Here's the
reason, shocking but enlightening truth: The
Bible Is Used To Deceive
A Message From Peter James
EASTER
As I
write this everyone is getting ready to acknowledge the Crucifixion of Christ
on
‘Good Friday’, and then the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.
The
reality is that Easter is a pagan festival which has nothing whatsoever
to
do with Christ.
We
will prove that Christ was not crucified on a Friday and that additionally He
was not
resurrected
on a Sunday morning.
Let us look at a prophecy in Daniel.
Daniel 9:26
And after threescore and two
weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:
and the people of the prince that shall come shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary;
and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and
unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And
he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
and in the midst of the week he shall
cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
and for the overspreading of abominations he shall
make it desolate, even until the consummation,
and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
We are told that
“in
the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”
This is used by scholars to say that Christ would die in the middle of the week.
Daniel 12:11-12 also uses this same principle of a day for a year.
We can see two verses which establish this principle.
Numbers 14:34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land,
even
forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty
years,
and ye shall know my breach of promise.
Ezekiel 4:6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side,
and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days:
I have appointed thee each day for a year.
Christ’s ministry lasted three and a half years, and He became the perfect
sacrifice which meant that there was no longer any need for animal sacrifices.
The following table shows that according to Daniel’s
prophecy,
the Messiah would be murdered in the middle of the
week.
It uses the principle of defining days as mentioned in
Genesis chapter 1.
the day is comprised of the evening and the morning,
or as we would say today,
night and day.
In Genesis we read the definition of the day as stated
by the Eternal God.
The night of the day preceded the day.
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the
darkness he called Night.
And the evening and the morning were the first day.
John 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours
in the day?
If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because
he seeth the light of this world.
Of course to cause utter confusion Satan has organized
that the day precedes the night.
The fact is that we are now in a period of night, and
this will be followed by a period of day.
Called
Day 1 Saturday PM to Sunday PM 24 hours
Day 2 Sunday PM to Monday PM 24 hours
Day 3 Monday PM to Tuesday PM 24 hours
Day 4 Tuesday
PM to Wednesday PM 24 hours
Day 5
Wednesday PM to Thursday PM 24 hours
Day 6
Thursday PM to Friday PM 24
hours
Day 7 Friday PM to Saturday PM 24 hours also known as the weekly Sabbath.
We can clearly see that Day 4 is the middle of the week.
The daylight part of Day 4 we call Wednesday.
There is a second proof in the New Testament.
We can see that Christ was crucified before a Sabbath.
Most then wilfully choose to ignore or assume that the crucifixion had therefore
to take place on the day before the weekly Sabbath.
The fact is that there are weekly Sabbaths and annual Sabbaths,
which also referred to as Feasts, Holy Convocations, or High days.
Leviticus 23:1 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the
LORD,
which ye shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 Six
days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an
holy convocation;
ye shall do no work therein: it is the
sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
4 ¶ These are
the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations,
which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
5 In the
fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’S passover.
6 And on
the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread
unto the LORD:
seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
Let us now look at the Gospel of
John, and the time of Christ’s crucifixion.
John clearly states that the day that Christ was being
crucified was not the preparation
day for the weekly Sabbath, but rather the preparation
day for the Passover.
Prophecies were being full filled.
The perfect, spotless Passover Lamb was being slain,
on the correct day at the correct time, for my sins
your sins and the sins of all mankind.
John 19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he
brought Jesus forth, and sat
down in the judgment seat in a place that is called
the Pavement, but in the Hebrew,
Gabbatha.
14 And it
was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith
unto the Jews, Behold your King!
15 But
they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate
saith unto
them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests
answered, We have no king but Caesar.
16 ¶ Then
delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus,
and led him away.
17 And he
bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull,
which is
called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
18 Where
they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and
Jesus in
the midst.
19 ¶ And
Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was,
JESUS OF
NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Once again the apostle John emphasizes that the
Sabbath was not a weekly Sabbath,
but a high day, an annual Sabbath.
John 19:31 ¶ The Jews therefore, because it was the
preparation,
that the bodies should not remain upon
the cross on the sabbath day,
(for that sabbath day was an high day,)
besought Pilate that their legs might be broken,
and that they might be taken away.
This is not a small matter, but rather a matter of
crucial importance.
Christ said that the only sign of whom he was rested
on the fact that he would remain
in the grave for three days and three nights,
precisely.
That is a total of 72 hours, not one and a half, or
two and a half, but three complete days.
Now the approach of a Sabbath day had its own problems
for the Jews.
They were quite happy to murder our perfectly innocent
Lord and Saviour,
but they did not want to disqualify themselves from
breaking the law and
being unable to participate in eating the Passover.
It is so hypocritical.
But we do exactly the same today.
Today we go to war and kill people who have done
absolutely nothing to us, because
of our greed and covetousness as the apostle James
says.
