Christ’s
sacrifice was perfect as shown by the Passover Lamb.
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ,
as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation (Atonement) for our
sins: and not for ours only,
but also for the sins of the whole world.
Of course always hanging over your head is the fact that the priest might not give you absolution,
that is forgiveness if you did not comply fully by answering all his questions.
If you died before making a good confession, then you would be lost forever.
Fear of Eternal damnation is a very powerful tool to enforce cooperation.
You would not even have the opportunity to go to purgatory,
(Another false doctrine, no such
place exists),
where you could be prayed for, for an indeterminate period of time to escape
the gentler toasting rather than the roasting that you would receive in hell!!
Be sure not to ask when does the person you are paying to have prayed out of purgatory
actually leave that dreaded place?
What is certain you will not get an answer.
Even when the Pope dies, he evidently goes to purgatory,
for masses will be said for him all over the world and for years to come.
Why are Roman Catholics never told there is no need to pray for or offer masses
for some departed one because they had enough good works to admit them immediately into Heaven?
Surely someone must fit into this category !!
Consider what chance do you have, if this supposedly number one person for God, the pope
on planet earth does not make it into heaven, but ends up in purgatory?
(Another false doctrine, the bible
teaches we go to hades, which is divided
into two parts, one part a place of
comfort and the other a place of torment, not heaven.)
See the important documents: Destination and The Spirit In Man for further information.
The Catholic church divides sin into two categories,
mortal sin, these are major sins such as murder.
venial sin, these are minor sins as stealing a sweet.
The problem is that sin is sin
Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of
the father,
so also the soul of the son is mine: the
soul that sinneth, it shall die.
If we do not repent we will go to the part of hades,
the place of torment.
“So private confession was introduced
a full seven centuries after Christ and His apostles.
Ironically the Roman Church curses us if we dare assert the plain historical fact
that secret confession to a priest was not observed from the beginning:
“If anyone denies that the sacramental confession was instituted, and is necessary for salvation,
by divine Law; or says that the manner of confessing secretly to a priest alone,
which the Catholic Church has always observed from the beginning and still observes,
is at variance with the institution and command of Christ and is a human invention, anathema sit”
(Council of Trent, Session 14, Canon 6).
Dr Joe Mizzi. Just for Catholics
It is worth asking the
question what happened to all the millions of Catholics, never mind
the non-Catholics
before the 7th century who were not able to avail themselves of
auricular confession
because it did not
exist?
Auricular confession
simply means speaking that is heard by the ears.
The primary verse for this evil
practice is:
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to
another, and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of
a righteous man availeth much.
A major rule in bible study is
to take the verse being studied, in context.
Let us therefore put this verse
into its context.
James 5:14 Is any sick
among you? let him call for the elders of the
church;
and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall
raise him up;
and if he have committed sins,
they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed. The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
This word faults is elsewhere
translated sins.
We can see from the context that
this verse is dealing strictly with what and how
we should act when we are sick.
It is NOT dealing with every
sin that a person commits.
Sickness can be a direct result
of sin.
For example sexual immorality
can result in sexually related diseases.
It is in the case of sickness
that we are told to call for the elders of the church.
Elders are simply those who are
more mature, it is not a man ordained office,
to control others and rule over
with a rod of iron.
It is in this environment that
the health condition of the person is mentioned.
The purpose of this would be
simply to ascertain what should be prayed about for
the Eternal to remove the
sickness and restore healing.
For example, the person might
have had a clear word from the Eternal to do something,
and in rebellion they have
refused to carry out the instruction.
Another person might be able to
see this relationship immediately,
while the one who is sick does
not see it at all.
It is all a matter of helping
the person in love.
It is not a matter of doling out
repentance by whim and feeling.
The concept of telling someone
that they are now forgiven after they have
divulged every sordid detail of
some sin, and all they have to do now is some act
of penance, such as saying 5
Hail Mary’s and an Our Father, and/or putting something
in the poor box, is an
abomination.
The whole concept of penance is
not of God, and means that Christ’s sacrifice was
insufficient to cover our sins.
Therefore we have to make a contribution to this end.
This is utter nonsense.
There is no act of penance,
absolutely no works of any type whatsoever which we can do
as penance for our sins.
Do you realise that apparently
not even pagans have the practice of confession.
It is a Roman Catholic
invention.
That must surely tell us
something.
Where is Satan’s seat?
It is true that there are offices,
such as apostles, prophets, deacons, etc.,
but these are positions of
service.
The very concept of a clergy and
laity is totally unbiblical and even condemned in the bible.
