The Eternal God Is Not A Robotic Moron, On Whom We Make
Demands,
And Whom we Obey, As We Like, And When It Is Convenient To Do
So.
Christ Is Our Living, Loving, Personal Saviour. There Is No Other.
Christ Is The Solution To All Our Problems. There

One Mediator between God and men,
The Man, Christ Jesus.

Why Peace Evade Us
By Peter James from:

Worldwide, politicians of all persuasions keep speaking about
‘Peace’.
We have Peace Envoys, like Tony Blair, making himself a
considerable
fortune by all his various activities.
We have a Nobel Peace Prize, which President Obama was given,
for what he would do for Peace, rather than what he had done
for Peace.
We have endless Peace Conferences, Peace Demonstrations,
Peace Marches,
yet Peace is actually further away than it has ever been.
In spite of what we like to believe it is not within the
heart of man,
to be peaceful.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is
deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
You might say, well, I am a
‘Christian’, so that does not apply to me.
This is what the apostle said was the condition of
Christians,
at our time right now.
2 Timothy 3:1 ¶ This know also,
that in the last days perilous
times shall come.
2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be
lovers of their own selves,
covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents,
unthankful, unholy,
2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural
affection, trucebreakers,
false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those
that are good,
2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady,
highminded, lovers of pleasures
more than lovers of God;
2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power
thereof: from such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are
they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with
divers lusts,
2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and
never able to come
to the knowledge of the truth.
If this is the condition of
Christians, what do you think
is the condition of
non-Christians?
Peace in families is a very rare thing.
What we have is tolerance.
It is a matter of enduring.
There is no peace and harmony amongst the churches,
in governments, business, industry, in fact in any area of
life.
Even when countries join to fight wars,
they are always arguing with each other.
This confusion is a basic sympton of Satan’s government,
in the spiritual and physical realm.
The outward veneer, might well appear calm and peaceful,
the reality is very different.
Babylon, means confusion, and I can assure you that,
not only are the governments of the world in confusion,
but the Vatican is in chaos, with cardinals lying,
fighting against each other, even orchestrating murder
if they consider it necessary.
See David Yallop’s book: “The Power and The Glory”, for
details
What is certain is that you would be very hard pressed
to find any situation, where there is genuine Peace.
There are specific reasons why we do not ,and cannot have
Peace.
The primary reason is
that we have rejected the Prince of Peace,
and the King of Peace, which is none other than the Eternal
God.
You can also see that Christ and the Father are one and
the same.
This is in the Old Testament.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child
is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince
of Peace.
In the New Testament, we see precisely the very same
thing,
that Christ and the Father are one, and the same.
Therefore the interchange in between Christ and the
Father,
takes place seamlessly, and in just a few words.
We are told that Christ is Melchisedec, the Prince of
Peace.
We are then told that Melchisedec is
The King of Salem,
The King of Righteousness,
The King Peace.
Hebrews 6:20 Whither the
forerunner is for us entered
even Jesus,
made an high priest for ever after
the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 7:1 ¶ For this Melchisedec, king of Salem,
priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from
the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
Hebrews 7:2 To whom also
Abraham gave a tenth part of all;
first being by interpretation King of righteousness,
and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Hebrews 7:3 Without father,
without mother, without descent,
having neither beginning of days, nor end of life;
but made like unto the
Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
A position and a job title including the word ‘peace’,
is quite meaningless.
By definition it must fail.
These scriptures clearly tell us that Christ is Peace.
Therefore if we do not have Christ in us, we can
never have Peace.
How are we going to have Christ in us?
A converted person, who has repented and accepted
Christ,
is given a new heart.
We have to understand that science is now telling us,
that the heart is not simpy a physical mechanical pump,
but somehow it also handles emotions!
So instead of a heart like stone, without emotions,
we have been given a heart that has feelings, and
emotions
for others and not just for ourselves.
Our damaged spirit, is replaced by a new undamaged
human spirit.
The result is that we are now able to have the Holy
Spirit dwell in us.
This is the
second reason:
Up until genuine conversion, we were only influenced
externally,
by the Holy Spirit.
This first happened at the Feast of Pentecost.
Christ told his disciples to wait
for the arrival of the Holy Spirit,
which would empower and completely
change them.
Luke 24:49
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you:
but tarry ye in the city of
Jerusalem,
until ye be endued with power from
on high.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both
in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the
earth.
Note at Pentecost the disciples
gathered with one accord,
and they were also in one place,
and they received the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:1 ¶ And when the day of Pentecost was fully come,
they were all with one accord in
one place.
Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven
as of a rushing mighty wind, and
it filled all the house
where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues
like as of fire, and it sat upon
each of them.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy
Ghost,
and began to speak with other
tongues, (Other genuine
languages)
as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Now Christ as the Holy Spirit literally dwells in
us.
Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart
also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within you:
and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh,
and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put
my spirit within you, and cause you
to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments,
and do them.
There is a parallel verse, which I often quote.
Both verses explain that once Christ dwells in us,
we are then able to obey our Eternal God,
but there is something different also.
All genuine believers are given
one heart.
This means that if you cannot get along with genuine believers,
it is questionable, whether you are converted or not.
Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give
them one
heart,
and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the
stony heart
out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:
Ezekiel 11:20 That they may
walk in my statutes,
and keep mine
ordinances, and do them:
and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
One heart means that we will be of
one accord,
that is harmony, in our relationship
with each other,
we will have the same mindset, in
all the things that really matter.
Our individuality is not
compromised in any way.
We are neither robots, nor puppets
on a string.
We will defer to each other, and
have genuine concern
for each other, with no strings
attached.
We will support each other in
every possible way.
It will be our normal nature.
Sometimes we might have to agree
to differ.
This will be the very opposite to Jeremiah
17:9,
which we quoted earlier.
Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my
joy, that ye be likeminded,
having the same love, being of one accord, of one
mind.
Sadly there are occasions when people choose to separate
themselves from genuine believers.
This is the reason.
1 John 2:19 They went out
from us, but they were not of us;
for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have
continued with us:
but they went out, that they might be made manifest
that they were not all of us.
Hopefully as the times become more difficult,
we will become of one heart, one mind, and one accord,
and actually experience, the Peace, which passess our
understanding.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace
of God, which passeth
all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.
