Lessons From Lot For Us Today.

When Abraham told
Lot, his brother to chose, wherever he wanted,
to live, the
luscious area of Sodom was the place, where Lot chose to dwell.
This meant that
Abraham would take, the other place,
which could not
compare with how Sodom appeared.
Just like the
Tree of good and evil, Sodom was like the Garden and Eden.
The other area
was not like the beautiful, fertile, and desirable Sodom.
Genesis
13:10 And Lot
lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of
Jordan,
that
it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed
Sodom
and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD,
like
the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
As always, when
we go by sight, we end up in great trouble, and so did Lot.
Sodom was a
despotic cesspit, of gross immorality, homosexuality,
fornication, orgies,
and partner swapping with wives and single women,
happened 4 times
a year, in beautiful surroundings in a lush valley,
between the
mountains. Even their children attended these abominations.
You can read
about this in the book of Jasher in Chapter 19.
Christ came down
personally from His throne, with two angels,
to check out
Sodom. The three spirit beings visted Abraham,
and told him what
was going to happen to Sodom, and the cities of the plain.
After a meal with
his visitors, Abraham pleaded for Sodom to be saved.
However, the
problem was that Christ showed,
that there were
not even ten righteous people, in the city.
As
ten could not be found, Sodom, Ghomorrah and the cities of the plain,
were
going to be destroyed.
Similarly
today, in most places, it would be just as hard to find righteous people.
Christ did not
need to literally go to Sodom,
to know what what
was going happening there.
He knows all
things, but he wanted us to know, that although most
believe
that
He does not exist, He is a hands on God, who takes a direct,
and
very personal interest in His entire creation.
In
fact, we are not told that Christ continued to go to Sodom at all,
but
his two accompanying angels did so.
Christ
had planned a way of escape, for righteous Lot and his family.
This required
that they listened to, and did what the angels told them.
This means that
they had to trust the Eternal God for their deliverance,
from the threatening
fiery inferno.
Lot
had at least three other daughters.
We
read of one in Jasher Chapter 19. She was called Paltith.
She
was killed when she gave bread and water, to a hungry visitor.
It
was forbidden to do this in Sodom.
By
doing this, she broke the laws of Sodom.
As a
consequence she was burned to death.
Today in
some places we are making it a crime to be poor, and homeless.
It is
also a crime to feed the hungry homeless people.
Lot
had two other daughters, who were married.
Lot visited
them and told his sons in law, what was going to happen.
He
pleaded with his sons in law to come with him,
and
to leave Sodom before it was destroyed,
but
they rejected his offer to be saved.
The
result was that they would be left behind.
It needs to be
very clear to us, that Lot’s family members had been
given a chance to
be saved. They refused to accept it.
It is also very
possible, that if today some of our family members,
were given the
very same opportunity, as Lot’s sons in law,
they would do the
very same thing.
It
does not mean that they are eternally lost,
but
they are going to go through suffering, which they could have avoided.
It is my experience, that human beings
only tend to learn,
through suffering.
Genesis
19:14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law,
which
married his daughters,
and
said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city.
But
he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
Of
his entire family, just the two daughters, who must have
still
lived at home, and his wife, still had the chance to be saved.
In
the evening, the men of Sodom, young and old, went to Lot’s house,
to
try to abuse the two angels, who had appeared as men.
The men
of Sodom were all promptly blinded, and the angels
dragged
Lot back into the safety of his house.
We
are told that Lot’s family, were hesitant to leave Sodom.
The
angels forced Lot, his wife and his two remaining daughters,
to
leave Sodom, so that its destruction could take place,
but we
are told that Lot lingered.
It
seems that he did not want to leave Sodom.
Genesis
19:16 And
while he lingered,
the
men laid hold upon his hand,
and
upon the hand of his wife,
and
upon the hand of his two daughters;
the
LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth,
and
set him without the city.
It
needed two angels, so that there were four angelic hands,
one
hand to hold, and protect each family member, and as it were
drag
them out of the city.
Lot
and his family were all told not to look back.
Lot’s
wife disobeyed and looked back,
and she
was instantly turned into a pillar of salt.
The
lessons are as follows.
1) The Eternal God has a plan of escape for us, and our families.
2) This
does not mean that our families will accept this at all.
They can easily regard us as crazy, and
tell us to go away.
They will then stay and face the music.
