Jesus Is God

Many have a wrong concept and a wrong understanding about Jesus Christ. Brain
washing has conditioned us to see Christ, either as a helpless babe in a
manger, or dead on a cross, with a lily white body with little dabs of red in
places.
Additionally there are the pictures, which
purport to be Christ,
as ‘The Good Shepherd’,
a long haired effeminate being, holding a
sheep.
There are many variations on this picture.
The picture can have a heart with a flame, ‘
The sacred heart’, etc., etc.
The fact is that these pictures are nothing else but paintings of Fallen
Angels, and they have absolutely nothing
to do with Jesus Christ.
For a comprehensive display of such illustrations see our document: Building The
Ark.
Furthermore if you have any such pictures, or crucifixes in your home,
you are advised to remove them from your home with all haste, as such things
can easily be entrance points for demons. You are hindering blessings, and
rather causing your home to be cursed,
rather than to be blessed.
Additionally it would be most unlikely that there would be ‘Peace’ in
your home.
Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of
my Father:
and no man knoweth
who the Son is, but the Father;
and who the Father
is, but the Son,
and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
In all the confusion about whether Jesus is God or not, we have a verse
which very clearly states that those who have no relationship with either
Christ or His Father, will neither know Christ or the Father.
This is not complicated at all.
We can claim to be a prophet, evangelist, Doctor of Theology or whatever we
like. The reality is that we are not on the side of Christ period.
It is only through a direct relationship with Christ that we will know
who the Father is, then when we know who Christ is, He will reveal who the Father
is to us. This means that any church or organization that denies Christ is a
direct tool of our adversary.
This puts vast millions in the wrong camp.
They are not whom they think they are, and neither are they serving the
God that they imagine they are.
This is an enormous and terrible deception.
Recently I have come across several instances of people claiming to be
‘Christians’, yet they say that Jesus is not God.
I have had this from Catholic
email lists, amongst others.
We had some of Dr Deagle’s videos on the site
as some of the things
he said
were very useful, but I then heard him clearly state that Jesus
was not God, but that He was in the process
of becoming ‘a God’.
This is not a small matter, but rather a matter of the utmost gravity.
If Christ was not whom He claimed to be, then we do not have a saviour.
Jesus Christ left us
without the slightest shadow of doubt regarding
whom He said that He
was.
Additionally, He did one thing that would completely have disqualified
Him from being our Saviour, as He would have seriously sinned.
What was it that He did that would have made him an imposter,
if he was not indeed very God?
The answer is that,
on more than one occasion He accepted worship.
Even angels refused to accept worship from human beings.
We see this situation with John in the book of Revelation.
Revelation 19:10 And I
fell at his feet to worship him.
And he said unto me,
See thou
do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have
the testimony of Jesus: worship
God: for the testimony of Jesus
is the spirit of prophecy.
This angel was so
magnificent in appearance that John thought that he would worship him.
This happened again
in,
Revelation 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not:
for I am
thy fellowservant, and of thy
brethren the prophets,
and of them which keep the
sayings of this book: worship God.
It is clear that
these angels were appearing in their full splendour.
The same thing
happened to the apostle Peter, not because of his appearance, but rather
because of whom he was, Cornelius had
total respect for him, and he had to be stopped from worshipping him.
Acts 10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him,
and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
Acts 10:26 But Peter took him up, saying,
Stand up; I myself also am a man.
This is a terrible trap for
even genuine believers.
Of course this becomes a
problem with pride.
Unfortunately, today, many seek
hero worship.
This is all wrong.
On the other side of
the scale, when Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, he appeared as an
ordinary man.
As an adult he had no
great physical beauty to attract others to him.
Isaiah 53:2 For he shall grow up before him
as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he
hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that
we should desire him.
This shows the
supreme wisdom of the Eternal God.
If Christ was what people
picture as the ideal man,
they would be attracted to him
for all the wrong reasons.
This could no be allowed to
happen.
We have to accept Christ for
the right reasons.
We have to accept that He was
who He claimed to be.
We have to accept what He stood
for.
We have to accept what He did for us as an ordinary man
and not as a ‘Super Star’.
We have to accept His sacrifice
on our behalf.
We have to accept the salvation
which He offers us.
Right from Christ’s birth when
He could do nothing about it,
we see that the wise men
worshipped him.
Matthew 2:11 And when they
were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother,
and fell down, and worshipped him:
and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold,
and frankincense, and myrrh.
Interestingly we are not told
that his parents forbade them to do this,
the reason is that Mary
accepted what she had been told by the angel,
and what had happened to her,
regarding the conception of Christ by the Holy Spirit. She knew who she was,
and who her first born son was.
Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be
called the Son of the Highest:
and the Lord God shall give
unto him the throne of his father David:
She knew that intercourse had
not taken place between her,
and any man at that point so
though married it had not been consummated, therefore she was
still a virgin.
