The Sabbath Is Not Jewish

On our website there are many articles which deal with the Sabbath, however,

I still feel that it is necessary to explain the fact that the Sabbath is not Jewish,

and that there are severe consequences for us all if we pollute the Sabbath, and

ignore the Statutes and Judgments of the Eternal, on the grounds that they

are no longer applicable as we are under the New Covenant.

As you will see, this is a critical matter that will affect everyone on planet earth.

Every time that the Sabbath is mentioned, it is quite normal to be told that it is Old

Covenant, therefore it does not apply today.

Satan, our adversary has a very good reason for fooling people into believing that

the Sabbath is not for today.

The reason is that it is a defining mark of the Eternal God,

which identifies people as being ‘His People’.

Satan wants everyone to have his “mark of the beast” instead.

Sunday certainly qualifies as a major mark of the beast.

It is certainly not the only thing, but it is a very important one.

As in all things there will be false Sabbath keepers, just like there are false Jews.

The Sabbath was created at the end of the creation of the material earth, and mankind.

Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made;

and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it:

because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

It is very important to notice that the seventh day was blessed and sanctified.

We also see that the Eternal God rested on that day.

He was not tired.

He was enjoying the beautiful creation that He had just made.

If I invite you to a Feast, and you turn up one day early or one day late,

that is just too bad.

You will miss the Feast.

One day early no food would be prepared,

one day late, you can do the washing up, but certainly there would be no Feast.

Of the Feasts of the Eternal God,

The Sabbath is the first Feast mentioned in the bible.

It is therefore in an entirely different category to all other non-Feast days.

It is a specific period of time that is blessed.

Leviticus 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,

Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations,

even these are my feasts.

3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest,

an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein:

it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

We see clearly that the Eternal God refers to the Sabbath, as the Sabbath of the Lord.

The following verses add ‘thy God’, so there can be no doubt about which LORD is meant.

Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:

Deuteronomy 5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God……

Those are the three specific verses which state that the Sabbath belongs

to the Lord our God.

As it was not ours in the first place, how dare we think that we could change it?

If I blessed you with using my seaside home for your holiday, does that give you

the permission to gut it and refurbish it to your liking?

There are fifteen verses in the bible where the Sabbaths are referred

to by the Eternal God, as “my Sabbaths”.

It was never intended to be a burden, nor a test commandment.

It was designed to be a Festival, a time of rejoicing and enjoyment, a time of refreshing,

a holy convocation, and rest.

Why could we not do this on a Friday or a Sunday?

Shouldn’t Christians be worshipping God any and every day?

The answer is simple.

No other day of the week has been sanctified, and blessed so that it is a blessing to those

who do not pollute it. We should remember that work, as we know it, is not a blessing.

Work was a punishment for sin. After the sin of our first parents,

we were going to labour and sweat in order to eat bread.

Originally the treadmill of never ending back breaking and, or soul destroying work

was not the plan all. Satan has not only managed to hide the Sabbath, but also he has gotten

us working to excess just to survive.

One day we will learn that the Eternal God did not make us to be robots or machines.

We have freewill and we have been told to choose life and not death.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,

that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life,

that both thou and thy seed may live:

This is what we were created for.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply,

and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,

and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 ¶ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed,

which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit

of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Life was meant to be interesting, creative, enjoyable and rewarding.

This is the very opposite of what it is for most of us today.

Nowhere in the entire Bible is it stated that the Eternal God has said

that He has unsanctified the Sabbath, and sanctified another day of the week,

such as Sunday. Such a very important institution would not, and indeed could not be changed

by logic or faulty reasoning and deduction.

To sanctify is to set apart for holy use.

So we are told that the day was not only set apart for holy use, but it was also blessed.

Although most of Christianity would like you to believe that it is a small matter,

it is not.

It is man who set aside another day, and called it the Sabbath.

This day is Sunday.

How can any man sanctify a period of time and bless it?

It simply cannot be done.

It is just nonsense.

Man cannot make a single thing holy, absolutely nothing.

Man cannot bless a single thing, and make that blessing effective.

Of course man can give gifts, that look superficially very good,

but often these turn out to be serious curses, simply because God is not involved.

Rev W M Clow. D.D. in his “The Bible Reader’s Encyclopaedia and Concordance”

states:

‘The traditional Jewish Sabbath provided a basis for our distinctively Christian Sabbath,

or “Lord’s Day.” The latter title is the more correct, as the early Christians made

the first day of the week (the day following the Jewish Sabbath) their day of worship

in memory of our Lord’s Resurrection on that day.’

First: the Sabbath is not Jewish, in spite of two such claims in one small paragraph.