In the letters to the churches
in Revelation, we see the deeds of the Nicolaitans
in the church of Ephesus
condemned.
Revelation 2:6 But
this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I
also hate.
We then see that deeds had become established as doctrine in the church
at Pergamos
Revelation 2:15 So hast
thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I
hate.
In both cases the Eternal said that He hated both the deeds and doctrines of the Nicolaitans.
What was it
that the Eternal hated?
(Some teach
that these were the followers of Nicolas, this is not true.)
Schofield explains Nicolaitans is as follows:
From nikao, "to
conquer," and laos, "the
people," or "laity."
There is no ancient authority for a sect
of the Nicolaitanes.
If the word is symbolic it refers to the earliest form
of the notion of a priestly order,
or
"clergy," which later divided an equal brotherhood
(Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your
Master, even Christ;
and all ye are brethren.
9 And
call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in
heaven.)
into "priests" and "laity."
What in Ephesus was "deeds" #Revelation
2:6,
had become in Pergamos a "doctrine #Revelation
2:15.
It is crystal clear that the very concept of an elite leadership over a
lower rank of membership,
is hated by the Eternal. We are called to be brothers, whether we are
male and/or female.
Why is this such a big deal?
It is a very big issue because the Priests use the Confession to totally
control and
manipulate those in their
charge.
Priests are taught how to get to
the very bottom of any sin which is confessed.
Every minute detail is coaxed
out of the sinner.
Broad general statements are not
acceptable.
With whom the sin was committed,
when was it committed,
how many times,
where was it committed and any
other prying questions that might be required are asked.
A Compulsory, and absolutely
riveting must read which give the details,
can be found here: The
Priest The Woman The Confessional.htm
BY Rev. Charles Chiniquy, a former Roman Catholic priest.
You will also find it very
instructive to read his other book:
Fifty-Years-
In-The-Church- Of Rome
I cannot encourage you enough to download these books from the above links and study them.
Having read these two books, you
will see why we have to pray for our brothers
and sisters entrapped in the
Satanic system of Babylon, the Mother of Harlots.
We have to expose the tyranny in
which they are imprisoned, and which is not of Christ.
Confession corrupts the speaker,
and the hearer at the same time.
The interrogation, because that
is what it is, often introduces
the very young to debasing evils
of which they have had no previous knowledge.
Some have been known to commit
suicide after going to confession.
Many have been known to get into
an even deeper involvement in the very sins
which they were trying to
escape.
It is naïve beyond belief to
imagine that some one sitting behind the thin screen in
a confessional, and who is a
member of their congregation, would be unknown to the person
on the other side of the screen,
a priest.
As Priests are only human,
regardless of what their leadership might teach them,
the desire to participate into
depraved wickedness can overwhelm them.
They would like to have these
experiences themselves.
Blackmail is very possible,
cooperate otherwise there will be repercussions.
We open a can of worms with
fornication, adultery, homosexuality and paedophilia,
to mention just some of the
worms which come out of the can.
Catholic
"auricular confession" is so evil because:
It gives so much power to the priesthood to suppose that they can absolve sins.
It pollutes the mind by keeping impure thoughts in the mind long enough
to make confession, and to state them in words.
It gives a man such power over a female to suppose that it is required by religion
that all sins passing in her mind should be disclosed to him.
The very things that a seducer would like to know are the thoughts of his intended victim.
Virtue would be safe nowhere.
This practice has greatly corrupted community morals as seen by so many Catholic priests
being sued for sexual abuse of women and children.
Points which I thoroughly endorse from the Jesus Is Lord Website http//:www.Acts1711.com
As they know their membership
they can really have their own way and achieve their
sinful desires as Charles Chiniquy
points out in his books.
I am not saying for one minute
that this applies to all Catholic Priests.
It does not.
I am simply explaining the
problems of confession.
The point is that no person can
bear the sins of another.
We have neither the spiritual
nor physical strength to do so.
In any case Christ did that.
Sometimes, for some reason
people what to tell me of some sin of theirs.
I have to stop them.
It is not my business in the
slightest.
There is the inbuilt problem
that you would not look at the person in the same light ever again.
You would not treat them as an
equal.
You would regard them as somehow
inferior to you.
The fact that all have sinned
would be far from your mind.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God;
We forget that but for the mercy
of God, there go I.
We only have to confess our sins
to the Eternal God.
Here are additional scriptures
to confirm this.
