The
Holy Bible Is The Immutable Living Word Of The Eternal God.
The Only
Bible we Recommend Is The King James / A.V. Bible.
Here’s the reason, shocking but enlightening truth: The
Bible Is Used To Deceive
Leviticus
26:17
And I will set my face against you, and
ye shall be slain before your enemies:
they that hate you shall reign over
you; and
ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
Ezekiel 20:26 ……
that I might make them
desolate, to the end
that they might know that I am the LORD.
A Message From Peter James
The Holy Spirit Is God.
The Holy Spirit Is Not A Power.
God is Holy
Psalms
99:9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his
holy hill;
for the LORD our God is holy.
God is a Spirit.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must
worship him in spirit and in truth.
It would be quite accurate to say that The Eternal God is
Holy Spirit.
It takes spirit to communicate with Spirit.
In order to bridge the gap, we have a mediator Jesus
Christ, who is both God and man.
Many of unsound mind, claim that they are also a mediator
between God and man.
This is heresy, whether this is claimed by an individual
or a group, it is sin.
The Roman Catholic Church claims that Mary is a
mediatrix with Christ.
This is blasphemy.
The Apostle Paul said:
Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and
one mediator between God and men,
the
man Christ Jesus;
Christ could see that the Holy Spirit was then, and would
be a huge stumbling block.
He said that sins against the Holy Ghost, which means
exactly the same thing,
will not be forgiven.
Matthew
12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin
and blasphemy shall be forgiven
unto men: but the
blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Matthew
12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the
Son of man,
it
shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost,
it
shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world
to come.
If the Holy Spirit is just a power I do not believe
that such a statement would be made,
but the Holy
Spirit is purely God without any human interface.
We should
therefore be very careful how we regard the Holy Spirit/Ghost and what we
ascribe
to Him.
I would worry a great deal if I said that the Eternal God
is acting as the lowest
of the creatures which He created, o r any similar thing.
To claim that barking like a dog is of the Holy Spirit,
does not by any stretch of the imagination glorify the
Eternal God, but rather debases Him.
I cannot stress too much how careful we need to be.
If someone is a genuine servant of The Eternal God, and
the genuine servant of the Most High God,
is then accused of serving Satan rather than the Lord, I
see this as a very serious problem.
Of course we should not get into this position because
we should carefully consider the fruit,
and seek guidance on the matter, rather than pouring
forth accusation based on emotion.
There are countless aspects of the Eternal God,
but that does not make God multiple personalities.
God is our Father.
God is Holy.
God is Righteous.
God is Saviour.
God is Creator.
God is Law Giver
God is the Giver of life.
God is Perfect.
God is Peace.
God is all Powerful.
God is all Knowing.
God is omnipotent.
God is our Healer.
etc., etc.
But He is still just one God.
My children know me as father.
My work colleagues knew me as someone who worked with
computers.
Others knew me as someone who conducted choirs.
Others knew me as a gardener.
etc. etc.
The various groups might not have known anything at all
about my other
activities, but at the end of the day I was just one
person.
My children and close family would know the different
aspects
of the person who is me.
In my experience almost all of the churches that I have
encountered have regarded
the Holy Spirit as a Power.
This teaching is not in the bible.
As I have just stated the Eternal God is all powerful.
The power of God is an attribute of the Lord, it is not
something separate from Him.
It is true that as the apostle Paul said we only see
through a glass darkly.
1
Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know
even as also I am known.
So we can be assured that regarding the Eternal God our
ideas, and our understanding
will be very limited. However, this does not mean that we
have to create our own
reality, because of our limited knowledge.
There is no shame in acknowledging that we do not know.
The bible clearly states that there is one God, and it
means what it says.
Jesus said, and he should know:
Mark
12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel;
The Lord our God is one Lord:
The
Apostle James said it is good that you believe that but that is not such
a big deal as even the devils believe that. They know
it from their experience.
James 2:19 Thou believest
that there is one God; thou doest well:
the devils also believe, and tremble.
When they were going to stone the Deacon
Stephen what did he see when the heavens opened?
Acts 7:55 But he, being full
of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven,
and saw the glory of
God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man
standing
on the right hand of God.
Here
there is no direct mention of the Holy Spirit occupying a separate place
in the heavens.
Analogies
always quickly break down, but here is one anyway.
Let us say that God is a massive block of
magnetized steel.
Any piece of iron coming into contact with this steel
will automatically be magnetised.
It is inevitable.
The piece of iron does not become the magnetized steel,
but it has dramatically been
changed. I believe that under normal circumstances it
will not lose its magnetism.
It has the same qualities of the block of steel, but it
might only be able to lift
things like pins and needles, as opposed to
objects of several tons.
What is certain is that they are of the same type.
We will be of the same type as God as we become His
children, but the gulf between Him
and us will not only always be gigantic but also
completely unbridgeable.
Those who teach that we will become God as God is simply nonsense.
You cannot take away the quality of
magnetism and still have a block of steel
with the same qualities.
Neither can you take away any of the attributes of the
Eternal God, and still have ‘God’.
God by definition is all powerful, but you
cannot separate His power from Him,
and still have God.
The idea that you go to a meeting and you
effectively ‘pray down the power of God’,
is quite false.
Just
like the small piece of iron you are either magnetised or you are not.
You either have the Holy Spirit or you do
not.
Of course it is possible for the Eternal God to pour
out more of His Spirit
on a person as He chooses, for whatever
reason.
It is not a matter of going to a meeting, and
somehow becoming ‘slain in the spirit’,
and all these other things that take place.
What was the power that was in action in Genesis chapter 1?
Was it just the power of God floating around doing this
that and the other?
We are told that Christ the Creator spoke, and
it was the power of His word,
which brought everything into
existence.
Psalms
33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens
made;
and all the host of them by
the breath of his mouth.
Genesis
1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created
the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was
upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was
light.
These
three verses are all referring to exactly the same God.
Verse
1 tells us that in the very beginning long before the recreation with Adam and
Eve,
God
created the heaven and the earth.
We know that this is Christ from John chapter 1.
John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any
thing made that was made.
Jeremiah
10:12 He hath made the earth by his power,
he hath
established the world by his wisdom,
and hath stretched out the heavens by his
discretion.
This
same God is mentioned in:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us
a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall
be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Verse 2 tells
us that at a much later time when the original perfect creation had resulted
in
a world that was waste and empty and confusion, God as the Holy Spirit moved
over
the
waters.
Note
verses 2 and
3 are full of
conjunctions ‘and’, the translators choose to put full stops
before
each ‘and’, but in reality it is one
continuous thought leading to a conclusion.
The
Spirit of God and God are one and the same.
It
could quite easily have said and the Spirit of God said.
The
power was in the spoken word of God, who said ‘Light Be’, and there was light.
We
then see a whole list of the activities of God.
God
saw
God
called
God
said
God
made
God
created.
The
word most used is God ‘said’.
As
a power you would never assign speech to the Spirit of God,
but
the reality is that the Spirit of God or the Holy Spirit does communicate with
our spirit.
Anywhere
you see God said, you can be assured that whatever is said, is said with power,
and
it will come to pass. Also if the Eternal God tells someone to say some thing,
that will
also
come to pass. The power is in the
spoken word.
Job
said that he was made by the Spirit of God.
Job 33:4 The Spirit of God
hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
It
is very clear that:
The
Holy Spirit Is God, and
The Holy Spirit Is
Not A Power.
The only way out of our dilemmas is Jesus Christ.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come soon Lord
Jesus.
Amen.