She gave birth to his brothers
and sisters whose father was Joseph, unlike the Father of Christ.
Matthew
13:55 Is not this the carpenter’s son?
is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon,
and Judas?
Matthew 13:56 And his sisters, are they not all
with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
It is absolutely wrong to say
that Mary was a perpetual virgin,
as the Roman Catholic Church
declares, as she had other children,
by her human husband Joseph.
From these verses we see that Christ had four brothers and at least two
sisters.
As adult we see Christ
accepting worship.
Matthew
28:16 ¶ Then the eleven disciples went
away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they
worshipped him: but some doubted.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto
them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Lest any think that this was
just another way for saying they greeted Him, consider this:
Matthew 28:9 And as they went to tell his
disciples, behold,
Jesus met them, saying, All
hail.
And they
came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
John 9:37 And Jesus said
unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
John 9:38 And he
said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
We have seen that several times
Christ accepted worship which is precisely forbidden.
In the Old Testament we are
told:
Exodus 34:14 For thou
shalt worship no other god: for the LORD,
whose name is Jealous, is
a jealous God:
Psalms 99:9 Exalt the LORD our God, and
worship at his holy hill;
for the LORD our God is
holy.
In the New Testament, Christ
confirmed the words of the second commandment.
Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get
thee hence, Satan:
for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God,
and him only shalt thou serve.
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto
him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it
is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord
thy God,
and him only shalt thou serve.
As We have seen that Christ accepted worship,
we are plainly being told
that He is the very same as the Eternal God,
as He has stated that we should only worship God.
He is the human manifestation of the Eternal God.
There are other very clear
bible proofs which explain precisely whom Jesus Christ was in reality.
John Chapter 1 is a classic
exposition on Christ.
John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God,
and the Word was God.
John 1: 2 The same was in the beginning with
God.
John 1: 3 All things were made by him; and
without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life;
and the life was the light of men.
This tells us that the one who became Christ
existed since the beginning.
This far predates the creation record in Genesis 1:1, which says:
Genesis 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created
the heaven and the earth.
We can say this as verse 3 of John 1 told us that Christ was the very Creator
God. In the following verse we not only see that He was the Creator but also
the Redeemer.
Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer,
and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the
LORD that maketh all things; that
stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that
spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
For those who are saying there
are two or three Gods.
It clearly states that the
‘Lord’, did it all by ‘myself’.
I accept that it can be hard
for all our finite minds to even begin to start
to understand the infinite.
The best way that I can explain
it in my limited way is that Christ is the human garment, with which the
Eternal God decided to clothe Himself when He came as a human being.
In order to become a human
being Christ had to have a human spirit,
as he was born of a ‘woman’, he
would have a human spirit.
Mary the mother of Christ
produced they physical body for Christ.
As we have already seen the
human spirit is a creation of the ‘Lord’.
The Holy Spirit is perfect and
therefore demands perfection.
Matthew 5:48 Be ye
therefore perfect, even as your Father which is
in heaven is perfect.
In this human spirit the Holy
Spirit dwelt in fullness.
Colossians 2:9 For in
him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Some of the disciples were able to witness the stripping away of the barrier of
the flesh, so that the glory of Christ could be seen at what is referred to as
the ‘Transfiguration’.
I believe that man was made in
the image of God,
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own
image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
I mean that the unfallen spirit
in man caused the man to be clothed with light as a garment. I do not mean as
the sun but light none the less. When Adam and Eve sinned, I believe that this
light went out and they then new that they were naked, thus trying to replace
this garment of light with fig leaves.
Here however, what was being
seen was not the spirit in man at all, but the fullness of the Holy Spirit
shining in the form and person they knew as Jesus. This was an awesome
spectacle and they would be in no doubt that Christ was indeed who He claimed
to be.
Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them:
and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
Mark 9:2 And after six days Jesus taketh with
him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain
apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
We can be certain that the
human spirit of Christ was not fallen like the rest of mankind. We can say this
because the Holy Spirit does not dwell in a fallen human spirit.
Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within you: and I
will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart
of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit
within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my
judgments, and do them.
Because a fallen spirit cannot
be the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit,
when one is truly “born from above”, a real change takes place in the
spirit world, the fallen spirit in man is replaced by a new unfallen spirit in
man, in which the Holy Spirit can dwell.
From this we can see that many
who claim to be born again are not born from above, because all that has
happened is they have gone through a ritual which does not affect their lives
in any way whatsoever.
The indwelling Holy Spirit
profoundly changes the life of a person.
Because being born from above
is a God activity which requires our cooperation. Christ explains this when He
asked the disciples whom did they think He was.
Matthew
16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say
ye that I am?
Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and
said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto
him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it
unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
It is folly to teach, and
believe that we can save the whole world, by some means or other, such as
clever words or a smart procedure or spin. It is simply not true.