Psalms
32:5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine
iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD;
and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psalms 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to
forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all
them that call upon thee.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Leviticus 26:40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and
the iniquity of their fathers,
with their trespass which they trespassed against me,
and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
We
sin against the Eternal, therefore our confession has to be to the Eternal.
As we have repeatedly stated on our website, absolutely no middle man is
required.
You do not need a Priest to intercede or to forgive you.
You do not need Mary who is in Paradise to intercede for you she cannot.
You do not need anyone at all but Christ to intercede for you and obtain
or give you
forgiveness for your sins.
Christ is our mediator.
Forgiveness is free and requires no penance of any kind.
Early church writers such as Chrysostom (350 AD), and Basil (350 AD)
wrote strongly about confessing sins
to God only.
It is worth pointing out that the continuous history of the Roman Catholic church
up to the time of the Council of Nicea 325 AD is an exceedingly difficult thing
to trace, probably because it does not exist in the first place.
The Bible gives these examples of confessing sins to God only,
in none of these instances was a confession to a person or priest made.
1. When Simon of Samaria sinned after being baptised he was told
to pray to God for forgiveness. Acts 8:22.
2. The apostles never heard confessions,
but said in Acts 10:43 that: "through his name whosoever believeth
in him shall receive remission of sins."
3. Peter never forgave the sins of Cornelius. Acts 10:44-48.
4. Paul never forgave the sins of the Philippian jailer. Acts 16:30-34.
5. Only God can forgive sins. "Who can forgive sins but God only." Mark 2:5-11.
Let us consider the only person I can
recall who confessed to priests in the New Testament.
Look at how he ended up! Maybe this
is trying to tell us something. He committed suicide.
Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned,
repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.
And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed,
and went and hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said,
It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
Question: But doesn't John 20:23 say that a priest has power to forgive sins
"Whosoever sins ye remit, they
are remitted unto them;
and whosoever sins ye retain, they
are retained?"
Answer: The meaning is, not that man can forgive sins (because only God can),
but that they were to declare on what terms and conditions, to what characters,
and to what attitude of mind, God would forgive sins.
God was saying that people might have assurance of forgiveness who would comply with those terms.
Those who did not comply should not be forgiven, and their sins should be retained.
Jesus here is giving the apostles (and by extension all Christians)
the privilege of announcing heavens terms on how a person can receive forgiveness of sins.
If a person believes in Jesus, then a Christian has the right to announce his forgiveness.
If a person rejects Jesus Christ's blood sacrifice on the cross as the full payment for his sins,
then a Christian can announce that persons sins are not forgiven.
Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man, not a priest, not Mary,
and not the saints. "There is one God, and one mediator between God and man,
the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5.
PENANCE.
Catholicism believes that a priest has the power to forgive or retain sins,
and impose penance as a means of testing the genuineness of the person's confession,
and of making a satisfaction to God for that sin is that correct?.
Answer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:31.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9.
We only confess our sins to God. No mention is made of penance here or anywhere.
No good works that we do by penance will ever satisfy God,
but sinners can be accepted and forgiven only on the ground of Christ's sacrifice,
through which alone the justice and wrath of God against sin have been satisfied.
Romans 3:24-28.
"He is the propitiation for our sins ..." 1 John 2:2.
Penance is performing outward acts such as repeating prayers, like the "Hail Mary" or the "Rosary",
as a payment for sin and to satisfy God. Roman Catholicism bases penance on Ezekiel 18:30,
Luke 13:5 and Acts 2:38 where they incorrectly translate "repentance"
(metanoeo = to turn, repent, to change one's mind) as "penance".
The Roman Catholic Church cannot clearly and easily show its history before 320 AD,
when the Roman Emporer Constantine professed conversion, amalgamated pagans and Christians,
and declared himself to be the head or pontif of the Universal (Catholic) Church.
The early Church never had many of the doctrines that the Roman Catholic Church now has.
"If they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20.
Jesus Is Lord Website
http//:www.Acts1711.com whom we have quoted
Has much excellent additional
information on Roman Catholic Errors.
We
have seen that the practice of Confessing to a Priest or to another person
authorised by him,
is
unbiblical. It was a doctrine introduced by the devil himself and is now
enforced by him,
through
his primary power on the earth the great false church.
Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name
written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
The good news is that Babylon will soon be utterly
destroyed.
Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice,
saying,
Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become
the habitation of devils,
and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every
unclean and hateful bird.
Soon Confession, Penance, and the many other abominable
doctrines which keep
over
one billion people in captivity,
will
be a long distant memory.
The only way
out of this dilemma is Jesus Christ.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come
soon Lord Jesus.
Amen.
