Ordinances And Their Consequences
By Peter James from:

Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances
that was against us, which
was contrary to us,
and took it out of the way,
nailing it to his cross;
What is an ordinance?
An ordinance can be Statute.
It can be a law.
It can be a commandment.
It can be a decree.
It can be a judgment.
It can be anything that we want it
to be.
It can be a tradition.
It can be a rule.
Ordinances have conseqences, whether they are from God
or from men.
In either of these situations, the penalty can be
death.
How many types of ordinances are there?
There are two major categories.
(1) There
are ordinances from the Eternal God.
(a) These are all the commandments, Statutes, and Judgments,
of the Eternal God.
(b) There are ordinances, which were directly related
to the physical Temple in
Jerusalem.
As there is no physical Temple
today, these commandments
cannot be carried out, but they
will be carried out in the future,
when Christ sets up His kingdom,
and rules the world from
Jerusalem, where a clean and New
Temple will be built.
The reason they will be carried
out, is that all men have to learn
the lesson, that each person’s
individual sin, was responsible
for the death of Christ, from the
time of Adam and Eve,
until the last human being is
born.

Festivals Will All Be Implemented When Christ Returns
What is really pertinent to us
today is that
genuine believers, are “The
Living Temple” of God today.
1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God,
him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy,
which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your
body is the temple
of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye
have of God,
and ye are not your own?
Ordinances of God are totally
impartial, and no account is
taken of sex, wealth or status of
the offender.
Ordinances of God, which earn the death penalty,
which is the just judgment, which we have earned from
committing sin.
(2) There
are ordinances from men.
In the case of ordinances of men, which earn the death
penalty,
they can be utterly wrong, an abomination and sin.
Ordinances of men can be unfair, and subject to bribes,
favouritism, and the like.
With such a very wide range of definitions, as mentioned
above,
we can see that it is very easy
for the worst abominations,
of men can be regarded as
ordinances.
Probably the worst abominations of
ordinances on the planet,
can be found in the Babylonian Talmud, which is promoted
by the Talmudic Rabbincal Jews,
but unknown to most people,
is ruthlessly practised, worldwide, by the Biblical Israelite
nations.
The Talmudic ordinances sanction
the vilest perversions,
and it isoutrageously blasphemous,
and breaks all the commandments,
which are ordinances.

It is inevitable that ordinances of men, which are an
abomination,
will contravene the ordinances of God, which are Holy,
and Righteous.
We should also not confuse God’s Patience and Mercy,
with our ‘righteousness’, which is as filthy rags.
Neither should we think that Grace, is license to sin.
Probably the most absurd
ordinances are those
by the Talmudic Rabbinical Jews,
when they put
a fence around the laws of the Eternal God, to supposedly
stop people breaking the
commandments.
Here are some of the ordinances to
protect the Sabbath.
Touch not; taste not; handle not
Things you cannot do:
Food prepared by Jews in a manner
that violates the (Sabbath)
may not be eaten until the Sabbath is
over
Many vegetarian restaurants and
producers of vegetarian foods acquire a hechsher,
certifying that a Rabbinical organization has approved their products as being
kosher. The hechsher usually certifies that certain vegetables have been
checked for insect infestation and steps have been taken to ensure that cooked
food meets the requirements of bishul
Yisrael. Vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower
must be checked for insect infestation. The proper procedure for inspecting and
cleaning varies by species, growing conditions, and views of individual rabbis.