This is just what Lot’s sons in law, and
their wives did,
and they perished.
Genesis
19:14 And
Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law,
which
married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place;
for
the LORD will destroy this city.
But
he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
The
result was that they were burnt to a crisp,
like
all the rebellious, and wicked people had been.
The
Eternal has prepared a set of tools, so that no one needs to be lost.
However,
if our final choice is complete rebellion, then so be it.
These
are the tools.
3) The main purpose of trials, pain, suffering, and tribulation
is to wake us up from our arrogance, and
bring us to our senses.
4) As I have said, we cannot convince a single
soul of anything.
5) Mentioning
the words ’God’ or ‘Obey’, are complete conversation stoppers,
almost every time.
5) It is
normal for human beings to blame “God” for all their troubles,
and the troubles of the world. In fact it
is even worse, many curse Him.
During the Great Tribulation, the more that
the Eternal God punishes the people,
the more they will rebel and curse Him,
rather than repent.
Revelation
16:10 And
the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat
of
the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness;
and
they gnawed their tongues for pain,
Revelation
16:11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because
of
their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
Here
is the Biblical proof, that we cannot truly convince anyone of anything.
Pompass
and arrogant though we are,
we do
not even know what is in our own hearts.
Therefore
how are we going to change the minds of others,
and
even convert them?
It is utterly impossible.
Lot could not
persuade his sons in law to accompany him,
in spite of his
very best efforts.
Christ
explained that the matter of calling was not even up to Him,
but
His Father only.
When
are we going understand this simple fact?
We
are told in very simple language,
that
it takes the Highest Being of all,
the
Eternal God the Father, and His Power to call anyone.
John
6:65 And he said,
Therefore said I unto you,
that no man can come unto me,
except
it were given unto him of my Father.
The
Assyrian in Isaiah chapter 10 continues this example.
We
are clearly told, that the Assyrian did not actually know what he was
going
to do, although the Eternal God had sent him on a mission.
He
was going to do much more, than he thought that he would do,
and
also than he was supposed to do.
Note
the weapon in the Assyrian’s hand was the indignation of God,
which
is His great anger.
Isaiah10:5
¶ O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger,
and
the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
. . .
Isaiah10:7 Howbeit he meaneth not
so, neither doth his heart think so;
but it
is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
The
verse which was omitted above is verse 6.
It tells
us that the assignment of the army of the Eternal God,
was
to punish His own people.
We
are just as hypocritical today, as ancient Biblical Israel.
Isaiah10:6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation,
and
against the people of my wrath will I
give him a charge,
to
take the spoil, and
to
take the prey,
and to
tread them down like the mire of the streets.
I
need to explain, that although it mentions the Assyrian,
which
is the German nation,
the
Assyrian is being used as a type, of the Northern Army,
which
has been assigned to punish Biblical Israel.
The

Another
example of a “type”, is the word “Babylon”.
A “type”
is a word, which is used to represent someone, or something else.
This
can “type”, can arise many years, even centuries later.
Babylon
often does not refer to the literal Babylon of today.
Here
is another example of a word, which is used as a “type”.
Christ
was murdered on the outskirts of Jerusalem,
however,
Jerusalem was so very wicked, that it equated with Sodom and Egypt.
Therefore
we read that Jerusalem was the spiritual equivalent of Sodom and Egypt.
Revelation
11:8 And
their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, (Jerusalem)
which
spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt,
where
also our Lord was crucified.
This is an example which shows that we
cannot change others.
Job
was given a very stern lesson by the Eternal God,
and
we are being given the very same harsh lesson today.
Many
think that they can call all and sundry, and force them “to be saved”.
They
do this by ‘Witnessing’.
It does not work
that way.
Many
think, that the Eternal God is not fair,
when
he gives His judgment, on our families.
We
can easily tend to blame Him, and not our families.
I
have explained that Salvation is a family affair.
Being
a family has consequences.
The
Eternal God is going to do precisely what needs to be done,
in
order to answer our prayers, for the salvation of our families.
He
will do it at what He determines is the best possible time,
and in
the best possible way.
It
certainly is never when we think, or hope that it will happen,
nor is
it how, we think that it will happen.
Of
course, we will want to object, and think that the Eternal is far too harsh.
We
forget that the Eternal God, loves our families,
much
more than we could ever love them.
Did
Christ not also die for them?
Have
you died for your family?
I
think not.
