The Apostle John And The Great Light
By Peter James from:
On the website, we have posted a document about
The arrival of one of the two Witnesses, the Apostle John.
The Document is : Arrival Of One Witness
The apostle John was still alive in the late 90’s A.D.,
which was around the time that the Eternal God,
gave him, the Rhema, which was revealed in the Book of Revalation.
These are the verses, for the basis of the document,
regarding the return of one witness.
Christ gave this revelation to his servant John,
but it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:1 ¶ The Revelation of Jesus Christ,
which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which
must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by
his angel unto his servant John:
The three areas covered in the book of Revelation
are explained here:
Revelation 1:19 Write the things
(1) which thou hast seen,
(2) and the things which are,
(3) and the things which shall be hereafter;
Item number (3) deals with one of the many events,
which was yet future to the time of John,
when he penned the book of Revelation.
This was told to the Apostle John.
It is an event that has yet to be fulfilled.
Revelation 10:11 And he said unto me,
(The angel was speaking to the apostle John,
who penned the book of Revelation)
Thou must prophesy again before
(A) many peoples,
(B) and nations,
(C) and tongues,
(D) and kings.
According to the above verse the Apostle John’s
original commission, was to prophesy
to many people, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
So he must have done this, because we are told that
he would do it again.
The word ‘Apostle’, means one who is sent forth.
Therefore just by definition, the primary function of
the apostles, was that they were sent forth to preach the gospel.
The original 12 apostles, under the direction of the Apostle Peter,
were commanded to go to the lost tribes, of the house of Israel,
which were scattered in many parts of the world.
It seems that many Jews were still in Palestine.
Matthew 10:5 ¶ These twelve Jesus sent forth,
and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles,
and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Matthew 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
The apostle Paul was sent primarily to the Gentiles,
but also to the house of Israel.
Act 9:11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street
which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas
for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, . . .
Act 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way:
for he is a chosen vessel unto me,
to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings,
and the children of Israel:
The reason I am mentioning this, is that there is a great reason
why the apostle John is going to return.
This is some background on the Apostle John.
John 21:20 ¶ Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple
whom Jesus loved following;
(The Apostle John is here referring to himself)
which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord,
which is he that betrayeth thee?
John 21:21 Peter seeing him (The Apostle John) saith to Jesus, Lord,
and what shall this man (The Apostle John) do?
(Most people tend to feel, that when they are asked a question,
they are obliged to answer.
Christ did not do that.
Often, He did not answer the question, but asked His own question.
This is precisely what Christ did here.
He did not answer the question.
Rather, He said what difference is it going to make to you,
what happens to John?
He then immediately focussed on the most important thing,
that the disciples needed to do.
This had absolutely nothing to do with the question.
Christ told them: ‘You just follow Me’.
Politely He told them ‘what happens to John is not your business’.
This a marvellously tackful, and truthful response.
There was a suggestion, that there was going to be something
different happening to the Apostle John.
‘If I will that he tarry till I come”,
is not an accident nor pointless comment,
Christ, and the entire bible does not use superfluous words.
The suggestion was that there was going to be an element of tarrying,
(that is waiting) involved.
John 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come,
what is that to thee? follow thou me.
As often happened, the disciples,
did not understand, what Christ was saying in the slightest.
They concluded that Christ had said that John, would not die.
John 21:23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren,
that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him,
He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come,
what is that to thee?
The normal lot of man is that all, at some point he will die.
However, there are exceptions, which we do not need
to address at this time.
Christ could not say that John would not die, because as one
of the witnesses, he would most surely die.
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony,
the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make
war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them
(The Two Witnesses).
Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street
of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt,
where also our Lord was crucified.
John 21:24 This is the disciple (John is here referring to himself)
which testifieth of these things,
and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
In our document The Arrival of One Witness, the point is made
that John will return in the clouds,
and that he will be accompanied by a bright spectacular light,
and that the sky world wide, will have dramatic clouds,
which we believe will be red and blue,
to announce this critical event worldwide.
This is a scenario that has never taken place before.