A further small selection of
things you cannot do:
Apply makeup
Rub Soap to make lather
Apply Face Cream
Add cold milk directly to hot tea
or coffee.
Remove bad fruit from amongst good
fruit.
Touch money
Touch pencils and pens
Touch a radio, CD, flashlight,
telephones, computers, etc.
Here is the farcical abomination.
You can observe all of the above, plus the hundreds of
other
rabbinical ordinances, but in the very next breath
you can kill another human being, as easily as swatting
a fly,
and you can have just as much guilt as you felt when
you
swatted the fly into oblivion.
The commandment, ‘Thou
shalt not kill’,
goes right out of the window.
Like all of the ten commandments,
as long as man exists, they will
exist.
The reality is that unrighteous,
filthy people cannot
make righteous ordinances.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an
unclean thing,
and all our
righteousnesses are as filthy rags;
and we all do fade as a leaf; and our
iniquities,
like the wind, have taken us away.
The parents of John the baptist, were devout people.
Zacharias was a priest and his wife was Elizabeth,
the cousin of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ.
This is the wonderful comendation to this couple.
Luke 1:6
And they were both righteous before God,
walking in all the commandments
and ordinances of
the Lord blameless.
Keeping the commandments and ordinances,
made the Eternal God declare them blameless.
When the apostle Paul was writing
to the church in Corinth,
he told them to make sure that
they keep the ordinances,
which he had explained to them.
Yet the writings of Paul, more
than any other writer
in the New Testament are used to
argue that
the commandments no longer apply.
It is absurd.
1 Corinthians 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren,
that ye remember me in all
things,
and keep the ordinances,
as I
delivered them to you.
So it is clear that the
idea, that commandments, laws and
ordinances are no longer
applicable, is not true.
The Ordinances of God v The Ordinances of Men.
As you would expect, ordinances
from the Eternal God,
will always overule the ordinances
from men.
Here is an example
In many countries spanking
children is forbidden,
and is punishable by imprisonment,
or even loss of your children.
The Eternal God states:
Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son:
but he that loveth him chasteneth
him betimes.
Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom:
but a child left to himself
bringeth his mother to shame.
Proverbs 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child:
for if thou beatest him with the
rod, he shall not die.
Proverbs 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod,
and shalt deliver his soul from
hell.
These ordinances are given by the
Eternal God.
This is not speaking about
‘Abusing Children.
As The LORD made man, He should
know how we should bring
up children.
What is certain is that many children, and adults, who
were not
disciplined in their youth, are totally out of control.
The result is that the world is
teetering on the brink of destruction,
and if Christ does not intervene,
no flesh will be saved alive.

