A Famine Of The Word

Right now we are in the midst of a very serious worldwide spiritual famine,

and most are ignorant of this fact.

It is because there is a spiritual worldwide famine, that people are running

all over the place desperately trying to find some spiritual food.

They are running and finding nothing.

If they do think that they have found something worthwhile,

sadly like a mirage in the desert, it vanishes before their very eyes.

Disillusioned and frustrated many give up on God completely.

Ezekiel 34: 5 And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd:

and they became meat to all the beasts of the field,

when they were scattered.

Ezekiel 34: 6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains,

and upon every high hill:

yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth,

and none did search or seek after them.

Many will attend church meetings that are totally devoid of anything related

to the Eternal God.

They mistakenly believe that somehow this will give them some spiritual

brownie points.

The reality is that this does no such thing.

What can these poor lost people do?

In desperate search for spiritual food, many spend a vast amount of time

surfing the Internet hoping to pick up some spiritual crumbs,

and that is what they usually get, just crumbs.

What appears to be hopeful, usually turns out to be quite unprofitable.

Others spend large amounts of money traveling thousands of miles,

hoping to get some spiritual sustenance.

Many hope for healing for themselves, or their loved ones,

from a supposed ‘Man of God’,

who is either living, or visiting the distant land for some type of “spirit filled”

convention, where the fire of God will impart them with the power for revival

which they crave.

Some hope to bring back with them, to their home area,

the anointing from the conference to ignite the fire of revival in their local area.

The sad result is that in almost every single case they return empty handed,

with absolutely nothing to show for their sincere efforts,

except a depleted bank account.

The following verses say just that, and they also state that their journey

will be totally fruitless.

If they only had read these verses they could have saved their money,

their time and their trouble.

Amos 8:11 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD,

that I will send a famine in the land,

not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,

but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Amos 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea,

and from the north even to the east,

they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

This lack of spiritual sustenance will leave even the young men and women,

spiritually starved.

Amos 8:13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

The Eternal God does not have to speak to us all the time,

Sometimes He keeps quiet just to see how we will respond to His silence.

Will we get in a huff, and bellyache?

What will we do?

Because He has chosen not to respond when we want Him to,

does not mean that He has forsaken us, because He told us that

He would not do this,

and He is always faithful to His word.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness;

and be content with such things as ye have:

for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

The most likely cause for silence from the Eternal God is our rebellion

against Him.

This is precisely what happened to Saul.

He tried to enquire of the LORD, but got no response,

simply because he was very rebellious.

1 Samuel 28:6 And when Saul enquired of the LORD,

the LORD answered him not,

neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

Saul’s response to silence was to increase his rebellion.

He went against the very laws that he had passed, and in despair he got

involved with witchcraft, in order to obtain the answers that he earnestly

desired, in order to know how to cope with his very serious situation.

1 Samuel 28:7 ¶ Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that

hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her.

And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath

a familiar spirit at Endor.

Saul explained his dilemma to the spirit of Samuel.

We know that this is of the Eternal God, as Samuel was doing his very

same role, as he had done when he was alive.

1 Samuel 28:15 ¶ And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me,

to bring me up?

And Saul answered, I am sore distressed;

for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me,

and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams:

therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me

what I shall do.

Samuel told Saul that not only had the Lord had departed from him,

because he did not obey Him

but that the Eternal God had become his enemy.

It would be very difficult for anyone to hear worse news.

1 Samuel 28:16 Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me,

seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?

Samuel also prophesied the death of Saul and his sons the very next day,

and the defeat by the Philistine Army.

. . . . . .

1 Samuel 28:19 Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into

the hand of the Philistines: and tomorrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me:

(this was not heaven, but rather the holding place of the spirits of the dead,

which was divided into a place of torment, and a place of comfort,

as explained in Luke Chapter 16:19 . . . . . )

the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel

into the hand of the Philistines.

The end result of this was that the Eternal God did indeed answer Saul,

but not in the way expected.

Now we see that Saul and his sons died with him, just as Samuel had said.

The fact that precisely what ‘Samuel’ said took place,

proves that this was not a demon masquerading as Samuel,

as some churches teach, but rather it was the spirit of Samuel, which the

Eternal God sent to Samuel to tell him the judgment, which had been passed

on him.

1 Samuel 31:3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him;

and he was sore wounded of the archers.

1 Samuel 31:4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword,

and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust

me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not;

for he was sore afraid.

Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

1 Samuel 31:5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead,

he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.

1 Samuel 31:6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer,

and all his men, that same day together.

This shows the extraordinary lengths that someone would go to in order

to hear from God.

What has this to do with a famine of the Word of God?

Answer: Everything.

My question is this.

What is the difference between what Saul did, and those who travel all

the way to Florida, or Toronto or elsewhere to see people like Benny Hinn,

Todd Bentley, etc. etc. ?