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire
to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war,
yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
We kill not only our ‘enemies’, but we also kill
ourselves and our children in the process.
Are you aware that most of the soldiers and equipment
in the Iraq theatre of war are contaminated
with radio activity because of depleted uranium?
To be in the presence of, or to touch, these people or
equipment, is to be contaminated.
What is to happen to these soldiers and equipment?
Back to the crucifixion,
where we can see the frantic activity to put the body
of Christ into a tomb before sunset, as verse 42 says
because of the Jews’ preparation day.
John 19:38 ¶ And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a
disciple of Jesus,
but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate
that he might take away the body of Jesus:
and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took
the body of Jesus.
39 And
there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night,
and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an
hundred pound weight.
40 Then
took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices,
as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
41 Now in
the place where he was crucified there was a garden;
and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never
man yet laid.
42 There
laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation
day;
for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
If we look at another gospel we will see further
frantic activity due to the on rushing Sabbath.
The distraught lovers of Christ, wanted to do the best
for their beloved Christ in the
limited time available to them.
Mark 15: 46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down,
and wrapped him in the linen,
and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a
rock,
and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
47 And
Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
Suddenly everything stopped.
It was the Sabbath of the Passover.
The next day, Friday, which was an ordinary working
day during daylight hours
the women went and bought spices to anoint the body of
Christ.
They would have to carry the heavy spices home.
They did not just run to the supermarket and buy some
spices.
In any case we could not go to a supermarket and buy
that amount of spices today.
From John Chapter 19 we see
Nicodemus with 100 pounds weight of spices.
John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the
first came to Jesus by night,
and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an
hundred pound weight.
So Christ is put in the tomb on Wednesday evening,
From Wednesday evening to Thursday evening we have the
Sabbath of the Passover.
We have the first day of three days.
From Thursday evening to Friday evening is a normal
day and Christ’s body remains in the tomb,
the women prepare to do the embalming of the body.
Some of the women went and bought spices to anoint the
body of Christ.
They would have to transport them, mix and prepare
them.
There were no cars and modern transport.
No sooner than they had done everything, they had run
out of time.
We have the second day of three days.
How could that be that they had run out of time?
Because once again it was the Sabbath.
But I thought we just had a Sabbath.
Yes, we did but this final Sabbath, was the weekly
Sabbath.
Christ’s
body remains in the tomb for the whole weekly Sabbath.
That
is from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
We have
the third day of three days.
Immediately after the Sabbath this is what happens.
John 20:1 ¶ The first day of the week cometh
Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark,
unto
the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter,
and to the other disciple,
whom
Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the
sepulchre,
and
we know not where they have laid him.
The
pagan promoters of Easter say that Christ rose on Sunday morning.
That
is not what the scripture says at all.
These
lovers of Christ did not wait until Sunday morning to go to the tomb at all.
They
went at the first opportunity.
What
does this mean.
As
we have clearly shown the day starts after sunset.
Therefore
the first day of the week ‘cometh’ not at dawn, but at dusk of the previous day.
We
are told that Mary Magdalene came when it was yet dark.
This
is precisely when the day starts.
In
spite of their best efforts they were still too late, Christ had already been
resurrected.
Mary
then sees Jesus but does not recognise him.
He
might well have looked different, but what is certain is that it was dark,
and
there was no electric flood lighting.
It
is not surprising that she could not recognise Him.
John 20:14 And when she had
thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing,
and
knew not that it was Jesus.
15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest
thou? whom seekest thou?
She,
supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir,
if
thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take
him away.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned
herself, and saith unto him,
Rabboni;
which is to say, Master.
So
we have seen Christ was in the tomb,
Wednesday
Evening to Thursday Evening Day 1
Thursday Evening
to Friday Evening Day 2
Friday Evening to Saturday
Evening. Day 3
He
therefore fulfilled the prophecy which He made about Himself.
Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil
and adulterous generation
seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given
to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights
in the whale’s belly;
so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights
in the heart of the earth.
Once again we see the duration of Christ’s time in the
grave clearly defined.
You see the simple fact is that if that did not take
place precisely as stated,
then the person purporting to be Christ was an
imposter, and we have no Saviour.
I suggest that you utilize the search facility on our
website and you will see
several messages which deal with this subject.
The present pope was born on Easter Sunday, and he is
calling for all Roman Catholics
to go to confession over this Easter period.
Easter is the most important day in the Roman Catholic
Calender.
See our document: The
Abomination Of The Confession
To see some of the details of the pagan origin of
Easter,
read David Meyers article here. The Pagan origin
or Easter.
Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the
LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen,
and be
not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
The
only remaining question is now that you know the truth about Easter,
what
are you going to do about it.
The only way out of our dilemmas is Jesus
Christ.
He is the only way of escape.
Praise the Lord.
Come soon Lord Jesus.
Amen.