Second: the Sabbath is not a tradition, it is an ordinance of the Eternal God.

Third: there is no such thing as the Christian Sabbath.

Fourth: the Lord’s day, or the Day of the Lord is not any kind of Sabbath,

but rather a time of horrific judgment on the entire world, therefore it is wrong

to speak about correct titles.

Fifth: nowhere is it stated that the early Christians worshipped on the first day of the week.

Sixth: nowhere are we told to commemorate the Resurrection of Christ,

we are told to remember His death at the Passover.

Seventh: the resurrection was not on Sunday, but rather at the end of the Sabbath,

which is dusk and not dawn. The Eternal starts His days at Sunset, and the Jews do the same.

How is it possible for two relatively short sentences to have so many errors?

What is even more distressing is that the vast majority of ministers and Christians

agree with the above quotation.

D.D. is really better described as Double Dead, instead of Doctor of Divinity.

It is clear that professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Why am I always making such a fuss over the Sabbath?

Read on and you will see.

The Sabbath was not only sanctified, but those who hallowed the Sabbath were also

sanctified.

What does that mean?

It means that it was one of the identifying signs to show that ‘Sabbath Observers’,

were people, who were sanctified by the Eternal God.

This means that they were set apart for Holy use.

The Sabbath is therefore a sign of our relationship with the Eternal God.

If we are not, as it were wearing the sign of sanctification, it has to mean

that not only are we not sanctified, but we are also unlikely to be doing the work

of the Eternal, which we are claiming to be doing.

Is it only a matter of keeping the Sabbath?

No.

There are many other statutes and judgments which ‘Sons of God’ need to observe.

These do not gain us salvation, no more than obeying traffic laws will result in a knighthood.

The sooner that we realize that the New Testament is complimentary to the Old Testament,

the better. The New Covenant which is better than the Old Covenant,

does not mean that we can ignore, and even forget the parts of the Word of God.

Animal sacrifices were replaced by the sacrifice of Christ, and certain other aspects

are no longer applicable, due to Christ’s death and resurrection.

Additionally to obey these regulations was the means of not only being sanctified,

but also of having life.

Does this mean that we are saved by works?

Of course not.

We are saved by Grace, and by Grace alone.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:

it is the gift of God:

It is important to obey any and all instructions which the Eternal God gives us.

Grace is not license to sin and become a rebel, but that is precisely what is practiced.

Ezekiel 20: 11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments,

which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them,

that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

We can see the purpose that is stated throughout many books of the Bible.

The Eternal God wants people to know that the Eternal is God.

This is achieved by obedience.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

When Christ said these words the only written word of God was the ‘Old Testament’.

Naturally we rebel, and with Satanic reasoning state that we can throw the Old Testament

in the fire, because we are now ‘New Testament Believers’.

The result is that we will be thrown into the fire, and not the Word of God,

which will exist even if we burn every bible on the face of the earth.

We are clearly told that because of rebellion we are going to be ruled with fury.

Ezekiel 20:21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me:

they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do,

he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury

upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

Recently we have added the following as a banner on many of our documents.

What has the Sabbath, and the Old Testament Judgments to do with those “that

hate you having the rule over you?”

Our disregard for these important requirements are resulting in judgment.

At present many are complaining about President Bush, Prime Minister Blair,

the Government, the Business and Medical corporations and all aspects of life,

as daily things become more difficult. Prices are spiraling out of control.

House hold gas for cooking and heating has almost doubled in the past 12 months

in the UK. There are other messages that deal with these things.

The point is this.

Because of our rejection of the Eternal God, and our total rebellion to his commands,

He has given us rulers in every area of life whose goal is to destroy us.

Furthermore they are doing this with great pride arrogance and hate.

Ezekiel 20:24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes,

and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.

25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good,

and judgments whereby they should not live;

We are told that the statutes, and judgments, under which are forced to live,

are not good, and the goal is that they will ultimately kill us off.

That is what that sentence means.

Do you still think that the Sabbaths, statutes and judgments are nor applicable?

The Eternal God states that He is the one responsible for letting us have rulers

who are literally abominable.

Daniel 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word

of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth

in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will,

and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Psalms 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Why would this be?

The answer is that the Eternal God blessed us abundantly, and instead of turning to Him,

thanking Him, listening to and obeying Him, we told Him in effect to ‘buzz off’,.

we will do exactly what we want to do, precisely when we want to do it,

and that is the end of the matter.

We spurned God when He blessed us, now He is trying suffering, to get our attention.

Both sets of actions have a common goal.

The Eternal God wants us to know and acknowledge that He is the LORD.

We should never ever forget He came and died for us so that we can each

have an undeserved personal relationship with Him.