God has to call otherwise
nothing at all will happen in reality.
John 6:44 No man
can come to me, except the Father which hath sent
me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Note here that Christ says that He, Christ
will raise up those the Father
calls on the last day.
To further complicate matters He also says
twice that He and the Father
are one, not two or three.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
John 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest
me I have given them;
that they may be one, even as we are one:
This means precisely what it says, whether we
can wrap our minds
around it is immaterial.
There are countless millions of supposedly
simple things which we
cannot understand in the physical world much
less the spiritual world.
How is the sky and the sea blue?
How do the various spiders know how to build
all very different and very
complex webs.
How do salmon find their way back to where
they were born, and on and
on it goes.
There are loads of ‘healing
ministries’ out there,
what happens when someone is
healed ?
How do the changes take place
right down at the cell or even atomic
level to produce the healing?
etc. etc.
Christ’s
assignment was to keep totally sinless even through the rigorous
rejection, and most horrific death when He
took on Himself all the sins of
mankind.
Certainly the human Spirit of Christ, which is
the exact spiritual representation
of Christ existed at the time of the
beginning, even if his physical form had not
been brought into existence as yet.
It is the spirit that matters far more than
the body.
It is the spirit that is used to resurrect
man, it has the complete blueprint,
memories, and most minute details of the body
in which it resides.
The spirit in man is of such a great
importance that it is mentioned
in the very same sentence as the creation of
the heavens and the earth.
Zechariah 12:1 ¶ The burden of the word of the
LORD for Israel,
saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens,
and layeth the
foundation
of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
During the three and a half years ministry of
Jesus Christ, his enemies
accused him of claiming to be ‘God’ whilst he was just a man.
John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying,
For a good work we stone
thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man,
makest thyself God.
The reality is that Christ was telling the
truth.
Even demons acknowledged and still acknowledge
who Christ is.
Is it not quite remarkable that demons and
Satan their leader,
whom we know are supremely evil can
acknowledge Christ for whom
He is, and humans, who we tend to think of as
being less evil cannot do
so. Many in their foolishness and ignorance go
as far as to say that
there is no such being as God, but that is
another subject.
Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out,
and fell down before him,
and with a loud voice said, What have I to do
with thee,
Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
Luke 4:34 Saying, Let us alone; what
have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of
Nazareth? art thou
come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art;
the Holy One of God.
Luke 4:41 And devils also came out of many,
crying out, and saying,
Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he
rebuking them suffered them
not to speak:
for they knew that he was Christ.
The following verses set us a very specific
problem.
1 John 4:2 Hereby know
ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth
not that Jesus Christ is come in
the flesh is not of
God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have
heard that it should come; and even now
already is it in the world.
The enemies of Jesus did not
have a problem with the fact that Christ was a man. They could see him, speak
to him and even touch him.
The verses of John would make
absolutely no sense at all if any ‘spirit’ did not confess that Jesus Christ
had not come in the flesh, as it meant that anyone man or spirit, were denying
the physical evidence before their eyes, of a living walking, talking human
being.
We could say that the verses
could have one of two meanings.
1) That Jesus Christ who was the Son of God and claiming to be God, was
indeed God, in the flesh.
or
2) That Jesus Christ who had died, and been resurrected, and ascended into
heaven had in fact come back as the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and on conversion
the Holy Spirit in fact makes the new convert his dwelling place, therefore we
can say that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Although of course we should
believe both meanings,
I believe that the second
reason which I believe the apostle John wrote after the resurrection and ascension of Christ is
the reason being referred to here.
This could have been written as
late as 90 AD.
Satan and his evil spirits know
and acknowledge who the Eternal God is.
Some people do acknowledge God
in some way or another.
The reality for ALL is that at
the name of Jesus every knee will bow.
This will not be a matter of
choice,
but of the very command of the
Eternal God Himself.
Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth;
We need not concern ourselves
with the things in heaven and that are under the earth. We need to fully
understand that sooner or later every person will bow and acknowledge that
Jesus is Lord, even if this is done on the short trip to the Lake of fire.
We therefore have a choice to
quit our rebellion and humbly bow before the Almighty Creator God, or be forced
to do it at a later time.
The idea that one day we will
suddenly be resurrected and automatically have all the creative powers, honour
and glory of the Eternal God is quite preposterous. I know some ‘Christians’,
who even if you gave them all the ingredients, would struggle to make a cake,
or keep a tropical fish tank or successfully keep a house plant!
The Eternal God is doing a
special work in mankind, his prize creation,
whom He created for His
purpose. He came to earth in the person of Christ to reconcile us to Himself by
His death and resurrection.
Whether we want to accept it or
not,
Christ was God, is God, and
will always be God.
We will never be God, but we
will be children of God.
This is the Christ
whom we have discussed in this document.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto
us a son is given:
and the government shall be
upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.