It will mark the beginning of the intervention of Christ
in the affairs of the world, with his two, witnesses,
and the manchild, which will be operating during
the Great Tribulation.
It will not be able to be confused, with the false teaching
of the Rapture, as no one will be ascending up to the clouds.
The apostle John is making his entrance to the earth.
Do I know where he is specific destination at that time?
Do I know precisely when this is going to happen?
The answer to both of these questions is,
No I do not know.
Like everyone else, I will have to wait and see.
Some background about the character of the Apostle John
The Apostle John, and John the Baptist are like mirror images
of each other.
We can get a glimpse of their characters.
John the Baptist was dressed like Elijah in rough clothing,
and he was a no nonsense person.
2 Kings 1:8 And they answered him, He (Elijah) was an hairy man,
and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins.
And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
Matthew 3:4 And the same John (The Baptist) had his raiment
of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins;
and his meat was locusts and wild honey..
This is how John the Baptist referred to the Pharisees
Matthew 3:7 ¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees
and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them,
O generation of vipers,
who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
John the Baptist confronted Herod about his adultery,
and he subsequently had him beheaded.
Matthew 14:1 ¶ At that time Herod the tetrarch heard
of the fame of Jesus,
Matthew 14:2 And said unto his servants,
This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead;
and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
Matthew 14:3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him,
and put him in prison
for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.
Matthew 14:4 For John said unto him,
It is not lawful for thee to have her.
The Apostle John and his Brother James, were amongst
the first disciples called by Christ.
They were both fishermen.
This was a very hard life.
This is the surname that Christ gave to both of them ‘Boanerges’.
This tells us a great deal about their character.
They were called sons of Thunder.
Severe thunder can be terrifying, the defeaning noise can
seriously shake people and buildings.
It terrified the Israelites, when Mosese received the
10 commandments, from the Eternal God on Mount Sinai
Mark 3:17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John
the brother of James;
and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
I believe that you will find that the two witnesses are
of similar character.
They will not be the wimps, which we witness today,
and associate with ‘Christianity’.
Rather they will be totally and genuinely Holy Spirit led.
They will be focussed, powerful, and fearless individuals,
with hands of steel in velvet gloves.
Revelation 11: 3 ¶ And I will give power unto my two witnesses,
and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred
and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
Revelation 11: 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two
candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
Revelation 11: 5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth
out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any
man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
Revelation 11: 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain
not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters
to turn them to blood,
and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
The question has been asked,
Are there any supporting verses in the bible regarding the Light?
This is a very good question.
Sometimes we can find that there are no supporting verses
in the Bible, for some activities, about which we are told.
If I am strongly stirred up to write a particular document,
there is no specific advice for this in the bible.
Here are some points to consider, regarding the arrival
of this great light.
The Apostle John in his gospel, spoke about Christ being
a great light, which was going to come into the world.
John the Baptist that he, (John, the Baptist), was not the light,
his purpose was to bear witness that Christ, the Creator God,
who was coming, was the Light of the world,
as these verses clearly show.
John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him
was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:10 He (Christ) was in the world,
and the world was made by him, (Christ)
and the world knew him (Christ) not.
Three times John the Baptist claims that he was a witness,
who was telling of the arrival of Christ.
It is quite interesting and probably very relevant that
it is the same apostle John, who is writing about a witness
appearing before Christ, made His entrance,
Now in a very similar situation, over 2,000 years later,
the Apostle John is going to anounce the start of the intervention
of Christ in the affairs of the world.
Please be very clear, this is not Christ’s return.
This starts the preparation for Christ’s return, which takes place
at a later time.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light,
that all men through him might believe.
John 1:8 He was not that Light,
but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man
that cometh into the world.
This is what Christ said about himself.
John 12:46 I am come a light into the world,
that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
This is what the apostle John said about Christ.
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him,
and declare unto you, that God is light,
and in him is no darkness at all.
The conclusion of the above is that Christ gave a witness,
of His arrival to the area, where He was going to do His work.