No greater price could be paid for our salvation.

We are accused of all sorts of abominations. I will do a separate document on this fact.

We also see that we actually sacrifice our children.

Ezekiel 2026 And I polluted them in their own gifts

in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb,

that I might make them desolate,

to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.

Even our gifts have become polluted, but there is still much more to come.

You do not have to agree with me, all you have to do is wait and see.

However, you have to ask yourself if this is a wise decision.

In the meantime look around you and use all the logic and reasoning which you can muster,

and explain what is taking place in the world in which you live.

The world is falling apart.

Lying, stealing, coveting, murder, witchcraft, adultery and fornication are the norm.

Idolatry and worshipping idols and false gods, which are nothing else but evil spirits,

that are devils, is not only acceptable, but also promoted.

This is all done while bibles are waved around, and the name of Christ is bandied about.

The entire 13 tribes of Israel were scattered to the four corners of the earth,

because of their rebellion. Even then as I have said they were incredibly blessed.

Satan is trying to pre-empt the Eternal God’s plan by setting up a counterfeit Israel

in the Middle East. See Israel, Judah, Britain and America.

Now there is coming a time, and it might be sooner than we think, that all the nations

which have an inheritance in the Middle East will again be brought there.

The LORD says I will do it.

We can see that all the nations are going to be brought back into their

ordained land at the same time.

Ezekiel 16:53 When I shall bring again their captivity,

the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters,

then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:

54 That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that

thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate,

and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate,

then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

What has this got to do with the Sabbath?

Everything.

All that are going to ultimately end up in the New Israel are going to be ruled

in fury poured out. This is just too bad for those preaching escaping by a ‘Rapture’.

Ezekiel 20:33 ¶ As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand,

and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries

wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm,

and with fury poured out.

This does not sound too much like floating on a cloud somewhere to me.

Now here is the rub.

There is a stopping of place before Israel.

It is called ‘the wilderness of the people’.

We are also told that the Eternal God is going to plead with His people

in the wilderness face to face.

There will be no distractions there, no play stations, computers and TV and everything else

that has contributed to us being messed up and rebellious.

It is possible that this time in the wilderness might be during the 3½ year tribulation.

Ezekiel 20:35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people,

and there will I plead with you face to face.

This is going to be just like the time of the first Exodus.

It might even be in the same wilderness area.

Twice in two verses we see that the LORD is going to plead with His people.

Ezekiel 20:36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt,

so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.

We are then told that everyone is going to pass under the rod.

Just as animals are counted one at a time when they are being penned or sold,

that is what is going to happen.

It will be no good blaming your, Pastor or any one else then.

It is you and your Maker.

Would it therefore not be a good idea to check out what is being said here?

What if what is being said is correct, where does that leave you?

Ezekiel 20:37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod,

and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

The transporting to this place in the wilderness will include rebels and transgressors.

It is in the wilderness that the separation takes place.

We can see that not all who are brought from the countries in which they sojourn

will make it into the land of Israel.

Ezekiel 20:38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress

against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn,

and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Read the whole of Ezekiel chapter 20 and answer the following question.

What did the rebels transgress against?

The answer is:

The statutes, the judgments, and the pollution of the Sabbaths.

It is no good to run and try to twist the New Testament.

These verses are clearly telling of events yet to happen.

They do not contradict the New Testament.

Ezekiel 20:40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel,

saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me:

there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits

of your oblations, with all your holy things.

41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people,

and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered;

and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel,

into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

Not too many in the house of Israel, or in Christendom know who the Lord is.

Not too many listen to Him and obey.

Not too many observe the Sabbath, and obey His statutes and judgments,

which marks them out as people of God.

This is just a fact.

There are countless hundreds of millions who honour Satan’s Day,

the day of the Sun, Sunday, which we have exposed in previous documents

as the mark of the Roman Catholic church, and which she proudly acknowledges.

My intention is not to cover Sabbath material, which already exists of the Site,

but rather to give some additional and currently very relevant information,

to show the great importance of the Sabbath, the statutes and judgments,

of the Eternal God, who says I change not.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

We can see that there is severe punishment for those who rebel against keeping

the Statutes, Judgments and Sabbaths.

We have seen that the Sabbath is not Jewish, but rather it is of the Eternal God,

and it, as well as the statutes and judgments are designed to be great blessings

to all humanity. To believe anything else is to be deceived.

Be Humble Repent Listen To The Eternal God Obey Him.

This is very easy to say, but I assure you that it is physically an impossibility without

the empowerment of the Eternal God.

Just going up to some altar call, running to some church, or isolating yourself

in the hope that somehow it will all go away, will not do it.

What are you going to do about it before it is too late?
