                       Walking On Water

By Peter James from:   www.peterjamesx.com

What do you think happened in the incident mentioned below,

when Peter walked on the water?

Matthew 14:25  And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them,

walking on the sea.

Matthew 14:26  And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea,

they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

Matthew 14:27  But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying,

Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

Matthew 14:28  And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou,

bid me come unto thee on the water.

Matthew 14:29  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship,

he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Matthew 14:32  And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Do you think that Christ suspended the many laws, which govern objects in water?

Scientific terms associated with floating and sinking such as

force, density, pressure, the Archimedes principle, which briefly states

. . . a floating object will sink into the water until it reaches a point where

the weight of the water pushed aside equals its own weight.

             http://www.deakin.edu.au/arts-ed/education/sci-enviro-ed/early-years/pdfs/floating-sink.pdf

Of course there are many other laws, which are not mentioned here,

as Christ and Peter walked  on the water, they did not sink into it.

Peter walked on the water as long as his faith held him up.

Christ did not suspend the laws at all, not for a single second.

Christ said:

Malachi 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not;

therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Christ is speaking about His laws, and not about changing His mind,

because the Eternal God does change His mind.

It is a fact that many see the Eternal God as a vicious, vindictive being.

At least Jonah knew better than that.

There are countless examples in the Bible, when Christ did not punish people,

as they deserved to be.

It was the Eternal God’s mercy tat upset Jonah so greatly.

He could not believe that God was not going to destroy Nineveh,

because as far as he was concerned they not only deserved it,

but he wanted to see this great destruction take place.

This was Jonah’s complaint to the Eternal God.

Jonah 4:2  And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD,

was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country?

Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish:

(1) for I knew that thou art a gracious God,

(2) and merciful,

(3) slow to anger,

(4) and of great kindness,

(5) and repentest thee of the evil.

(Will change your mind and not destroy those who deserve to be destroyed)

He was so angry that Nineveh was not destroyed, that he wanted to die.

Jonah 4:3  Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee,

my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.

Just like many so called Christians today, Jonah felt that he was actually

more righteous than the Eternal God.

It is common for the vast majority to want the Eternal God to carry out their wishes,

even though with their mouths they say ‘thy will be done’.

They also get very angry when events do not turn out as they desire,

and as they earnestly expect.

They then diligently try to do the Eternal God’s work for Him.

How absurd is this?

There are two sets of laws, which govern the entire creation,

of the Eternal God. Of course these are then divided into laws,

which are without number.

The laws of one system can interact and impact the other system.

The spiritual laws can be regarded as being superior to the physical laws.

In fact all spiritual things can be thought of in this very same way.

Spiritual things belong to a different, and vastly superior dimension.

For a start they are not governed by time and space.

Faith is not governed by time, space, or any other physical law.

We must walk by Faith, there is no other way.

When the Eternal God tells us something this should be our response,

which should be steadfast, not doubting in the slightest..

    Barnabas 19:5

Thou shalt not doubt whether a thing shall be or not be.

When Peter obeyed the command of Christ, when he simply said come,

Peter did walk on the water.

Matthew 14:29  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship,

he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

The physical laws, which were mentioned above, were all still in full operation,

and we see this because as soon as he feared and doubted, he started to sink

in the rough water.

Matthew 14:30  But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid;

and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Matthew 14:31  And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him,

and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

How does this matter to us today?

It matters a great deal.

In these perilous times, many believers are panicking greatly about what is

going to happen to them and their families, in the coming great tribulation.

Many are not sure what is going to happen to themselves,

and even worse, they are petrified about what is going to happen to their children,

and their other family members.

So we have the matter of ‘O thou of little faith’, once again.

We simply do not trust the Eternal God to look after those,

who after all are not only His children, but His all embracing sacrifice

includes them. If we are going to trust in our non existent strength to help

our family and friends, then they are in very deep trouble indeed.

When Simon Peter, started to sink, did Christ tell him, to pull himself together,

and sort himself out?

No He did not.

We are told that,

immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him.

He did not leave him to drown, because of his lack of faith.

We might speak a lot about ‘God’, and even read our bibles,

but on what we consider to be important decisions,

we want to have our say.

It is unbelievably foolish.

Christ told us, that even each hair on our bodies has a unique number.

Matthew 10:29  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?

and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Matthew 10:30  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Matthew 10:31  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Can we really not see that all our very best efforts to bring our family and friends,

into line with our beliefs have not worked at all.

Furthermore, our activities have actually caused the relationships with our loved ones,

to descend further into an ever downward spiralling black hole,

but we just do not learn. We keep trying new ideas, and new tactics,

which all ultimately fail.

It is a simple fact that the more that people are blessed,

the more arrogant they become.

The rebellious ones, whom we are trying to convert,

will only understand pain, and very harsh lessons.

This is the unfortunate truth.

You will see this throughout the bible.

Hebrews 12:6  For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth,

and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

There are many places in the bible, which show us that the Eternal God is trying

to get our attention, but we are so very comfortable, complacent,

unthankful and arrogant we just ignore Him.

It is the long history of all the 12 Biblical Israelite nations.