Answer: In a sense nothing really, they have just been deceived.

Many people think that Todd Bentley is a man of God, and they travel

thousands of miles to hear him, and get whatever it is that he has to give.

There are several like him.

Is this how a man of God would look?

This is precisely where we are today.

You have to seek very long, and very hard to find anyone who has any idea

about the Eternal God, and what He requires.

There are certainly not too many of them around.

Ezekiel 7:26

Mischief shall come upon mischief, and

rumour shall be upon rumour;

then shall they seek a vision of the prophet;

but the law shall perish from the priest,

and counsel from the ancients.

In addition to the many curses which we are rapidly accumulating

as if they are riches, I have recently shown that there can be a drought

on the works of our hands.

Haggai 1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land,

and upon the mountains, and upon the corn,

and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground

bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle,

and upon all the labour of the hands.

It is clear that we have boxed ourselves into a corner.

The question is whether there is a way out of this disastrous situation.

Yes there is.

The answer is the very same as we state on all of our documents and videos.

How far do you have to travel to resolve the problem?

Answer: nowhere.

We already have inbuilt into us the profitable way of life.

Unfortunately we have snuffed it out and inevitably end up doing precisely

the opposite to what we should be doing.

Deuteronomy 30:11 ¶ For this commandment which I command thee

this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

Deuteronomy 30:12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say,

Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us,

that we may hear it, and do it?

Deuteronomy 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say,

Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us,

that we may hear it, and do it?

Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth,

and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Once Christ has become the centrality of your life,

all your searching will be at an end.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:

he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and

he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

As I showed there will come a time when you will not find someone to help

you in your search for the Eternal God.

This is what His word says, however as there is still a very little time,

it is critical that you focus your energies on the things that matter,

and seek the Eternal God, whilst He can still be found.

Because we are almost at the time when you certainly

will not find Him, nor His servants.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found,

call ye upon him while he is near:

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth,

which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness:

it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

If you seek Him early, you will find Him, and you will never be hungry or thirsty.

Christ went on to say:

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you,

He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

What does this mean?

Does it mean, that if I go to my church meeting, and I say I believe

in Jesus Christ, that I have everlasting life?

Certainly it does not.

If you came into my kitchen whilst I am cooking, and I said please pass

the pressure cooker for me, be careful it is hot. Do not touch the dial.

You have observed that the fire was not light under the cooker,

and it certainly did not look hot.

If your curiosity got the better of you ,and you turned the knob

what would happen?

At the very least you would be blasted by pressurised steam, or some of the

boiling contents might eject all over the place, resulting in serious burns.

If you had actually believed what I had said, you would never have done

what you did, and you would not have had a problem.

Belief demands obedience.

When you see a traffic light saying Stop, if you believe that it is a traffic light,

but you do not believe the message it is saying, that is Stop,

you might kill not only yourself, but also other innocent people.

This is our basic problem, many acknowledge that Christ exists,

but few are prepared to actually obey what He has told us to do.

Christ then said some things that appear very strange.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven:

if any man eat of this bread,

he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh,

which I will give for the life of the world.

His listeners found what He said profoundly disturbing.

John 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying,

How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

These verses of the Bible have led the Roman Catholic Church down

the road of ‘Transubstantiation’, where they claim, that the bread and wine

used in the Mass, is literally changed into the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

This of course means that any one partaking of the bread and wine

at the Mass, is actually eating flesh and blood, which is part and parcel

of the occult, and by this I mean the activities of secret organisations.

John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,

Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood,

ye have no life in you.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life;

and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

Christ explained precisely what He meant in the following verse which

is overlooked.

The last part of the verse explains it for us.

It is all related to Christ as the Holy Spirit dwelling in us,

and we dwelling in Him.

The fact that Christ is dwelling in us, and we are dwelling in Him,

that is what is eating the flesh of Christ and drinking His blood means.

In other words He becomes an integral part of us,

and we become an integral part of Him

John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me,

and I in him.

It is further explained that we are the temple of God and He dwells in us.

The apostle Paul explains it and so does Christ Himself.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,

and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?

for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them,

and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,

because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;

for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me:

because I live, ye shall live also.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me,

and I in you.

Jesus made it quite clear in this same discourse, that He was not speaking

about matters of the flesh, but rather about matters of the far more

important thing, matters of the spirit.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:

the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

We have seen that there is going to be a famine of the Word of God.

We have seen that we should seek the Eternal God,

whilst He can still be found.

We have seen that the only way to survive the famine is to be in Christ,

and for Him to be in you.

The hour is very late.

I can add, that I do not believe for a moment that the statistics are accurate.

They do not make sense, just as our Rhema confirmed long ago that

the statistics are inaccurate.

Isaiah 30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity,

and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed

into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:

Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying,

This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand,

and when ye turn to the left.
