Forgiveness And Confession

This verse is used by the Roman Catholic Church to justify

the abomination of auricular confession.

Because Christ said these words to His disciples they tell their followers,

that the bible supports this doctrine.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them,

and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them;

and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Let it be clearly understood that there is no verse in the bible that supports

anything at all that the great harlot, Babylon, the Roman Catholic Church

teaches. Every doctrine is out of the pit of hell.

It is a fact that the bible is not the foundation on which the Roman Catholic

church bases its doctrines. Their foundations are the ‘Traditions’, the writings

of the ‘Holy Fathers’, and the utterances of their ‘Infallible Pope’.

It is quite common for religions to have an authority that is superior

to the ‘Word of God’.

The Jehovah Witnesses, have their Awake and Watchtower magazines,

and their own perverted translation of the bible.

The Mormons have the book of Mormon and the writings of Joseph Smith.

The way to study the bible is as follows.

1. First get a decent copy of the Holy Bible, such as the King James Bible

of 1611, not one of the many, which have been compiled from the corrupted

texts of Satanists, like Westcott and Hort.

2. Humble oneself and then seek the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

3. Get all the scriptures related to the subject,

and study the subject as a whole.

4. You do not need any priest to tell you what it means,

you can see it for yourself.

The mechanics of sin.

(a) When we sin, first and foremost we sin against the Eternal God.

(b) It is important to realise that we also sin against our fellow man.

(c) Forgiveness for our sins by the Eternal God, is directly related

to the fact that we have already forgiven those who have

sinned against us.

If we do not forgive we will not be forgiven.

It is as simple as that.

The response to sin is repentance, not penance.

We repent first to the Eternal God,

but before we approach the Eternal God, we have to already

have forgiven the one who has done us wrong.

If we do not do that we will not be forgiven.

This is precisely explained in what is called the ‘Lord’s prayer,

which is the prayer outline that we should use when we pray,

to it is not really the Lord’s prayer at all.

Luke 11:4 And forgive us our sins;

for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.

And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Can you see any mention of going to confess to some human being,

who is not involved in the sin, in what is being said?

Of course not.

It is speaking about confessing to the one whom we have wronged.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful

and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Note so far we are only using the direct words of Christ.

This is not speaking to priests or clergy.

Christ is making sure that we get the point by saying,

(1) You all pay attention – that is take heed to yourselves.

Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves:

(2) If

If thy brother trespass against thee,

rebuke him; and

if he repent,

forgive him.

Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses,

your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,

neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

This is very easy to say, but I assure you that it is physically impossible,

without the empowerment of the Eternal God.

Just going up to some altar call, running to some church, or isolating

yourself in the hope that somehow it will all go away, will not do it.