This is explained in great detail in my document:

The Northern Army & Allies Will Punish The English Speaking World & Israel      Print

If you look in the book of Amos, you will see the very same thing.

Amos 4: 6  And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities,

and want of bread in all your places: (Lack of food)

yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Amos 4: 7  And also I have withholden the rain from you,

when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city,

and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon,

and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

Amos 4: 8  So two or three cities wandered unto one city,

to drink water; but they were not satisfied:

yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Amos 4: 9  I have smitten you with blasting and mildew:

when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees

increased, the palmerworm devoured them:

yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Amos 4: 10  I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt:

your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses;

and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils:

yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Amos 4: 11  I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,

and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning:

yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

This is a major problem of our nations, and our various churches.

They believe that they are exceptional.

Amos 6:8  The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts,

I abhor the excellency (the abominable attitude, their exceptionalism)

of Jacob, (This is all the 12 tribes of israel),

and hate his palaces:

therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

Today, Satan has rigged our corrupt governments to tell us that we should not smack our

children, and they will prosecute us if we were to do smack our children.

Be assured that the Eternal God will smack each and everyone of us,

who does not listen to him.

Document: Discipline

The next related problem is the matter of listening.

I have been very greatly blessed that, I have spent most of my working life,

working with computers. This has built in me great patience, great discipline,

and attention to detail. Very, very few people actually listen properly,

and then do what they are told.

With computer systems, you can think anything at all that you wish,

but if you do not do precisely what the computer sofware demands,

you can throw a tantrum, shout, scream, you can read your bible,

fast and pray as long as you like, until you do precisely what is required.

You cannot imitate what is required.

If a letter o is required, you cannot use a figure 0, if you look carefully

you can see that they even look differently.

It simply will not work.

As part of my work, and even now that I am ‘retired’,

whatever that is supposed to mean,

I still have to solve computer problems.

People will call and tell me that they have a problem.

Often I would say, ok let us do such and such.

The automatic response before I am even finished saying everything

that I intend to do is, ‘I have already tried that, and it did not work.’

I am then thinking, I was quite happy in my home, minding my own business,

why is this person harassing me?

Since they know the problem, why don’t they just fix it, and leave me alone.

Having spent many frustrating hours, I then installed software,

which allows me to remotely access any computer on the Internet.

Instead of wasting my very precious time, now what used to take an hour or longer,

can be fixed in a very few minutes.

We all have to start listening very diligently, and carefully,

and then we must carefully carry out ALL the instructions,

which we have been given.

If we do not, we will have absolutely no chance to ‘Walk on Water’.

This is far more important than worrying about our families and friends.

We have been told countless times, that we must listen to,

and that we must also be very careful to do precisely what the angel,

who is going to be sent to tell us what to do.

We have never yet been told to react to our feelings and our emotions.

This is a recipe for complete disaster.

Peter was told to come, and he did, he also had the faith,

then in the midst of the sea, when the water got rough he panicked,

threw his faith into the sea, and promptly started to sink beneath the angry waves.

The reality is that you cannot love yourself, your children, your family and friends,

more than the Eternal God loves you.

The Eternal God is faithful, and long ago He told us not to worry about our

family as He has them in his care.

Why do we not believe Him?

Why do we make Him out to be a liar, because that is what we are doing?

We have chosen life for ourselves and our children.

This verse means precisely what it says.

Why don’t we believe it?

Deuteronomy 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,

that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:

therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

I stated that there are spiritual laws, and there are physical laws.

Faith is a spiritual law, we cannot work it up, we cannot do any activity

to increase it. The faith which is required is the Faith of Christ.

We have to allow Him, to build and increase the Faith which He requires,

and not our idea of the Faith, which we think that we need.

Going to meetings, and doing anything at all will not increase our Faith.

Christ has a specific plan for each individual, to give them every spiritual

quality, which they need, and in the required amount which He desires.

When you see how the Eternal God stretches out His hand to you, and solves

problems, which were beyond your ability to solve, you should gratefully thank Him.

Prayers of thanksgiving rather than lots of requests is the very best option.

Each intervention by the Eternal God should increase your faith.

When asked about the Eternal God, you will not say, I think so, I hope so,

you will say I know, and you will mean I absolutely know, with no shades

of grey in between.

To survive what lies ahead, these simple points are quite critical.

They all need to become an intrinsic part of our being.

If we cannot do these things in times of peace,

how are we going to manage in times of war?

Christ will never give us more than we are able to handle.

1 Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:

but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;

but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

We ALL have to strive to be overcomers, and this does not mean worrying

about any physical thing. We have to be spiritually on the right track,

and making a difference every single day.

If we do not do this, we will not be part of the Manchild bride of Christ,

and we will not make it to the wedding of the bride, which we expect

to happen in the very near future.

I have been saying for a very long time, that it is only by attending this wedding feast,

that we will be strengthend, and empowered to cope with what lies ahead.

Not a single one of us has the physical, emotional or spiritual strength to cope,

this is a blessing that has to be given to each of us.

This is a very sobering fact.

We were told many years ago, that each and every one of us is replaceable,

and our replacements are waiting in the wings to take our place.

I have actually seen, and been in contact with some of these people.

As always you have to choose.

Are you going to sink, or are you going to walk on the water?