We
ignore the fact, that the Eternal has been merciful and blessing,
our
families for many years.
All
our own best efforts have had no positive effect whatsoever.
In
fact most times the relationship deteriorates greatly.
Normally
our very best attempts are met with derision.
All
of the Eternal God’s efforts, to turn around our families, and friends,
have
not borne any fruit. Therefore judgment,
and tribulation is the only
option
left, if they are to be saved.
For
this reason the Eternal God asked Job,
Are
you going to condemn Me, for My judgment, because you are more
righteous
than I am.
We had all better be very careful, that we
do not fall into this trap.
Job
40:8 Wilt thou also disannul my
judgment?
wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest
be righteous?
Christ
then challenges Job to appear like Him, with His great power,
majesty
and glory. Of course no creature, who is made out of dust,
or
even spirit, can appear or illustrate the great power and majesty,
of
the Eternal God.
Job
40:9 Hast
thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
Job
40:10 Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency;
and array thyself with glory and beauty.
Job
was then challenged to transform all the proud, and arrogant people,
and
to make them humble.
Then
he was to shame the wicked, by putting them down, trampling them in the dust,
and
to humiliate them in secret.
Job
40:11 Cast
abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every
one that is proud,
and
abase him.
Job
40:12 Look
on every one that is proud, and bring him low;
and tread down the wicked in their place.
Job
40:13 Hide
them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
The
Eternal God then told Job, that if he could do all of these things,
then
He, The Eternal God, would say that Job
was the equivalent of God.
Job
40:14
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own
right
hand can save thee.
Of
course neither Job nor we can do any such thing.
As much as you love your families, when the
chips are down,
we are all going to have to choose,
are we going to obey the Eternal God,
or are we going to let our feelings, and
emotions control us.
It has been my experience over 45 years, that
we will have
always to chose, who we are going to serve.
Absolutely
everyone is going to have to keep making these choices.
It is not a once in a life time event.
For a very long time our Rhema has kept
repeating,
that we must all do exactly what the angels,
who have been despatched
to give us instructions tell us.
It is critical for our survival.
The parallel of today when compared to the report
about Lot,
is a
very precise one.
Lot’s
sons in law chose rebellion and perished.
Lot’s
wife could not bear the fact, that she was leaving
her two daughters, and sons in law,
and also a place in which she might well
have delighted.
When she was instructed not to look behind,
she
promptly did and perished.
Genesis
19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him,
and
she became a pillar of salt.
How does this all fit in with today.
There is a complete document, which explains Revelation Chapter 12.
The entire body of true believers, like all churches
true or false,
is symbolically
referred to as a “Woman”.

Manchild, The Remnant Updated 2011
The people of God, the true believers, are
divided into three groups.
First
is the manchild.
Second
is the woman, a sub
group of the woman.
Third
is the remnant.
The report about Lot primarily deals with
the second sub group,
which is also called “the woman”.
In this document, this is the group to which
I am referring,
when I use the term “the
woman”.
Lot’s
family who did not heed his warning, very quickly perished.
Those who refuse to come out of Babylon will
also quickly perish.
In Revelation 12,
“the woman” is promised that she would be
taken
to a place of safety, for 42 months, 1260
days or three and one half years.
Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness,
where she hath a
place prepared of God,
that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Revelation 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a
great eagle,
that she might fly into the wilderness, into
her place,
where she is
nourished for a time, and times, and half a time,
from the face of the serpent.
Here is an exceedingly big wake up call for
all believers.
There is no rapture.
The Eternal God, Himself has prepared a place
of safety for “the woman”.
There she will be provided for, and dwell in
safety during the great tribulation.
The Eternal God has also provided the means
for “the woman”,
to get to the place of safety.
If anyone is relying on their church, or
their pastor,
they are going to be in serious trouble.
Today, I do not know of any churches, which teach about a place of safety,
for one part of the body of believers.
Many teach some version of a rapture.
The Eternal God did not use any type of minister to warn Lot,
of what was going to shortly take place in Sodom.
He sent two angels, not only to warn Lot,
but to actually deliver them out of Sodom.
There was absolutely no chance of deception or mistake.
Everything hung on
obedience to what the angel said.
In
reality, most churches are so far removed from the Eternal God,
and as they are
in rebellion against Him, big time, I would very much like
to know, where they
believe is this place of safety,
and how is “the
Woman”, going to get there.
