I know that the Roman Catholic Church teaches that they have the authority to do anything at all that they desire.
They claim that even the Eternal God has to be at their beck and call.
However, according to the Word of God are the following practices acceptable to the Eternal God ?
1. Is it lawful to pray to the dead ? The Answer is : NO
2. Is it lawful to pray to Mary and other dead ‘Saints’ ? The Answer is : NO
3. Is it lawful to pray to the relics of the dead, and honour them ? The Answer is : NO
4. Can we really make any difference to the condition of the dead,
when we say ‘May the soul of the faithful departed rest in peace’ ? The Answer is : NO
5. Can the dead, that is any dead person at all, hear you ? The Answer is : NO
6. Are repetitious prayers like the ‘Rosary’ acceptable to the Eternal God ? The Answer is : NO
7. So any prayers and money spent praying for the souls of the dead is a waste ? The Answer is : YES.
8. Is it sin to pray for the dead ? The Answer is : YES.
9. Is it an abomination to have dead bodies, or their parts in any church building ? The Answer is : YES.
If you got any of those questions wrong, then you are wasting either your time, which is your life, or your money.
Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us a single commandment, regarding to whom we should pray.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
He then repeated it in the Gospel of Luke. He never told us to pray, Our Mother, or anyone else.
In fact it is Idolatry to do any such thing. This is a capital sin.
You might not be aware that the first commandments have been so messed up, by the Roman Catholic Church,
that if you looked in your Catholic Bible, you will not find any commandment about ‘Idolatry’, as so much of
this religion included idolatry.
Exodus Chapter 20
1 And God spake all these words,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt
out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that
is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God
am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto
the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me,
and keep my commandments.
This answers the first three questions, but we will add more detail shortly.
What happens immediately after you die?
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