On this website, by a great number of documents,
in several languages, and hundreds of video clips,
we have been giving a witness about the spiritual condition
of Biblical Israel, and the impending severe punishment
of these very same nations.
This has been going on for many years.
It has been going across the entire earth.
China, Russia, Japan, all of Biblical Israel, the Vatican, Israel,
really everywhere, Asia, the Middle East, Africa,
South and Central America, etc., etc.
There are multitudes that have been to the website,
and multitudes who have watched the Youtube video clips.
All the people, who need to know have, and are being told.
The reason I am mentioning all these areas, is to show that
the arrival of the One Witness is going to be a worldwide
impacting event, therefore the witness has to go out across
the world. It is not going to be some secret event.
Sadly, and unfortunately as far as I know, there are not many
carrying out this warning witness.
Believers are supposed to be lights in a very dark world.
1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light,
and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness,
but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Romans 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide
of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.
Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness
of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness
as the stars for ever and ever.
It is my experience, that when the eyes of a person is opened
so that they get a glimpse of the full spiritual power in a person,
it terrifies them.
It is therefore possible, that some of the brightness of the cloud
actually emanates from the Apostle John himself,
as a warning not to trifle with him.
I do not expect that this condition of brightness will continue
whilst he carries out his commission.
It therefore should be no surprise,
that the arrival of the apostle John,
is in a spectacular sky, and with a magnificent bright cloud.
It will cause great panic and fear,
except for the few, who have read it on the website,
or heard about it.
At least they will be able to tell others.
Very few will have any idea what is going on,
and neither will they know what they should do,
or indeed, if there is something that they can do.
This event, will certainly qualify as a fearful sight,
and a great sign in the heavens, as stated
in the following verse.
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places,
and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights
and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Some will think that it is Christ returning.
Others will think that it is the Anti-Christ.
Some will think that it is an invasion of aliens from outer space,
as the basest of men leaders, have been priming people
to believe will happen, by movies, etc.
Most will just be confused and terrified.
The Eternal God does tend to warn people,
before judgment strikes.
The problem is that normally few, if any,
are prepared to pay any attention at all, to the Eternal God.
It is my feeling, that the vast majority of the world is by nature
atheistic, and that includes most, who believe that
they are ‘Christians’.
How can I be so daring, and bold to make such a comment?
Their conduct, betrays their true position,
whether they are leaders, or followers.
We are told that it is by their fruit that we will be able to know,
whether we are witnessing good or bad fruit.
Luke 6:43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit;
neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit.
For of thorns men do not gather figs,
nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
For those people who will say that we should not judge.
They should study the subject before commenting.
Judge not, means that we should not condemn others,
because it is unlikely that we have all the facts,
and we do not know the hearts of those being judged.
However, we are continuously making judgments,
we have to evaluate many things.
It is true to say that if the Christian community evaluated,
that is judged, their ‘Church’, and their ‘Pastors’, by whatsoever
name, they chose to present themselves,
the world would be in a much better state than it is today.
Document: Who Are You To Judge ?
This is what Christ said:
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance,
but judge righteous judgment.
You might ask where has the Apostle John been all this time?
I would say in the Bosom of Abraham, the place of Comfort.
It would most assuredly be the most awful wrench to return
from there to this wicked, and dying world.
Right now we are awaiting the spectacular and fearful
arriving arrival of the Apostle John in the shining cloud.
This is the sequence of the events which we are expecting,
long before the battle at Armageddon, which at present is
being touted by all and sundry, in the most strange and even
absurd ways. There are also other events before
the battle at Armageddon.
We do not need to concern ourselves with them at this time.
Armageddon is a place it is not an event.
This is what the Eternal God has told us.
(1) My shining light arrives.
(2) The 2 Witnesses come to the throne.
(3) The Wedding of the Manchild.
(4) The assignments, telling each of you, what you have to do,
when you return to the earth, is given to each of you.
(5) The battle against Satan and his demons.
(6) You will bring people to Me, your loved Father.
There is still a very little time for you to act.
I encourage you to do so, before it is too late.