This verse tells
us that this is a time of great distress, and persecution.
Revelation 12:13
And when the dragon saw that he was
cast unto the earth,
he persecuted the
woman which brought forth the man child.
Lot and his daughters were like “the woman”.
A place of
safety, and nurture had been provided for them.
Although
they went with the two angels, Lot was in no hurry
to leave the doomed city.
I repeat, we are told that he lingered.
Lot did not completely trust the Eternal God.
If he had done so, he would not have lingered.
The angels had to gently man handle Lot, his
wife, and daughters,
to bring them out of the city.
Genesis 19:16 And while he
lingered,
the men laid hold
upon his hand,
and upon the hand
of his wife, and upon
the hand of his
two daughters;
the LORD being merciful unto him: and they
brought him forth,
and set him without the city.
We have been told many times, and we have
every reason to believe,
that
the Eternal God, would once again despatch his angels to tell each person,
precisely
what they need to do.

All of you must
prepare for the arrival of the angel
and
doing everything he will tell you if you do not want to do the end of Lot’s
wife.
How can we ever
trust a normal person, for such a critical event.
Let us
suppose that the person, who got the instructions, did not like you,
you might never be
told what to do.
The reality is that everyone, who
needs to know, will know.
This is absolutely guaranteed.
Then we are back to
the matter of choice.
We will
have to chose whether to obey or to disobey.
Christ’s
message to believers is to come out of Babylon.
I
have explained this in many documents.
Sadly,
ego, arrogance, pride, exceptionalism, comfort and complacency,
have
been the reason, that many have refused to do so.
They
cannot imagine that their peaceful, and reasonably well to do life,
can
change in a moment, but it can.
If the
message of the angel is disobeyed, the very same plagues,
which
will destroy Babylon, will be the very sad result, for the rebellious.
Revelation
18:4 And
I heard another voice from heaven, saying,
Come
out of her, (Babylon) my people, that ye be not
partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Lot
made a very strange decision, when he was prepared to give
the
men of Sodom his two daughters, so that they could be sexually abused,
instead
of the angels. I find that very hard to comprehend,
that
he would do such a thing, but he did.
Lot’s
wife perished because, she would not do, what she had been told.
Lot
made yet another mistake by not wanting to flee to the mountains,
as
he had been commanded.
He
pleaded to be sent to a small nearby city.
Genesis
19:19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in
thy sight,
and
thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me
in
saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain,
lest
some evil take me, and I die:
Genesis
19:20
Behold now, this city is near to
flee unto, and
it is a little one:
Oh,
let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
Genesis
19:21 And
he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning
this
thing also, that I will not overthrow
this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
Lot’s
request was granted.
The
Eternal God, must have thought, I am doing My very best for him,
but he
still wants to do his own thing.
Ok I
will let you do was you wish.
You
are going to learn a very harsh lesson, and you do not know it,
but
the repercussions, will last until I set up My kingdom.
Lot
fled to Zoar,
the small city, where he desired to escape
the
destruction of Sodom, but it was not long before Lot had to flee,
with
his daughters from Zoar
to the mountains,
where
he should have gone in the first place.
Zoar
was probably also scheduled to be destroyed,
but
escaped because of Lot’s plea.
If
it was a good and wholesome place, he would not have had to flee
for
his life with his daughters.
Genesis
19:30 ¶
And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the
mountain,
and
his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar:
and
he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
Today
those who refuse to carry out the angel’s instruction, could easily find
themselves,
as part of the, third group of Revelation 12, “the Remnant”.
That
is the worse possible place for any Believers to end up,
because
they will go through the Great Tribulation, head on.
We
cannot use the word Remnant,
to
mean whatever we would like it to mean, as some do.
We
always have to consider the context.
The
entire chapter of Revelation 12, is speaking about,
the
body of Christ, the True believers, His “Church”.
Because
it is suits our purposes, we cannot suddenly use the word
church
to mean ‘Part of the Nation of Israel’, or anything else.
It is
speaking about the Remnant of the church,
who
do not fit into the other two sub groups, the
Manchild, and “the
Woman”.
Returning
to the point about ‘Coming out of
Babylon’, for a moment,
those
who bluntly refuse to acknowledge,
that
they have been deceived and seduced, will stay where they are,
and
carry on as before. Then they will find that very quickly,
they
wil suffer like Lot’s sons in law and his daughters.