We need to be very careful, that
we do not allow carelessness,
in our study of the Word of God to confuse the
ordinances
of God, with ordinances of men.
The result of carelessness is that
we can find ourselves,
actually in rebellion against the
Most High God.
In these verses, the apostle Paul is speaking about the
ordinances
of men. He is not speaking about clean and unclean
meat,
as some would like to believe, because that subject is
dealt with
by ordinances of the Eternal God, in Leviticus
Chapter 11.
Colossians 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the
rudiments
of the world, why, as though
living in the world,
are ye subject to ordinances,
Colossians 2:21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
Colossians 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;)
after the
commandments and doctrines of men?
Colossians 2:23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom
in will worship, and humility, and
neglecting of the body;
not in any honour to the
satisfying of the flesh.
Paul is saying, why is it after you have given up
materialism,
when you were called, and came out of Satan’s
Babylonian system,
that you are now adopting practices of men, which
appear to be
good, and even wise, but they are just useless going
through
the motions activities, as those mentioned above as the
fence
around the Sabbath.
When we examined the Fence which was built around
the Sabbath, which is just one commandment,
there many hundreds of other ordinances,
which are supposed to protect the
commandments/ordinances
of God, we saw how th e whole concept is absurd.
The ordinances of God, do not need any further
ordinances to protect them.
In fact this is an evil Satanic ruse, because it gives
the false notion,
that we could keep the commandments, without the Holy
Spirit.
This is an outright lie.
The conclusion of the matter is that if this fence, of
additional ordinances
could do what they claim, there is no need for Christ,
whom they reject and abhor anyway.
They also abhor, Christians, and the New Testament.
The New Testament makes it clear that sin starts in the
mind,
therefore there is absolutely no physical act,
which can control the activities of the mind.
Matthew 15:19 For out of the
heart proceed evil thoughts, murders,
adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
He put it to Timothy like this:
2 Timothy 3:5
Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
You can carry out all the hundreds of Rabbinical
ordinances, and you will still have all these character
traits, which lead to a form of godliness.
2 Timothy 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days
perilous times shall come.
2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves,
covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy,
2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers,
false accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those
that are good,
2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than
lovers of God;
Precisely what was nailed to the Cross, when Christ
died?
Were there a set of commandments, and laws from the
Old Testament nailed to the cross to show that they
were abolished?
According to this verse, the centrality of what took
place on the cross,
was all wrapped up in the body of Christ.
It was the
body of Christ that was nailed to the cross.
It was the
body of Christ which made us one with Him,
and our
Father in heaven.
To clarify the repentant person is one part of the
‘Two’,
the other part of the ‘Two’ is Christ.
A human is made up of two parts, a body and a human
spirit.
The two parts together make up one body.
Although there are two parts, we only see one body.
Similarly the human body is a composite whole,
that is one part of the two parts,
but when Christ dwells in us as the Holy Spirit,
we now have an entirely different Spirit in us,
this is the second part of the two,
but there is still only one body,
therefore the two are one.
Before conversion we were led by the Holy Spirit,
externally, but after conversion, the Holy Spirit
dwells in us, thus we are the Temple of God.
Because we are in Christ and Christ is in us,
this is how we can be dwelling in heavenly places
whilst we are still alive on the earth.
Christ is on His throne in heaven.
Ephesians 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh
the enmity,
even the law of
commandments contained in ordinances;
for to make in himself of
twain one new man, so making peace;
Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
being made a curse for us: for it is written,
Cursed is every one that hangeth
on a tree:
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin
for us,
who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
It is clearly stated that Sin brings the death penalty
on us,
and Eternal Life is a gift from our Eternal Father in
heaven.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:10 For in that he (Christ) died, he (Christ) died unto sin once:
but in that he liveth, he liveth
unto God.
1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of
death is sin;
and the strength of sin is the law.
The conclusion of the matter is this.
The death of Christ on the Stake had many very important,
and critical consequences for All True Believers.
We can think of all of these as nice sounding intellectual
parables,
but they are actually reality.
Romans 5:13 (For until the
law sin was in the world:
but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
It is the law
which convicted us of sin.
1 John 3:4 Whosoever
committeth sin transgresseth also the law:
for sin
is the transgression of the law.
Christ was the perfect sacrifice.
1 Peter 2:22 Who (Christ) did no sin, neither was guile found in
his mouth:
When Christ died on the Stake, and shed His blood,
the barrier, which resulted from sin,
and created the enmity, which separated us from the Father,
was abolished.
It was completely destroyed.
As a result the two, which are made up of
Christ and converted human beings
were now made into one new man.
Ephesians 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity,
even the law of
commandments contained in ordinances;
for to make in himself of
twain one new man, so making peace;
Christ stepped in and paid the penalty demanded by the
law,
therefore the enmity, which resulted from the law, was
removed,
so that we could be one with Christ.
Ephesians 2:16 And that he
might reconcile both unto God
in one body by the cross, having slain the
enmity thereby:
The law still exists, and will still demand the death
penalty,
whenever we sin, but now the price has been paid.
So in effect we have a clean sheet.
Christ dwelling in us will tend to make it more
difficult for us to sin,
but of course it is possible to sin,
but now we have access to confess our sin, and have it
forgiven.
A truly converted person is given a new human spirit,
in which the Holy Spirit can dwell.
The Eternal God cannot dwell in a corrupted human
spirit.
Hearts are not only pumps, but they deal with emotions.
Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit (human spirit) will I put
within you: and I will take away
the stony heart out of your flesh,
and I will give you an heart of
flesh.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit (Holy Spirit) within you,
and cause you to walk in my
statutes,
and ye shall keep my judgments,
and do them.
This is something that only could happen after
Pentecost,
when Christ came as the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
Therefore these scriptures were not fulfilled in the
Old Testament,
but in the New Testament.
Acts 2:1 ¶ And when the
day of Pentecost was fully come,
they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 2:2 And suddenly
there came a sound from heaven
as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house
where they were sitting.
Acts 2:3 And there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire,
and it sat upon each of them.
Acts 2:4 And they were
all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, (Valid
Languages)
as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Document: Speaking In Tongues is not of God.
The Holy Spirit is the major tool
for being one with The Eternal God.
We have to be careful that we do not walk down the
road of wilfully sinning out of pure rebellion, because
from
that situation there is no way back, as we put Christ
to
open shame, by diminishing the value of His great
sacrifice.
Hebrews 6:6
If they shall fall away, to renew them again
unto repentance; seeing they
crucify to themselves
the Son of God afresh, and put him
to an open shame.
We can now see what this verse
means:
The laws were against us, because we sinned.
The ordinances remain, and will convict us of sin
everytime we sin, but now the penalty that the
commandments demanded, which is death,
has been blotted out by Christ, when He died on the
cross.
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out
the handwriting of ordinances
that was against us, which was contrary to us,
and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Having been united with Christ,
these events are all now reality.
These events have already taken place.
It is stated in the past tense, ‘hath made’, which is past tense.
(1) We are now Kings and Priests.
The fact that most of us are not experiencing this lifestyle,
is because of us, and not a fault of our Eternal God.
Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and
priests unto God
and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and
ever.
Amen.
Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God
kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth.
(2) We have
already been blessed with all spiritual blessings.
Ephesians
1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ:
(3) We
are already sitting in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
Ephesians
2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ
Jesus:
Regardless of our condition, we should
be experiencing ‘Peace’.
The reason is that
the King of Peace and the Prince of Peace
now dwells in us.
It is a reality.
If this is not the
case, then we ought to examine ourselves and
see, where we are
falling short.
Be courageous and
see what you need to change.
Your physical
circumstances might not change,
but the way you deal
with them can change.
Philippians
4: 6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto
God.
Philippians
4: 7 And the
peace of God, which passeth all
understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