There
was no delay.
Lot
and his family left whilst it was yet dark.
By
sunrise they arrived in Zoar.
Genesis
19:23 The
sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
As
soon as Lot and his two daughters arrived in Zoar,
because
his wife was already dead, the firestorm destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah,
and
all the cities of the plain.
We
can expect the very same speedy events to take place today.
Genesis
19:24 ¶
Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah
brimstone
and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
Genesis
19:25 And
he overthrew those cities, and all the
plain,
and
all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
This
is how it will look today.
Revelation
18:10
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying,
Alas,
alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city!
for
in one hour is thy judgment come.
Or
they might
be part of the Remnant, of Revelation chapter
12,
and go
through the Great Tribulation head on.
They
certainly will not be part of the Manchild.
It will
be a terrible mistake.
Regardless of what we might like to
believe, it includes you and me.
Those
who refuse to leave Babyhlon, often reason, that they have given vast
amounts
in tithes and offerings, and they have attended services,
and
Bible studies, and accepted all the demands, which were placed on them.
How
can they be wrong, they argue?
The phrase
“deceiveth
the whole world”,
does
not allow for any exceptions whatsoever.
Revelation
12:9 And
the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil,
and
Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth,
and
his angels were cast out with him.
It is truly critical, for everyone on
planet earth to take personal responsibility,
for their actions, and their mistakes.
Salvation is a process of being
delivered out of deception.
Their
house is on fire.
The
fire fighters have arrived, and prepared for the people to jump
into
the life net, to save their lives, but they refused to respond.
Since
they refused to use the safety net,
They
will be go through the tribulation, which is a quite unnecessary experience.
Sometime
ago, I knew a blind lady and she said,
that if her guide dog was not going to
heaven,
she would not go there either.
Forgetting about the fact, that no one is
going to heaven,
you can see how her reasoning was
absolutely ridiculous.
She was like most people, who reason that
the Eternal God,
has to conform to their wishes, if they deign
to be a part of His kingdom.
This is absolute lunacy.
In reality this is the sin of Idolatry,
because, like the vast majority of mankind,
they have elevated themselves above the Most
Holy, and Righteous God.
You might well desire to live in such beautiful surroundings,
as these pictures.
There is also another possibility.
It is that there might be some family members, who did not
qualify to be
members of the Manchild, nor The Remnant,
nor worthy of destruction.
They might well be part of the sub group “The Woman”.
It is my view, that it is a very risky thing to think, well it is all ok,
I do not mind if I am part of the woman, but that attitude
alone,
might rule that you will be part of the Remnant, which is not good news.
A head on war with our adversary Satan.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon
(Satan) was wroth with the woman,
and went to make war with the remnant of
her seed,
which keep the commandments of God, and
have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I strongly urge everyone to seriously and diligently seek to
be part of the Manchild,
by listening to and doing
what the Eternal God tells you, however He chooses to tell you.
If you are a part of “The Woman”,
you will not be having the creature
comforts,
to which you have been accustomed. Just
have a look at how unhappy,
and even ungrateful ancient Biblical Israel
was,
when they had to go into the wilderness,
where Christ protected them,
and provided for them.
The choice of where you end up,
once you have been
called is entirely up to you, no one else.
This can be in the future, when Christ sets up His Kingdom.
It will not be like this during the time of the soon coming judgment.

Our
depraved, and desparately wicked spiritual condition will result in this, if we
do not repent.
Frankly
I do not see repentance any where on the horizon.
So,
sadly we can transfer these pictures, to where we live,
as
our nations reap what they have sown.

With this mindset
from its creation in 1948.
There can never
be peace.
This is a type of
what is going to happen to The Biblical Israelite nations.

in the Old Testament, many times.

2 Kings
21:12 Therefore thus
saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold,
I am bringing
such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah,
that whosoever
heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
2 Kings
21:13 And I will
stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria,
and the plummet
of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem
as a
man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
2 Kings
21:14 And I will
forsake the remnant of mine inheritance,
and deliver them
into the hand of their enemies;
and they shall
become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
2 Kings
21:15 Because they have done that which was evil in my sight,
and
have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came
forth
out of Egypt,
even unto this day.
Let us be very
wise, and very careful to do precisely what the angel
of our deliverance
tells us to do.
We must not act
like Lot.
There is no need
to be anyone to suffer Sodom’s fate.
